[18:50] The look that Ascalon gave Dario. It wasn't one of belief for the young man's words. In fact, that thousand yard stare as they gazed upon them seemed to only add credence that- Their head tilted towards Freya.

"Magic fish?"

Though, as he'd speak the man's eyes lit slightly with a simmering emerald color. Turning back to Dario, those glowing hues would shift from the man's feet to their head. Noting the injured mana-circuits. It wasn't all that hard to spot where his mana.. Or something's mana rushed through nodes unused to strain.

Much like someone who'd been hospitalized for months suddenly jumping up and sprinting. The nodes had torn and the network had became frayed. These types of injuries meant either someone had attempted to overload the network purposely or the young Dario was awaekening to his talents late in life.

"I don't care of the wound with-" As he'd started a speak a hand shot up to cover his mouth, wheezing coughs echoing about the square as the man dealt with his own injuries. "Nor what lies you cling... Your mana-network is in disarray."

[18:53] Freya Kriszta says, "Yes. I have a pet who is now a land-fish. He produces electricity."
[18:54] Ascalon Zanders says, "Impressive."
[18:55] Freya Kriszta says, "Thank you. Caught him myself."
[18:55] The non-magi nodded once at the question of a magic fish. When Ascalon evidently thinks to actually call Dario's bluff, his eyes turn aside, and he very slowly starts to make his way past the Zanders couple.

"I dunno what you mean- I'm gonna... Go fish."

He'd meander slowly by.

[18:55] Vedran says, "Dario."
[18:55] Vedran says, "Let 'em heal you-"
[18:56] Dario says, "Mnnh..."
[18:56] Vedran says, "'Least the belly wound- the mana was admittedly my own fault.."
[18:56] Vedran says, "Garrick- went a bit far."
[18:56] Dario shrinks away some as Vedran nears, on reflex. At being exposed, he only looks aside, quiet as a mouse.

[18:56] Ascalon Zanders says, "*..."
[18:57] Arlei Zanders exclaims, "--?!"
[18:57] Ascalon Zanders asks, "Do you want help lad?"
[18:57] Vedran whispers: Blah- an experiment to unlock Dario's mana, went a bit awry, then Garrick appeared ta' beat the magic into him.
[18:57] Arlei Zanders whispers: Thats. . typical of him
[18:57] Arlei Zanders says, "Oh, hey, Sima."
[18:57] Ascalon Zanders whispers: Is there anything to unlock?
[18:57] Sima Kang exclaims, "Hey!"
[18:57] Vedran whispers: Impaled Dario through the stomach... and we hope.
[18:58] Vedran whispers: Dario begged me ta' try and unlock his magic- both parents were magi.
[18:59] Dario's lure rattles as he comes to a stop, hesitantly looking back towards the Zanders. He shuffles uncomfortably, the damaged non-magi evidently stricken with a bout of sudden silence at being asked. For several moments, he glances past the twin sets of red hair warily.

[18:59] Freya Kriszta says, "I'll go find my fish to show you."
[18:59] Arlei Zanders whispers: --Hrrrgh
[18:59] Arlei Zanders whispers: I coulda just shocked his circuits into activatin'.
[18:59] Freya floats away.

[18:59] Vedran whispers: --That's what I attempted.
[18:59] Arlei Zanders says, "Seeya, Frey."
[18:59] Vedran whispers: 'Cept I sorta' fucked that one up..
[18:59] Arlei Zanders says, "Oh, hey, Prodie."
[19:00] Arlei Zanders says, "Oh, bye, Prodie."
[19:00] Arlei Zanders says, "Oh, typical, Prodie."
[19:00] Ascalon Zanders says, "..."
[19:00] Vedran whispers: Shouldn't last long.. the mana 'least.
[19:00] Arlei Zanders whispers: Bleh.
[19:00] Arlei Zanders says, "How've you been, Sima."
[19:01] Sima Kang says, "Well... It's been eventful."
[19:01] Ascalon Zanders says, "You both approach the mana-network like barbarians."
[19:01] Vedran says, "... Garrick was more bein' brutal then anything."
[19:01] Vedran says, "Then approaching the mana-networks."
[19:01] Dario quietly tries to slip away from the conversation happening in front of him, in broad daylight, hoping the rattle of his lure doesn't give him away.

[19:20] There was a faint glow to the Oscuri's dulled gaze as they looked upon Dario. They'd wonder for a moment what to do with the young man. It was clear the lad was in a lot of discomfort, clearly.

For a few moments the Zanders merely stood their taking slow, raspy breaths. A hand upon the head of his can, the other upon his rib-cage. Feeling the flesh rip and tear as he stood there. It wasn't a pleasant sensation before endorphins would have dulled the pain. Now? It felt like he was being flayed.

Perhaps that's why he'd not waste the time with conversation from this point forward. Nor with explanations, the dhampire beside him had attempted to activate his mana-network in the most brutish of ways. Not surprising, given his only recent introduction to the varied types of mana usage.

There was a faint hum of silvery light about the Oscuri as Dario attempted to slip away. As they turned they'd find themselves walking into a all to corpearl form of what appeared to be Ascalon. Though, older and less dulled from pain.

The ethereal guardian simply blocked the path! Though if one looked to Ascalon they'd see the faint shimmer of blue mana connecting the figure with him. Of course all Dario would see is a ghost.

However, he'd hear the thudding of a mithril spike stabbing into the stones of Levengard. The former Oscuri's feet stepping lightly as they covered the distance between the two of them.

From this position they could see Dario's network clearly, it seemed that the over-abundance of Vedran's mana hadn't quite had the effect he'd wanted. Rather than jump-start the man's mana it was over-taxing the lad's nodes. Stretching them to the point of bursting.

As he got closer the man twirled his cane pressed end of his cane against the man's chest. It'd send a jolt through the man though it wasn't something that brought pain. Rather it brought a sudden and intense feeling of exhaustion as the mana which had been coursing in the man's body was drained quickly.

The touch only happened for a few moments, with those dull eyes focused upon the youth. Watching the effect of the Null Stone upon the man. It'd theoretically drain out Vedran's mana and leave the youth's networks to himself.

There was a quick motion afterwards as the former Paladin reached out with their hand. Swiftly pressing their digits upon those nodes that had been most damaged. He couldn't do much for the damage, however, he could sent a soothing flow of his own mana into the lad's network.

Where before when he'd utilized his raw-reika to manipulate the circuits this time Ascalon sent a rush of soothing spiritual energy. Binding upon the lad's own mana and briefly connecting it to the lineage of the Zanders. It wasn't something that'd be unpleasant rather the opposite as the lad felt the rush of heroes long dead course through his circuits.

This would normally of had the same effect of Vedran's own attempt. Over-stretching the mana-nodes and causing harm, however, the circuitry-wizard was careful to only instill enough to fill the network so that those nodes didn't suddenly contract with Vedran's mana dispelled.

Would this cause the boy to awaken to their magical potential? Probably not but at-least their network would be soothed. Much like putting ice upon a burn. Though, there was the smallest chance that the connection to the spirit realm would connect the youth to their own ancestors. Perhaps it'd give them some guidance.

[19:46] Dario, while slipping away, instead encounters some ethereal projection of Ascalon. He turned, to face where the actual Oscuri was, shutting his eyes and bracing his jaw in preparation of another beating, muttering through grit teeth.

"Not again..."

He stands there, anxious of the sharp strike of metal against stone, but the strike he anticipates never comes. Instead, Dario is pulled forth lightly, and imbued with the deeply queasy sensation of something being pressed near his burnt punctures.

A wave of lethargy overcomes him- So much for fishing. The utter loss of any motivating force in his bones causes Dario to buckle, supporting himself on his hands as he catches his breath, feeling an awful lot like a nap right now. Yet, that as well would even prove difficult, as Dario is assailed with feverish visions of lives other than his, bathed in silvery blue light that steadily mends the internal damage.

When he musters the energy again, Dario woozily rises, holding his head, swaying either way.

"Ughhh� What- Huh...?"

He looks cluelessly up at Ascalon.

[19:46] Dario asks, "What'd ya do...?"
[19:47] Ascalon Zanders says, "Purged Vedran's mana, applied a balm to your network, and perhaps granted you a string to follow in your goal."
[19:47] Dario says, "I feel like- Kinda like I just got pushed through a tube..."
[19:48] Ascalon Zanders asks, "Hmm, care to describe that feeling more?"
[19:48] Dario exclaims, "...Urf. Never mind, now my... Ow...! My chest hurts...!"
[19:48] Dario exclaims, "Gugh, I'm kinda feelin' a lot right now...!"
[19:48] Sima Kang whispers something.
[19:49] Ascalon Zanders says, "Hmm, don't care to much about the flesh wound. Walk it off."
[19:49] Vedran asks, "As it been?"
[19:50] Vedran whispers something.
[19:50] Dario exclaims, "It's like- Ow... I dunno- My head's spinnin', my chest feels... Really hot...! I kinda feel like I'm burnin' up, actually!"
[19:50] Dario exclaims, "Oh, man, why's it so HOT...?!"
[19:50] Sima Kang whispers something.
[19:51] Ascalon idly took a few notes of this reaction.

[19:51] Ascalon Zanders says, "Do you feel sick? Feverish from the sounds of it."
[19:51] Dario exclaims, "It's like- It feels like I'm breathin' lightning!"
[19:52] Sima Kang says, "Sounds pretty wild, honestly."
[19:52] Dario exclaims, "Everything's so bright...!"
[19:53] Dario says, "Ugh... I think- I'm gonna put today's fishin' on hold..."
[19:53] Arlei Zanders says, "Good idea."
[19:53] Ascalon Zanders says, "Go lay down, rest and then if you're still feeling this way seek me out once again."
[19:54] Arlei Zanders exclaims, "Yepyep!"
[19:54] Ascalon Zanders whispers: Whenever you're ready love.
[19:54] Dario had opted to shield his eyes a moment, rubbing at his chest. That he suddenly felt compelled to find a way to grasp and rip the heat out from inside his chest was concerning, as he had no means of effectively doing so.

"Ergh� Okay, yeah! Ah, man, I think... I feel like I could run a mile- Ten! Ow, man, my chest hurts so much...!"
