White Fields

-White Fields. Above the clouds, sitting tall on mountain peaks in the very distant east, the White Fields are inhabited by flying beastkin, but they only serve as the working and fighting class whereas the intellectuals and rulers are supernaturals. Unlike the Red Fields, these have a clear distinction between beastkin and supernatural societal roles.

[ History -[Shared with Red Fields]- ]. The Fields share their founding history. Two supernaturals, Javid, the Dragon King of the West, and Azalkil, the Hawk Emperor were at a conflict. Azalkil ruled the areas where the Citadel has now expanded, whilst Javid had his own territory further west, controlling and sustaining an archipelago there.

Both knew they were going to clash with one another, and did not bother to avoid this. Instead, they decided to make a compromise. Hold their conflict out to the far east corner of the continent instead. However, once Javid left the island, bad weather took over. Snow, hail and  storms were unceasing. Thus, he was forced to evacuate his entire island population to the east. Azalkil saw this as a clear violation, and brought his army in as well.

The battle lasted for far longer than they assumed though. The two had to build more permanent settlements over time. Small villages at first, but they grew and grew, until they turned into a large civilization. War, however, had it come down to a less expansive form. Over time, the Fields have warred slightly, but always kept to their own when things looked to go too far. They maintain their animosity to this day.

[ Economy -[Shared with Red Fields]- ]. Economically the fields are insignificant. They live by what nature can offer them and their trade is limited to the bandits, or secretly, between select factions of each field, who refuse to acknowledge the state of tension, and just smuggle goods between them. Generally, while the Red Fields have a preference towards agriculture and livestock, the White Fields mine precious metals and gems and stick to crafting various items out of them.

[ Politics ]. The White Fields are a singular large metropolis. A central district, a city of its own for the rich and powerful, and rural areas where work and production is carried out. Most of these rural areas are situated in high mountain plateaus, whilst the Domain of Emperors, the central area floats above a permanent, solidified white cloud.

The people in the center command far more respect and decision making is held out by a voting of a set number of 900 of these individuals. This event is seen as a great festivity, and celebrations are often held out, each time a new law is passed out for example.

[ Military ] The white fields have a more organized military. Their Hawk-themed armor is easily recognizable, as is their usage of longbows, lances and other long ranged weapons. Their fighting philosophy involves keeping the enemy as far away from their own as possible. Thus, due to the organized use of supernatural abilities of a White Field military unit, it is very difficult to approach. This tactic is of course, tailored after the red fielders average combat tactics "get in, dunk them, get out and boast about it while drinking".
