  87. ----------------------------------------
  88.
  89. For the configuration of the mods listed above you will need
  90.

  92.
  93. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42507
  94.
  95. ----------------------------------------
  96.
  97. In order to get all this mods to work you also need New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE)
  98.
  99. http://nvse.silverlock.org/
  100.
  101. ----------------------------------------
  102.
  103. To prevent a lot of crashes, if you have over 4gb of ram, you're in luck. This launcher here allows you to launch the game and use 4gb or RAM instead of only 2 as the game sets you.
  104. There is a version compatible with NVSE.
  105.
  106. Non NVSE: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35262
  107.
  108. NVSE compatible: http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/fnv4gb_nvse.zip
  109.
  110. If you want PN and most of the mods I posted to work as intended, you must use the NVSE compatible version.
  111. Make sure to extract the program into the NV root folder. And then create a shortcut to your desktop, if you move the .exe it will not work.
  112.
  113.
  114. ----------------------------------------
  115.
  116. AND FINALLY, for the astonishing grafix, use the ENB injector for Fallout: New Vegas.
  117.
  118. First of all what an ENB is (for those who don't know yet).
  119. An ENB is an advanced shader injector, that changes the looks of the game. It does not modify textures or models, but instead puts curtains of visuals over them. That makes them look more crisp, vivid and good.
  120. Each layer, like bloom, SSAO, lens flare, etc work at a time and change the whole looks of the game.
  121. It can be tweaked as you please through modifying the enbseries.ini file with the wordpad.
  122.
  123. It mainly adds DOF, SSAO, FXAA and better lighting.
  124.
  125. To install all you have to do is put the files into your data and root folder of NV. Then it will apply automatically as you start the game, clue of that is the enb info that will appear at the top left of your screen at startup.
  126.
  127.
  128. http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=923
  129.
  130. (Warning, this is still in beta phase, I've met many bugs. Expect them. Also, this ENB is not supposed to work with AMD cards, but I do have an AMD card and make it work, HD 7850 overclock).
  131.
  132. To make the ENB work with AMD cards you will have to open the enbseries.ini file and modify the line "ForceNvidiaCard" from "false" to "true". ONLY DO THIS IF THE ENB DOESN'T WORK WITHOUT THE LINE CHANGED.
  133. This ENB is a performance killer, and unless you have a good machine it's not recommended to have it.
  134.
  135. And that's about it. I of course use a lot more mods, some of them like NMC Hi res textures and other replacers that improve the overall look of the game. With this mods above you're set for some time of good fun.
  136. If you have any questions feel free to contact me on steam. (id on the email field).
  137.
  138. Ok listen up. To anybody that downloads the updated ENB. This one may cause more trouble with AMD cards. As I just found and fixed myself.
  139.
  140. You'll have to delete the rendererinfo.ini file from your preference folder. Where your savegames and preferences are.
  141.
  142. Then when you update the ENB you'll have to change the forceNvidiaCard line to true once again.
  143.
  144. And, since this new version adds DoF and SSAO, the best idea is to disable them as DoF causes a huge performance hit (I've just had a 30 frame loss !!) and SSAO is still buggy (your gun becomes semi transparent and you can see through it.)
  145.
  146.
  147. Just set the lines EnableDepthOfField=false
  148. EnableAmbientOcclusion=false to this and you should be set.
  149.
  150. The new ENB then works like a charm and even better than before. I've noticed an FPS gain. Sadly, there is still no AA support, so take that in mind.
  151.
  152. I'll put this on the pastebin too.
  153.
  154. >>>>>>>>>> NEW <<<<<<<<<<
  155.
  156. I uploaded my own enb preset.
  157. You can get it here.
