Swirlyder and WintryCourtney were sailing in their ship on the Antarctic Ocean, enjoying the insanely cold air. Courtney was constantly annoyed at Swirlyder for picking the Antarctic Ocean of all places, while Swirlyder had a grin constantly on his face for some reason.
"Did we have to go to the Antarctic? I mean, it's freezing here!"
"Courtney, dun be like dat. Besides, it's not THAT cold."
Courtney simply just glared at le Swirl, putting her hands on her hips. "You're not the one who has to deal with the cold, you're running around making sure the ropes aren't caught on anything, while I have no idea how to do anything on this thing!"
Swirl looked up at Courtney, still with that strange grin on his face. "Yeah, well, at least it's warm at night for the both of us."
Courtney shook her head, disgusted. "I'm going to go light a fire in the fireplace while you do whatever you're doing."
Swirl chuckled. "Knew it wasn't a horrible idea to put a fireplace on a sailboat. I mean what could go wrong?"
Redylriws, Swirlyder's almost-opposite hopped down from the rigging. "You should know as well as I that there's a long list of people who have had horrible stuff happen to them immediately after saying something like that.
Swirlyder stumbled back and fell on the boat. "GAH! Red, when... when the hell did you get here???"
Redy scratched his head. "I fell asleep in the rigging before you guys left. Sorry."
Swirlyder recovered quickly. "Well, you're here now. Just go back into the rigging and stay there."
Red looked at Swirlyder. "But it's cold!"
Swirl just stared at Redylriws for a while. After a while, Redy sighed and went back into the rigging.

About two weeks later, Swirlyder and Courtney were back where they began their cruise. Redy had taken the opportunity to sneak offboard in a box Swirl carried down, then proceeded to help Swirl with the rest of the boxes. "So, how'd the trip go?"
Courtney looked Redylriws dead in the eye. "I have never been happier to see these plains in my life."
Redy grinned. "I'm guessing Swirl had that grin on his face the whole time? To be fully honest, I would too, for the same reason."
Courtney narrowed her eyes. "And what exactly would that reason be, Redylriws?"
Redylriws held up his hands. "It would have been cold. Anyways, you should prepare for more cold, there's a cold front coming in. It'll be here in a few days.

Two months later, Swirl and Courtney had come full circle, except this time they were sailing across the pacific. "I hear the UK isn't too too cold this time of year."
Courtney shuddered. "I'm never going near Antarctica again."
Swirlyder shrugged. "I don't know, was kinda fun. Plus, the view was amazing."
Courtney narrowed her eyes. "And what exactly do you mean by view, Swirlyder?"
Swirlyder's eyes flicked around nervously. "The ice floes and the way the light reflected off them and the water. It was quite beautiful, don't you think?"
Courtney sighed. "Just make sure Redy doesnt fall asleep in the crow's nest again, I wish to have fun this time."
Swirl gaped at her. "Uh, sure. But um, how did you know about that?"
Courtney winked. "Spoilers, deary."
Later that night, Swirl and Courtney were hanging out on the deck, just looking at the waves, when Swirl burst out with a question. "Hey, Court?"
Courtney looked up at him. "Yes, Swirl?"
"Never mind, it can wait till we're back on land."
Courtney shrugged and looked back at the sea. "Well okay then."

Back on land, Swirl rushed down the gangplank, seemingly trying to find something. A moment later, he rushed out again, with Redy in tow, while Redy was eating an apple. Swirl got back up on the boat, then walked over to Courtney. Pulling out a small case, he kneeled down and before Courtney could react, he popped the question. "Courtney, will you marry me?"
Courtney was taken by surprise, while Redy simply took a bite of the apple he had. "Just one request from me here: make me the best man and Checkers the bridesmaid."
Courtney picked up the case and examined it, opening it. What she found inside would make her cry. "Um, why are there cut onions in here?"
Swirl glared at Redy, who was currently rolling on the ground with laughter. "The real ring's on the counter." He said between gales of laughter.
