  1. The /hsg/ Tournament follows a tried-and-true format built through experimentation from your humble host and much yelling from Lear.
  2.
  3. >Format
  4. Standard Format
  5. Single-Elimination Bracket
  6. Best of 5, Conquest
  7. Each competitor brings four decks of unique classes and bans one opponent class for use in their series
  8. Competitors may NOT change the cards in their decks mid-tournament, nor change their lineup of classes
  9.
  10. >Date & Time
  11. Sign-ups are open from Thursday, June 21st until Sunday, June 30th
  12. **Please note that you are not going to be considered "signed-up" until you add AxolotlAndy#1798 on Bnet**
  13. The EU Region Tournament runs from July 6th - 8th, with each day starting at 5pm London Time
  14. The NA Region Tournament runs from July 13th - 15th, with each day starting at 5pm EST
  15. Six series will be streamed each day, for an estimated finish time of 9:30pm London/EST for EU & NA respectively
  16. Most matches will occur off-stream for time purposes, however all but one Top 8 series will be streamed. If you want to be seen, be good. Which series to stream will be determined at random. You play Hearthstone, you're used to that.
  17. The tournament will be streamed on the """official""" /hsg/ Tournament channel; twitch.tv/hsgtournament
  18.
  19. >Card Bans
  20. Each competitor is given a cardban for the tournament. This prevents any copies of the card being put into any deck for any player.
  21. Quests, Baku the Mooneater, and Genn Graymane cannot be banned due to their unique nature and potential of total archetype shutdown with their removal.
  22. You may choose to opt-out of your ban. This will add it to a pool of community bans that will be decided in the thread immediately following the completion of sign-ups.
  23.
  24. >Prizes
  25. First Place for both tournaments will receive a metal Hearthstone poster OR 30$ in Bnet money
  26. Second Place for both tournaments will receive either a Sylvanas Funko figure, a Hearthstone Stress ball, OR 10$ in Bnet money
  27. At the end of the tournament we will host a poll for "Best Memes". The winner will get first pick of two prizes; a signed mousepad from the Hearthstone pro community or the Hearthstone cookbook. Whatever prize is not claimed will be given to the 2nd-place "Best Memes" winner.
  28. Every competitor, despite their finish, can earn bragging rights in /hsg/ or endless ridicule from the general. Don't miss lethal.
  29.
  30. >Procedure
  31. Each competitor will be given a schedule of their matches for the following day. It is up to the competitor to show up on time for their series.
  32. Streamed matches will occur one after another until the completion of all scheduled series. There will be a 10-minute waiting period given for competitors to show up (read: message Andy) for their series.
  33. If a competitor does not show up after the 10-minute period, they are automatically disqualified. Do not sleep through your matches. In the event of both competitors being unavailable for their match, they will be moved to the unstreamed schedule and given a stern talking-to.
  34. Unstreamed matches will be monitored by one of the Tournament Helpers, who will report the score to the Streamer. Unstreamed matches are expected to be completed between the moment they're scheduled, and the completion of their respective day.
  35.
  36. >Formalities
  37. Please do not cheat by stream-sniping. We have an honor system that has held true for two years. Don't be the first one to abuse it. You will be mocked, ostracized, and made a meme of.
  38. We may be a bunch of rowdy anons who say "Jew" and "Brode" and "Hand-Holding", but we're not animals. Come with a sporting attitude so everyone can leave happy and our tournaments stay fun.
  39. That goes for those who flounder on-stage as well. Keep in mind that you are playing in front of angry anons who won't hesitate to mercilessly mock you at the first mistake. Know this risk and compete as best you can to avoid such ridicule.
