Kara's Cure

I am going to get straight to the point as I've rewritten this thing dozens of times now and I don't want to drag this out. A couple weeks ago, my sister (InvaderDez as some of you know her) checked herself into the hospital because she was having trouble breathing. After spending a week there and going through a few tests, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (specifically Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma).

Right now, she is in good spirits and staying very positive. I'm aware this sort of cancer has a high survival rate. However, treatment and recovery could be complicated due to her pre-existing chronic illness, Ehler's-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) hypermobility type. A brief explanation of what EDS is: it's a connective tissue disorder that mostly affects the bones and joints. People with this condition have loose joints and frequently have long-term joint pain. It's considered a "rare" condition, however, my fiancee also suffers from the same type of EDS.

From this point on, all money I make from Twitch will go towards my sister's medical expenses and treatments. I don't make much, but I know every bit counts. I just want everyone to know where their money is going. I hardly spend a dime on myself as it is. I was thinking of starting up a marathon to raise some funds. However, I'm not in the proper head space to put one together right now. I was asked to participate in an event for Speedgaming next month, so everything I make from that will go toward this. I will continue to stream like normal. Gaming has always been therapy for me. I will remain positive and strong through this. I'm very confident she will beat this.
