  1. <17:08:51> "Martyn Musick /t": ready?
  2. <17:09:02> "Owen Bliss": You're late.
  3. <17:09:16> "Martyn Musick": yea
  4. <17:09:16> "Owen Bliss": 9 mins and 49 secconds.
  5. <17:09:24> "Martyn Musick": and now im here
  6. <17:09:26> "Martyn Musick": waiting on you
  7. <17:10:02> "Owen Bliss": Okay. So I'll see you on 4/1/20 at 170.
  8. <17:10:09> "Martyn Musick": k
  9. <17:14:06> "Martyn Musick": I'll actually go ahead and cancel 01 and 02 as well, I'm not going to be bitched at for being 9 minutes late.
  10. *** End of chat history
  11. <17:15:53> "Owen Bliss": Okay. Our training policy clearly states that you must be on time to scheduled training sessions. As a mentor I personally extend the "on time" to 5 mins after the sessions scheduled start time. If you are not here at that point I mark the session as a no show. I'd like for you to not be upset with me for your lack of ability to let me know that you will not be here on time. It is the the instructors responsibility to contact students about their training session.
  12. <17:17:53> "Owen Bliss": *isn't the instructors responsiblity
  13. <17:20:03> "Martyn Musick": Please note on the cancelation that I was less than 9 minutes late.
  14. <17:20:08> "Martyn Musick": And also, is there a Mentor review form?
  15. <17:22:42> "Owen Bliss": No there is no mentor review form.
  16. <17:23:05> "Owen Bliss": Like I said. It is a part of our training policy to be on time. So I don't understand why you're so upset.
  17. <17:27:49> "Martyn Musick": It is also clearly states in our training policy that the mentor needs to come to lessons prepared. There have been numorus sessions where I tell you I'm ready then you move me in, and then you say something along the lines of "hold up while I get my stuff ready" or "let me see what we're doing today". Furthermore, the policy also states that the Mentors need to be punctual to sessions, or provide a two-hour notice if a cancelation is required. I recall a number of times where you were 10, 20 minutes late to a session that I scheduled, and also times where you just totally no showed yourself.
  18. <17:32:23> "Owen Bliss": Okay. I personally don't recall missing sessions with you. I have recenltey had personal / family emergenices pop up just before training sessions where I may have cancelled the session within less then a 2 hour period before a training session start time. None of our mentors are always 100% prepared for a session. Personally that's something I should do better. But it's deffinetly not something I do to delay a session or that causes delays to a session.
  19. <17:33:01> "Martyn Musick": Furthermore once again, I am a little irritated that you decide to "all of a sudden" enforce this policy. Yes, I see the policy clearly outlined, but then you as the mentor are here to further students. There have been times where I have been 5-10 minutes late, due to issues I could not control, and this was one of those instances. Never have you canceled a session because I've been less than 10 minutes late, every time you have stated something along the lines of "no worries, lets get rolling" and we move on per usual. So I am curious to ask, why enforce this policy so... suddenly?
  20. <17:34:26> "Owen Bliss": I'm done with this conversation. The other issue is that Nolan Danzinger wanted to be in attendance and he alerted me when I said it appears to be a no show that he was not feeling well. He did not give me permission to teach the session.
  21. <17:34:37> "Owen Bliss": <1801> "Owen Bliss": Looks like a no show.
  22. <180:32> "Nolan Danziger": i feel like i got the rona today so no complaints here
  23. <180:36> "Owen Bliss": Oof
  24. <180:40> "Owen Bliss": I'll mark as no show.
  25. <180:43> "Owen Bliss": Feel better
  26. <17:35:04> "Martyn Musick": I was unaware that Mentors required an Instructor approval to teach the session.. where is this policy noted?
  27. <17:35:28> "Owen Bliss": It's not. I asked if I was allowed to teach it since I lost my I1 and he said "Let me teach it, you watch."
  28. <17:36:00> "Owen Bliss": ** Today
  29. <16:10:17> "Owen Bliss": Hey, Martyn scheduled a major session with me tonight. Am I still able to teach major stuff now that I'm not an I1?
  30. <16:11:26> "Nolan Danziger": let me teach this session and you watch
  31. <16:11:58> "Nolan Danziger": what time is it at?
  32. <16:12:37> "Owen Bliss": It's at 5PM CST.
  33. <16:13:22> "Nolan Danziger": cool, major is a little different than teaching S3 in general because it can be taught the way that we want it to be done so i want to make sure we're on the same page
  34. <16:13:33> "Owen Bliss": Okay.
  35. <17:36:04> "Martyn Musick": Oh alright, so since he's teaching it and you are observing, shouldn't he make the decision to continue on with the session, since you're just watching?
  36. <17:36:27> "Owen Bliss": No. He clearly stated
  37. <17:36:39> "Owen Bliss": <1801> "Owen Bliss": Looks like a no show.
  38. <180:32> "Nolan Danziger": i feel like i got the rona today so no complaints here
  39. <180:36> "Owen Bliss": Oof
  40. <180:40> "Owen Bliss": I'll mark as no show.
  41. <180:43> "Owen Bliss": Feel better
  42. <17:36:52> "Owen Bliss": Im done with this conversation. If you have any complaints email ta@zfwartcc.net
  43. <17:36:54> "Owen Bliss": Sorry.
  44. <17:37:00> "Owen Bliss": But this is just disrespectful.
  45. <17:37:26> "Martyn Musick": I'll be sure to get in touch with the Training Administrator, as I feel disrespected as well.
  46. <17:37:33> "Owen Bliss": Okay.
  47. <17:37:45> "Martyn Musick": G'day.
