  1. Hazel shaded were filled with an immeasurable rage, fury that was seething inside of Anastasia and bruising her very being. It wasn't in her nature to keep the way she felt about something or someone bottled up inside but against her better judgment. - she'd managed to do so anyway. "Ana, darling...are you sure about doing this?  I mean...confronting him while your emotions are in a state of disarray?" A soft sigh emerged from Monika's plump lips as her hand extended to caress the girl's shoulder. Her crimson manicure toyed with the edges of her daughter's hair.
  2.
  3. "Of course she wants to do this, Monika. He needs to know that he can't just play away with her feelings like that. Besides, I saw him with my own two eyes. Four if you include me wearing my reading glasses." Saskia stated as she folded her arms across her chest. "I'm just saying, she needs to go in with a rational mindset." The older woman shot her other daughter a stern glare. She knew that out of the pair, Saskia would encourage her sister to embrace the outrage when she deemed it necessary. "No offense, old lady, but once you've seen what I saw then you will know that there is no room to rationalize this situation. I'm not going to watch my sister make a fool of herself for some human dumpster with crystal eyes."
  4.
  5. Ana could barely hear anything past the constant agitations of Saskia and Monika going back and forth, hands clinching into closed fists as she pounded on the front door of the Morosini's accommodation.
  6.
  7. ***BANG BANG BANG***
  8.
  9. Time seemed to move as silent and slow as the graveyard before the door was finally opened to her. Behind the hinged barrier stood Lorenzo with his inflated hair and his cordial smile. Had she been in a better mood, the sight of a friendly smile would have been contagious to her, but her temper was exceeding the limits; enhanced by her newfound transformation. "You have to leave. I need to have a few words with your brother." Anastasia brushed past him, pushing her way over the threshold of their premises. Lorenzo tilted his head to the side, eyes glossing over his friend in confusion. "I can't leave just yet. Ophelia is on her way over and I -" Before Lorenzo was able to completely express what he desired to say, Anastasia's hues flickered a shimmering shade of scarlet red and she curled her fingers around the collar of his coat. Lifting him off his feet slightly, the girl tossed him out onto the front porch -- eyeing him as he rolled down the steps like a slinky. Shutting the door behind her, Ana locked the barrier and proceeded to storm through the house.
  10.
  11. "Dante!!! You idiot, where are you?!" She was going to slaughter him. So help her God, she had it in her right mind to end him but she knew that what she truly felt for him wouldn't allow it. "DANTE!!!!!" Slender legs sauntered into the living room area, her orbs scanned her surroundings but there was still no sign of him. At least not until she heard a Bellow of curiosity trailing out from behind her.
  12.
  13. "Are you summoning little old me or are you trying to raise the dead with all that screaming?" Dante arched a brow. The pad of thumb swiped at a trickle of blood that lingered within the corner of his lips. Remnants of crimson delights provoked his tongue to slither out from parted lips.  Chilled breath caressed the nape of Ana's neck like the stroke of a feather. At that moment, she froze, almost forgetting why she had come to see him in the first place. Turning on the heels of her boots, her eyes returned to their normal tint, fingers relaxing as they were no longer balled into fists. Looking at him, she truly couldn't tell if it angered her or brought joy to her world. His square jaw, the menacing form that embellished his face. She loved everything about him. Quickly shaking the thoughts from her mind, she curled her fingers into a tight fist once more and slammed it into his chest with all of her might. "I hate you, Dante. I hate your stupid face and I hate the fact that you exist."
  14.
  15. "First of all, ouch...abuse. Second, there's a long list of people that hate me. So get in line, sweet cheeks. Before I officially initiate you into the 'we hate Dante' club,  mind telling me exactly what I did wrong this time?" Dante tried to be sarcastic. It was one way that he could shield the way he truly felt from her from time to time. What she said to him about hating his existence, struck him deep. He could manage to live his entire life not giving a damn if anyone else cared for him, but her? She had no idea.
  16.
  17. "One minute you're mine and then the next you're breaking up with me and being cold to me. As if I never meant a thing to you. It's always the same excuse, that you don't do love or you're trying to protect me. I don't understand, because protecting me isn't me hearing about you going out with another girl, Dante." Her voice was shaking and she knew that given any moment she would erupt uncontrollably. Just the mere thought of him being with someone else was enough to send her into a frenzy.
  18.
  19. Dante scoffed, almost laughing in her face although it wasn't his true intention. Of course, she would find out about this, but it wasn't what she thought. "Who told you that? I'm going to take a leap of faith and assume that it was the gossiping loud mouth, Ophelia." He rolled his eyes.
  20.
  21. "No, it was my sister and she told me rightfully so."
  22.
  23. "Oh great, the biggest loudmouth there is. You should consider investing in a muzzle for her." His eyes widened a bit, glancing away from her. "I didn't even go out with the girl, I don't even know her name. I met her at the bar."
  24.
  25. "So do you bring all the girls that you meet at bars home? Saskia saw that too."
  26.
  27. "What the hell is she? A spy drone?" Dante exhaled in vexation. Without uttering another word, he wrapped his fingers around Anastasia's wrist, clutching onto it tightly. Leading her into the kitchen, he stopped in front of the walk-in pantry which stored a secret that would explain exactly what he had done with the girl from the bar. He was hoping that this would be enough to prove to Anastasia that no one else ever came close to grasping his attention the way that she had. She was a stubborn one and he knew that for a fact. Releasing his hold on her allowed him to open the pantry door with ease. Inside was a petite blonde strewn across a haul of alcohol. Half of her neck was chewed out, leaving a gaping hole to where she was almost dismembered. One wrong movement of the corpse and her head would certainly roll. Although Ana felt like an ass for not trusting him more, she would never come right out and admit that. How could she when she still had reason to be pissed at him?
  28.
  29. "Well, this still doesn't change the fact that you're a liar. You tell me that you feel one way about me and then show me otherwise." She folded her arms across her chest.
  30.
  31. He found it comical that she couldn't own up to being wrong, yet here she was being wrong about something again. The way he felt about her. He may have been a liar to some, but one thing he has never lied about was how much he loved her. It was like a slap to the face for her to consider it any other way. "The way I feel about you and everything I've told you, it remains true, Ana. I am in love with you and even now it's killing me to be away from you!"
  32.
  33. "Then why are you doing it? Why do you keep pulling away from me if it hurts you so much?!"
  34.
  35. "BECAUSE I'M NOT GOOD FOR YOU, ANA!!" Dante dragged his hand across the kitchen counter with brute force, sending the iron rack filled with porcelain dishes flying across the room. "Why won't you just let me go? It never ends well. Not for us. Do yourself a favor and move on. Be happy with someone that won't hurt you!"
  36.
  37. "I can't. I won't. I'm not giving up on you, Dante. If I let you go then it'll be like I'm losing the biggest piece of my heart. I can't- I can't do that. Please don't ask me to do that, because each time I will always choose you. It will always be you."
  38.
  39. It was like a shouting match between the two before their eyes locked upon one another. Leisurely, the animosity that filled the room began to dissipate until there was only warmth and tenderness that filled the area. Dante's facial features softened for her, his fingers wiggling as he tried to hold himself back from rushing over to hold her; but he couldn't hold back. He was only prolonging the inevitable. Why waste time when all he'd ever wanted, all he'd ever needed was right in front of him? Phasing over to her in the blink of an eye, crystalline optics stared into her darker ones and he meshed his lips against hers. Tender pouts collided like a whirlwind, dancing savagely amongst each other as the tips of their tongues slipped from their mouths daring to meet. He backed her away slowly, slamming her against the kitchen counter as the tips of wintry fingers slid down her waist and to her outer thigh. For once, he wasn't going to allow the thoughts of 'what if' to consume him. He was going to take his chances and God forbid anything or anyone that tried to get in the way of that.
