Nickname: Emo Elephant (from her best friend, Millie), Jongdae (her Korean name as a man; from Millie as well); Sunshine (from her parents); Daye the Dark Alien (from her brother; she got the nickname because she has a very dark and strange sense of humor)

Family Background: Around age of 20, both of Daye's parents (Jeong Gyeongho - father; Jeong Xia - mother) moved to Seattle to live the American dream. When they were in their late twenties, they had their first child (Jeong Huijin - older brother, 17 years old). One and a half years later they had the "little ball of sunshine" Daye.

Study Background: Growing up, Daye had controversial grades and behavior. They seemed to go up and down, based on her mood. Sometimes she had the urge to be a rebel, other times she did not and did decently. This frustrated the hell out of her parents, and she was looked down upon because her older brother was a straight A student. Daye also occupied herself with learning hip hop dancing and rapping, though her parents didn't mind that she was interested in that kind of music; she just had terrible markings in school. When she was eleven, she and her family moved to South Korea to be closer to her father's family. There, she was able to audition (after many times of begging her parents). Daye is currently attending the Seoul School of Performing Arts to finish her education as she trains.

And so far, throughout her time at school, she has had trouble with many, many boys, accidentally being too trusting. Therefore, she says she is done with them.

Personality: Daye is a very up and down/bipolar (not literally) character. She is very emotional and rebellious, yet she can be humorous and fun as well. Like her grades, she has a personality that takes many twists and turns. She can also be very devoted, persistent, and stubborn. She used to be more trusting, but that dissolved after her past with fuckboys. Currently, her most prominent traits are being emotional, troublesome, (darkly) humorous, and stubborn.

Best Friend: Millie, from when Daye lived in  Seattle. They have still texted and video chatted ever since Daye moved to South Korea, and they visit each other on holidays. They met in kindergarten, when Daye and Millie fought over the tetherball court on the playground. The teacher had them talk it out with each other and they eventually forgave each other, sparking an epic friendship (oh yeah)

How They Met: Daye met him by taking a tour through their trainee building (since the entertainment was considering her). She accidentally lost her tour guide so then she was like a lost puppy (she's terrible with directions). He helped her find her way and they became friends. They typically enjoy cracking jokes together and having deep conversations.

Interactions: She's never gone on a real date with him or anyone since becoming an idol. She still has some trust issues, but they are slowly ebbing away thanks to Sanha/Dino.

A hater splashed cold water all over you, how would you react? "I would probably be in shock for a few moments, then get angry. Or pissed off, at least."

A fan gave a touching letter, what do you do? "I would probably cry. I'm very emotional and when people say nice things to me or touch my heart, I react very emotionally. I probably couldn't even find the right words to say back."

Your someone special surprised you, what would your reaction be? "I would be a little skeptical at first, thinking it was a prank (well, depending on the surprise). But then I would be really emotional (again) and very happy."


•DIRECT•

What would you do if you are accepted?
-I would be really happy because a) I haven't been in many apply fanfics before and b) this story sounds different from other girl group apply fanfics and I'm all for anything different. If I got in then I would always comment and vote frequently, as well.

What would you do if you were not accepted?
-I mean, it happens and I wouldn't really complain. I would be a little disappointed but not mean or bitter about it. I probably wouldn't read the rest of the story, tbh.

Any requests?
-It would be cool to have a chapter where the girls are celebrating something (idk what), turn off their phones (so no one would call them), and wander the city. Because they didn't have any way of contact, they got punished in someway.

-Maybe going to an amusement park?

-Having a deep conversation around a bonfire on a beach or camping (aesthetic af).
