Andreas Blackwood:
A traveling sorcerer, walking the country in search of problems his magical knowledge might be able to solve. Michael meets him at the tail-end of his homeless days, eventually becoming his apprentice and learning many key fundamentals of magic from him while helping him with the many errands he took on.
-First Meeting: April 13, 1983
-Age at First Meeting: 43
-Status: Alive. Andreas parted ways with Michael in 1989, the latter choosing to make an attempt to get his living situation in order as well as further his study in magic. Blackwood has long since retired, choosing to live quietly away from sprawling cities and the chaos of metropolitan life. Michael irregularly sends him letters, occasionally visiting him in his home in Sonoma.

Roger Feldwinn
The former CMO of an alcohol distilling and distributing corporation who had to flee his country following a major scandal. Michael meets him during the three weeks in which he had to spend homeless after arriving in the U.S., learning a few important life and social skills as well as some facts about corporate structure and the upper-class way of living.
-First Meeting: July 17, 1979
-Age at First Meeting: 37
-Status: Alive. After parting ways with Michael some weeks later, Roger was able to successfully climb a new corporate ladder, becoming the CMO of a tobacco corporation and putting time and effort into ensuring that nothing like the scandal of his past will ever happen again. Though he has made dealings with criminal organizations in exchange for his protection, he has ultimately remained as genuine as he was when Michael first met him.

Tori Blaylock: Another drifting youth who ran from her parents' house following a history of abuse. Michael meets her three years after she had been hopping trains just like him, and ends up spending a year traveling with her that results in the first real relationship he'd ever had, but also brings him in contact with hard drugs for the first time.
-First Meeting: March 12, 1981.
-Status: Dead. On May 6th, 1982, Michael woke up to find that Tori had died from an overdose. It was one of many important events that shifted his entire perspective on life for the worse, and he has since been unable to properly form relationships on the level of the one he had with her.
