- These instructions are pretty straightforward.
- Note: For the application_authencation field, DO NOT USE YOUR GMAIL PASSWORD. You need to setup an app password for that to work.
- To setup an app password...
- 1. Go to myaccount.google.com/security
- 2. Look for the section "2-Step Verification"
- 3. Setup 2-Step Verification
- 4. After you setup two step verification, this link should work for you: "myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/two-step-verification".
- 5. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click the button that says "App Passwords". (Click little arrow next to it)
- 6. Type in the app name you want to set it up for (any name).
- 7. COPY DOWN THE APP PASSWORD. GOOGLE WILL NOT SHOW IT TO YOU EVER AGAIN AFTER YOU CLICK "DONE".
- 8. Use your app password in the application_authencation field instead of your actual Google password.
