Story:
Dante had a sweet live. The third child, and first son, of a influential family in the banking business he grew up wanting nothing. And he was encouraged to enjoy it by his older sisters. But beside growing up into an sort-of-dick-ish teen, the sort who got a red sports wagon for passing his driving test, he also developed an interest in what his friends described as a 'nerd' hobby: computers.
That being said, he as sort of a dick there too, hacking classmates phones for...racy pictures, sending fake texts and embarrassing those he didn't like. Big Man on Campus meets Julian Assange.
Then came prom night and after...arranging their break-up, he managed to convince a girl from his school not only to go with him but to accompany him into the hotel suite above.
Safe to say, it didn't end well for her.
Panicking, Dante called his eldest sister, assuming the pills he and his fling had shared had done the deed.
Instead, Sabrina sat on the edge of the bed, gave the dead girl a shrug and explained the truth to him: She was a Succubus. He was an Incubus. And not the pills had killed the 'kine' but he had, feeding off he as was proper for them.
And so, she took him to their summer villa while she had the mess cleaned up to properly educate him on what it meant to be a true member of their family.
Come Fall, Dante started attending college, studying both economy and computer science to prepare for a job in the family company, embracing his Incubus heritage as he prowled among the kine.
Yes, he partied very hard, but he did study just as hard. In fact, he showed quite a bit of promise as a member of the White Court.
Or as his dad would put it: He looked more like a rival than the tool he wanted.
He couldn't have that.
So one day, Dante came out of a club, a hungry girl in his arm as he triggered the hacked motor-ignition at range so the car would be nicely warm when he was there.
It promptly blew up.
This had to be an accident, so he I. first relieved his shock in a side alley with the girl II. raced to his sisters to ask wtf this was about.
As he arrived at their office, though, he caught the tail-end of a discussion among them on how regrettable it was that their father had chosen to eliminate Dante instead of letting them 'discipline him' into a proper little brother. (Well, they were pretty clear about what they would have done to him).
Dante's world crashed down. And then was lit afire in rage.
Without confronting them, Dante left the building. He discarded his phone, his credits cards, everything. Let them think he was dead.
That way they wouldn't see it when he burned down the house around them.
