- author's note: this is a lot of awful stuff, that does happen in the real world, but: there are happy disabled people. we continue to exist, despite all the suffering and oppression forced on us, not despite our disability. suffering is a fact of life, and will always be for us disabled people. we live every day knowing some form of pain. i'm writing this book to possibly help change some of that.
- people need to know. and if writing and drawing cartoon characters helps get that message out there more easily, then i'll do that.
