- >Be Twilight.
- >It's been a day since you had Nonny's surprise party. You were just waking up.
- > Even though yesterday was her party, she still had to attend school.
- >You knew that she may be sad when she came home, the foals at her school were ruthless like that. But she had to attend
- anyways.
- >Some days you wondered if it would be better if you didn't transform Anon in the first place. Your mind would always
- yield different results
- >But at this point, changing her back was practically impossible, reversing age, removing memories and changing species to
- something you knew was easy and symptom-less if done correctly
- >But adding age, nonexistent memories, and transforming to a species you were unfamiliar with was exceptionally hard.
- >Anon didn't like you studying him.
- >Anyways, you had just finished your morning routine and were heading over to Nonny's room to wake her.
- >As soon as you reached her door, you could hear a loud audible groan come from her in her room.
- "Nonny?"
- >Opeining the door, you see her with her hooves around her head.
- >"Nonny...Are you okay?"
- >"My head hurts Mommy."
- >This was to be expected, eating too much of Pinkie Pie made cake could do that to pony as one could only eat so much
- sugar.
- "How bad does it hurt?"
- >You slowly rub her head in a comforting manner.
- >"Bad."
- >Maybe it was time to use the pain suppressant spell.
- "I guess you could stay home today...hold on"
- >Using your magic, you channel it to cut off the nerves causing her pain, along with a sleep-aid spell, since it was
- possible she didn't get much sleep.
- >You watch as she slowly drifts off to sleep. Right after you leave to make some tomato soup with cheese sandwiches.
- >It was the perfect thing during sickness.
- >You were sure she'd be alright and ready for school tomorrow.
- >But for now she needed somepony to help her get better.
- >It could only get better...right.
- >It has been a few day since Nonny's illness.
- >Ever since that suppression spell you casted on her she has been feeling better.
- >At the moment you were sitting with Rarity while having some herbal tea.
- >"...And I'm telling you. I was surprised she changed like that"
- "Well I already knew that it was going to come sooner or later"
- >Looking to a clock on a nearby wall, you see that it was about time to go pick up Nonny from school.
- >Switching back to Rarity she saw too that it was about time to go pick them up.
- >
- >A short trot through the town to the school later, you and Rarity came across the fillies and colts leaving the school
- either alone or with their parents.
- >Sweetie Belle was walking with her own sort of clique, also known as the CMC.
- >Nonny however was sitting next to Miss Cheerilee and talking with her.
- >She looked a shade or two darker green.
- "Ready to go honey?"
- >Miss Cheerilee spoke up before she could.
- >"Not yet Twilight, I'm afraid I have to tell you that Nonny here got sick in class today."
- >Again?
- >"During one our class presentations she outside and vomited."
- >The suppression spell didn't work?
- "Maybe she ate something?"
- >Miss Cheerilee shook her head.
- >"She didn't want to eat during our free time today."
- >Wow...That sick.
- "Then I guess we'll have to get you into a nice warm bath then"
- >You levitate her onto your back as you let her get off her hooves and rest, she seemed to shiver as she was on your.
- >Beginning the walk back home Nonny began to complain about her illness.
- >"M-Mommy, my head hurts again, a-and I feel cold"
- >Maybe a home visit from Doctor Horse would be good.
- >Anon originally never liked him...something about puns.
- >Arriving home you had Nonny wrapped up in a blanket while under another sleep-aid spell. You sat and waited next to her
- as sat patiently for Doctor Horse to arrive.
- >You slowly stroked her mane as the minutes seemed to tick by.
- >"Wake up Miss Twilight"
- >You suddenly stand back up from your sleep and look around.
- >It was Dr.Horse
- >"You called for me Twilight?"
- >Rubbing your eyes you get yourself back to conciseness .
- "Y-yes"
- >You use a spell to discontinue Nonny's sleep-aid spell, and nudge her a couple times to wake her.
- >"So what issues has she been having lately?"
- >Nonny didn't seem to want to wake, she stirred but refused to get up.
- "Well...Several days ago her head began to ache. But I fixed that with a simple suppression spell. But today she seemed to
- get only worse"
- >He pulled out several general medical instruments.
- >Doing the basics: Heart rate, Blood pressure, temperature, etc.
- >He uses his magic to analyze her body.
- >"It seems more like the flu, but with the way it looks I can't be sure."
- "So.. what do you recommend?"
- >He pulls out a brown colored bottle.
- >"Well... You could give her some of this medicine for the symptoms until I can get back to you with what is wrong"
- >It was better than her suffering through it.
- >
- >You let your daughter sleep until morning before waking her again.
- >Maybe it was a bad idea. when you went back into her room she seemed pale in appearance.
- "Nonny...Get up"
- >Her eyes fluttered slightly open.
- >She didn't say anything as you brought over the medicine.
- >Everything about her seemed weak: Her gaze, to color, even her clutch on Miss Hornet.
- >You pull out a spoon as you fill it with a red liquid from the bottle.
- >Levitating it over to her mouth, she opens and swallows it.
- >She winces slightly.
- >You hope it was the flu.
- >She just looked so miserable
- >After taking her liquid, she seemed for cheerful now and full of color.
- >Though she still felt a bit cold.
- >Right now, you were just sitting on the sidelines while she played with CMC in the castle.
- >It was nice to see her finally happy for once.
- >You wished the other students at her school would stop teasing her though.
- >Looking at them play, they were playing a game called extreme chef, where one pony would be the judge and the others
- would try and make something.
- >Nonny was judge.
- >It might be foolish and messy but you let them use the kitchen ingredients while observing them from afar.
- >"It's bucking raw!"
- >Nonny was pretending... at least you thought... that she was angry at Sweetie's cooking.
- >They'd be covered head to hoof in flour, sprinkles and other ingredients afterwards.
- >This would have need them to have a long two hour, bath.
- >Not a pretty sight.
- >In no time at all, it was nearly nine.
- >At this point you and her were eating finishing a bowl of overly sugared cereal.
- "It's time for bed honey, got brush up...I'll be there in a second"
- >She complied and ran up the stairs to the bathroom.
- >You took the dishes and dumped them in the sink to be cleaned later.
- >Looking at the medicine bottle next to it you read it's label.
- >It read 'Take once in the morning at once at night'
- >KNOCK KNOCK
- >Who could be here at this hour?
- >Walking over and opening the large set of double door you saw it was the mailmare Derpy.
- "What can I do for you Derpy?"
- >She handed you a letter.
- >"It's from Ponyville hospital, they wanted same-day delivery"
- >Just like that she flew off into the night, but not without bumping into a few light poles.
- >Closing the door, you looked at the letter and threw it on a near table.
- >You'd read it later.
- >You had to bring this medicine up to your daughter's room for the night.
- >Opening your daughter's door you saw that she was already snuggling into her bed with Miss Hornet for the night.
- >"Nonny...Honey, you still have some medicine to take"
- >She looked at you with a disgusted face.
- >"Do I have to? it tastes bad."
- "Yes you do. you want to stay well don't you?"
- >Nonny shifted uncomfortably
- >Using your magic you brought over a spoonful of medicine to her mouth.
- >Instead of choosing to argue further, she took the spoonful of medicine and cringed from the flavor it gave.
- >Glad she didn't refuse, you turned around to leave.
- >"Wait!"
- >You look back at her, she was reaching out to you while also trying to cover her face with the blanket.
- >"Could you.....Maybe....Sleep here tonight"
- >Was she having nightmares again?
- "Alright, Just let me deal with this one thing first"
- >She nodded as you left the room to go retrieve the letter from the hospital.
- >It still laid there on the table.
- >Grabbing it with your magic you turn back around to head back upstairs.
- >You ripped it open as you went up
- >After reading off the letter from Doctor Horse, you knew this was serious.
- >But then again, you have overreacted before.
- >And it was also a problem for future Twilight too.
- >Needless to say, you were tired.
- >Making your way back over to Nonny's room, you push open the door.
- >The room was already dark, you see your daughter already snuggling into the blankets, and cuddling Miss Hornet.
- >Walking softly into her room, you climb into the bed slowly.
- >Wrapping your hooves around her and bringing her close, you felt her small warm body.
- >It brought a smile to your face.
- >Was this what it felt like to be a mother?
- >You let your self drift off into a peaceful slumber.
- >This was nice.
- >You hoped it would stay this way.
- >
- >You wake to the sound of your own mental alarm clock going off.
- >Your hooves were still around Nonny, who was still peacefully asleep.
- >Maybe you could waste a couple hours by staying here.
- >But wasn't there an appointment today?
- >Ugh.
- >As much as you wanted to stay here, you couldn't.
- >Slightly shaking your daughter, you try to get her to rise.
- >Health was more important than comfort.
- >Walking down town with Nonny. You and her made your way to the hospital for her urgent appointment.
- >"Why do I have to go to the doctor's again Mommy?"
- >You didn't want to worry her.
- "Because it's important to see a doctor once in a while"
- >"But last time I was there it was all cold and sad there."
- >She was referencing the time after her attempted suicide.
- >You still cringed at the memory when you found her half-dead on the floor.
- >Making your way into the reception area with your daughter, she goes to sit down while you go see the receptionist.
- >"Name?"
- >She didn't even bother to look up from the paperwork she was doing.
- "Sparkle"
- >Looking up at you with shocked eyes, she probably felt as if she desecrated a god.
- >"T-Through those doors ma'am"
- >Her hoof shook as she pointed to the double doors.
- >You beckoned Nonny to follow, who was playing with a set a building blocks.
- >Both of you follow the receptionist to the office.
- >
- >Upon entering Doctor Horse's office, you see him and several other ponies hovering over pages of data sheets.
- >Doctor Horse looks up to see you.
- >"Ah! Twilight, thanks for coming quick."
- "So...what was it you needed"
- >"What I needed was...um...Nonny, do you think you could stand outside for a few minutes, the big ponies need to talk"
- >She looks at you and him irritated that she couldn't hear, but listens to him and goes out into the hallway.
- >He clears his throat.
- >"Now Twilight, me and my colleagues have spent hours into this to confirm this"
- "Confirm what?"
- >"Before I answer that, how did Nonny come to be?"
- >You might as well be honest.
- "I transformed her from another creature born in the Everefree forest"
- >Half-honest.
- >"And was your concentration completely at this spell?"
- "Yes."
- >"Was the spell well practiced?"
- "Yes."
- >"Was it done under emotional or mental stress?"
- "N-....Yes"
- >He looks at you grimly.
- >"Then....I'm afraid I have some news for you"
- "W-what is it?"
- >You were growing more anxious as the seconds ticked by.
- >"It seems that the magic you used on her may be returning"
- "How?"
- >"It seems that the spell you casted on her while under stress caused a boomerang effect where it returns back in full
- force"
- >You start to shake at the possibilities.
- >"Though this boomerang effect will happen at a slow pace, and has already started by the looks of it."
- "What will it happen to her?"
- >"Well... since the magic will return on it's own, but not have anypony to control and direct it. it will cause her body
- more harm than good."
- >What was going to happen to her?
- "So what spell or medicine does she need to fix this?"
- >He remains silent.
- "Doctor?"
- >"The spell is destabilizing Twilight Sparkle"
- >He says this in bleak yet dull tone.
- >"It will need energy to sustain itself, and it will steal it from her"
- >There has to be a spell to fix this.
- >"It will eventually cause her cells to die off and her organs to shutdown. She was lost since she was created"
- >Your breath catches in your throat.
- >There will be no tears, Nonny will ask what's wrong.
- "H-H-How lo-"
- >"How long.....Half a year.... at best"
- >You could do nothing but stare at the floor in shock and premature grief.
- >"You will need stronger medicine"
- "W-what?"
- >"That medicine I gave you yesterday, it can act as a light pain reliever. As they months go by her pain and symptoms will
- get worse"
- >This could only get better and better and worse and worse
- >"You can use simple over-the-counter medicine for the first few months. But after a while I'll have to give you some
- magically enhanced pain reliever"
- >Standing there silent, you could only look down in shock and try to think on your next course of action. But this was
- hard because your mind was already filling with grief induced depression.
- "A-a-and w-what do you recommend?"
- >You finally get the courage to look back at him but just barely.
- >"You being a mother, you should know this....But... if you had to ask me, spend everyday with her."
- >You wearily shake your head and leave his office.
- >You're shaking when outside of his office.
- >"What did he want mommy?"
- >Jerking your head towards your daughter, you see that she has been waiting patiently for you.
- >You can't bear to tell her what you were just told.
- "N-nothing... He just wanted me to make sure you ate right and did okay in school."
- >She only looked at you funnily
- "Hey Nonny. Do you wanna go out for some ice cream"
- >
- >Heading over to Sugarcube corner, you and Nonny reserved a table for you two to eat some deserts.
- >while you secretly sulked in your mind.
- >For your deserts, you had chocolate shake while Nonny had Mint.
- >The time you were there Nonny talked about school and her times with the CMC.
- >It only made it worse on you.
- >She talked about her future.
- >"...Then me and Scootaloo got the idea that we should start this support group for ponies who are hurt..."
- >It hurts for you to listen.
- >Should you plan out these months for her?
- >Should you tell somepony?
- >Celestia... she hasn't even seen your parents yet either.
- >You decide that you need to plan out these months out with her.
- >The months after her....end...would be the hardest for you to think about.
- >As she sipped her straw, her cheeks sucking inward as she tries to get as much of the shake as possible, you had to ask.
- "Nonny...You know that I love you, right?"
- >She stopped sipping to answer.
- >"Of course mommy, sometimes you can get angry at me, but I still know you love me"
- >Why did you ask. It only brought more pain.
- "And...do you love me?"
- >She wraps her small hooves as much as she car around you.
- >" I'll always love you Mommy...no matter what."
- >Slowly you wrap your hooves around her to return the embrace.
- >Was this how it felt to know you will never hear that again one day?
- >It's been one month since the diagnosis.
- >Today, while Nonny was at school, you invited your friends over to the castle to talk to them about it.
- >"So darling, why did you want us here today?"
- >This was hard to do.
- "I've been thinking on how to say this for a month now"
- >"About what sugarcube?"
- >You paused for a minute to collect your thoughts.
- "I'm sure you all remember how Nonny became what she is right?"
- >They all nodded and agreed.
- "Well....about a month ago she started getting sick"
- >"I remember how miserable she looked when I went to go pick up Sweetie Belle"
- "Yeah....anyways, I took her to see Doctor Horse the day after, I though it was going to be something simple like a cold
- or flu"
- >Dash is the next to speak up
- >"Where are you going with this Twilight?"
- >You ignored her as you continued on.
- "He told me somethings that were hard for me to hear..."
- >Your throat got tight as things went on.
- "The spell I had casted to create her...went wrong."
- >Rarity, being a unicorn, was especially confused at this.
- >"How? You seem like a capable alicorn Twilight, She doesn't seem to have any underlying issues"
- "You all remember how Anon was kind of a jerk right?"
- >They did. But they more or less still respected him.
- "On that day when Nonny came to be, I was frustrated at somethings Anon did in the past, and I thought of that as I casted
- the spell on him"
- >It was a high-level spell, so even Rarity was confused as to what the problem was.
- "So...If there are any impurities in the caster's state of mind it can cause....problems"
- >You took a breath before continuing
- "The magic used on her is coming back slowly"
- >Dash asked another question.
- "Soooo... She's a unicorn now?"
- >Looking at her grimly, you shake your head slightly.
- "and without anypony to control, or even able to control it...."
- >Rarity was the first to catch a gist of what was happening, her eyes going wide and placing a hoof over her own mouth in
- shock
- "It is and will continue to grow....unstable"
- >"So... what will happen?"
- >Tears start to form in the corners of your eyes, you stopped looking at your friends an continued to look at the table
- "They...they gave her half a year"
- >No questions had to be asked, as everyone knew what it meant.
- >"Mommy, I'm home"
- >The doors to the castle open, you gasp and quickly try to switch to stone face.
- >As she approaches, you put on a fake smile and looked at her as she came toward you will a gleeful smile.
- >Even though she wasn't in any visible pain, her psychical symptoms grew worse, even in just a month.
- >She grew slightly more pale than her normal color, Nonny didn't see it, but you could see she was dragging her hooves, as
- if tired.
- >There were other slight symptoms as well, but these were the most notable to you.
- "How was school today honey"
- >"It was awesome, today Miss Cheerilee gave me an A on today's math test"
- >She pulls out a paper to show you, assuming it was the paper.
- "That's wonderful...why...don't you go upstairs and play with Miss Hornet for a little bit okay?"
- >"Okay!"
- >How many more smiles would you witness from her before her last day on Equestria.
- >As soon as she left upstairs to go to her room, Fluttershy was the next one to ask a question
- >"Have you not told her yet?"
- >You turn around slowly to look at her. At this point tears were rolling down your cheeks.
- "Would you want to know when you'd die. I just want to see her happy and remember her as a happy cheery filly"
- >Your voice wavers as you talk.
- "Not as the innocent little filly I had drove to the point of suicide and depression with the pain I had caused her"
- >With these months ahead, you were going to make damn sure you could make her as happy as possible everyday
- >Till her very last.
- >It's been two months since the diagnosis.
- >For most of it, you'be been searching for a way to stop the magic from killer her.
- >Your attempts have made you little progress.
- >Besides searching for a cure, you've been with Nonny...a lot doing various things: playing, reading, or just being
- motherly toward her.
- >Sometimes you'd let her miss school.
- >Today, you and her were on a day long ride to Canterlot.
- >You remember she asked about that pancake restaurant there.
- >Not only that, but you were going to take her to meet your brother and sister-in-law.
- >"So why are they so far away?"
- "Because they're important ponies like me"
- >With the new month you've noticed she sometimes has to stop doing anything to catch her breath.
- >She now has bags under her eyes.
- >And also the tip of her mane seemed to be whitening.
- >"Like you?"
- >Giggling at the question, you respond
- "Sort of like me, but more important."
- >"Are you sure they'll..."
- >She pauses to catch her breath.
- >"...Like me?"
- "They're real nice ponies...besides if things get hairy I'll be next to you"
- >It would only be a few hours till you both arrived in Canterlot
- >"Will daddy be there too?"
- >This question catches you by surprise. She technically didn't have a father.
- "Uh....I don't know....I sent him a letter, but he didn't say anything back"
- >She replies in a somber tone
- >"Oh....Okay."
- "I-I'm sure he'll be there"
- >Please don't be sad.
- >"Sure..."
- >The therapy classes helped, but only so much.
- "We better get some sleep if you want to go get some pancakes tomorrow."
- >Immediately her mood picked up.
- >"Okay!"
- >She ran off the the sleeper car on the train.
- >You'd be there in a minute to go tuck her in.
- >It was just that sometimes you'd throw your self in a mental loop.
- >You were just stuck the thought of how life was going to be without her.
- >Things were worse spiritually. She'd die, and you would have to wait milleniums or even more to see her again when your
- day of reckoning came.
- >Celestia, it hurt you to think.
- >Be Nonny.
- >You and mommy have finally made it to the pancake restaurant.
- >The excitement of just being there had you practically bouncing off the walls.
- >Though you would have to wait a little bit since Twilight said that we had to wait for aunt Cadence and Uncle Shining.
- >So currently you and her were justing sitting at a booth while waiting for them to arrive.
- >She doesn't realize how hard it is for you to watch servers go by with trays full of pancakes, while you could only stare and drool.
- >Besides the pancakes, you noticed within the past few months after you started taking medicine, that Mommy has gotten more....motherly
- >It's not bad or anything, it's just it seems rushed or unnatural.
- >But you accepted her love either way.
- "I'm hungry Mommy."
- >"It'll only be a few more minutes honey."
- >Maybe a little walk around will calm your anxiety and hunger.
- >"There you are Twiley"
- >You turn in your seat to see a white unicorn and pink alicorn approach you two.
- >That must be them.
- >They look at you and Shining speaks up first.
- >"So is this the little fill-"
- >He stops abruptly and looks at you with a look of concern.
- >Why? Was your mane messed up, Did you look weird.
- >Be Twilight.
- >You left Nonny at the table for a minute after your brother pulled you away to ask away.
- >"Twiliy...Why does she seem more....pale, than the picture you sent us?"
- >This was not a time for such things, now was a time for happiness.
- "I'll....tell you later"
- >He looked like he wanted to press the matter even further, but didn't.
- >"O-Kay?"
- >You two returned to the table, where Cadance was striking up a conversation with Nonny.
- >"Really? That seems like a weird thing for Twilight to do to chocolate milk"
- "What are you two chatting about?"
- >Cadance looks at you shocked, her snout scrunching.
- >"N-Nothing"
- >Maybe that incident with tipping over milk was something you shouldn't of shared with her.
- "So lets eat shall we."
- >Be Nonny.
- >I front of you now, sat a large plate of pancakes topped with syrup, raspberries, blueberries, whipped cream, and cherries.
- >You didn't even give Twilight the chance to give the silverware before you dove head first into the delicious treat.
- >Coming back up, you had one full pancake hanging out of your mouth with sticky syrup covering your face.
- >Everypony laughed at your appearance, all you had was a gleeful smile on your face.
- >"Couldn't wait couldn't you?"
- >This was going to be a good day.
- >
- >Be Twilight.
- >After Nonny decided to cover her face in syrup. You, and your family decided to make a retreat to the Canterlot castle for a little downtime.
- >"So Nonny, how old are you?"
- >"five!"
- >She and Cadence were asking questions back and forth.
- >"Annnnd are you really a princess of love"
- >"Sure am"
- >Shining didn't really say anything though, he was still caught up in her appearance.
- >You'd deal with it later when you got to the castle.
- >It was best to keep your mind off the ordeal
- >Be Twilight
- >It's Been four months since the diagnosis.
- >You've watched Nonny be a happy little filly in almost every way possible.
- >from a bedtime story to her birthday party everything seemed okay on the outside.
- >While on the inside things were only getting worse.
- >They symptoms took a toll on her body, she was a ghostly white, her body ached her so much that near lethal grade painkillers was the only medicine enough to combat it.
- >Vomiting was a weekly thing for her, every time she asked why it was happening you always gave an excuse that she either pushed her self too hard or ate something bad.
- >You'd never tell her the truth.
- >You wanted her to be happy.
- >She had a hard time catching her breath sometimes, and she'd be so thin that she could be mistaken as a anorexic pony.
- >You still haven't touched the thought of what you'd do after she was gone.
- >Mostly because you found the urge to puke when thinking it.
- >Maybe you should take up drinking to cope?
- >Considering you always found yourself silently mourning in your room while she was at school.
- >You fucked up BAD.
- >Be Nonny.
- >Today on you way to school you held a poster in your mouth.
- >It was for a project on a family tree that Miss Cheerilee had assigned.
- >Why did she always look at you with a sad face.
- >You didn't know nor did you care, this was going to be the best family tree anypony has ever seen.
- >You thought it was so well done you even included Miss Hornet.
- >"Oh look it's the anorexic pony."
- >You stopped at the school steps to look at DT and her two pony posse
- >What a fucking cunt....You may or may have been around the Apple farm too much.
- >You just ignored her and continued to go place your poster by your desk for later.
- >She has been calling you anorexic lately, you weren't sure what the word meant and neither did you care enough to look it up in a dictionary.
- >Sticks and stones they say.
- >But yet she persisted as always.
- >"Careful Diamond Tiara, she might go emo on us and start cutting herself"
- >Karma would get them eventually.
- "What do you want Diamond Tiara"
- > You said in a irritated tone.
- >"Nothing, I just wanted your tips on your weight loss." she said this in a mocking tone.
- >Maybe if you teamed up with the CMC to fight her, maybe you could fear her away from bullying you?
- "Just go away."
- >You were meek at first when meeting her, but now you just didn't care about her.
- >The bell rang; time to start class.
- >You and all the students took their seats.
- >You'd get an A on this for sure.
- >"Today class we'll be presenting out family tree posters to the class."
- >The class all collaboratively groaned except you and a few others.
- >"Do I have any volunteers to go up first?"
- >You hoof was the first to go up. You were so excited you felt out of breath and a little lightheaded.
- >You time is now.
- >Standing up to present in front of the class, you brought up the poster and Miss Hornet with you.
- >The poster displayed family going from you at the top to your great great great great great grandparents.
- >Though there was one little line going from your name to a box dictated for Miss Hornet.
- >She was your family when nopony else was.
- "This is my Family tree here, as you see I have a lot of uncles and aunts...."
- >You must of been very nervous since your you felt a little dizzy. But you persisted onward.
- "It even goes all the way back as far as eight generations..."
- >Miss Cheerilee asks a question out of nowhere.
- >"Who's that next to your name on the poster?"
- >She was referencing Miss Hornet.
- >Placing her on your head you explain.
- "This is Miss Hornet, some of you have already met her. The reason why she is on there is because...."
- >Wow you were really out of breath, maybe if you sat down your nerves would calm themselves.
- "...Because she was once what I considered a family after I felt so alone for some time and...."
- >As you tried to catch your breath DT spoke up.
- >"See, what'd I tell you? She is such a lonely freak"
- >You swore you could hear Miss Cheerilee scold them on the comment, but you could only focus on the rising pain in your chest.
- >By this point you were taking lagres gasps for breath.
- >"Nonny...are you okay?"
- "Y-Yeah....I'm just....."
- >You couldn't help but begin to clutch your chest, It was hurting pretty bad at this point.
- >Why were there black spots in your vision?
- >"Let me go find some hel-"
- >The last few words were muffled out as you collapsed to the ground out of sheer exhaustion.
- >Even if you didn't want to sleep, you didn't have a choice as unconsciousness took you by guerrilla warfare.
- >All you could hear was your rapid breathing.
- >Maybe it wasn't nervousness that did this.
- >Be Twilight
- >You managed to pull yourself out of your depressed rage from your dilemma.
- >Right now you were reading Starswirl's journal for the third time in two months.
- >You needed to relax, you needed to cope.
- >You were doing everything you could to be the best.
- >"Twilight?" There was a voice outside.
- >Near the front door it sounded like. It was accompanied by several knock at the door.
- >Standing up you made your way to the front door of the castle.
- >Still not used to it. it wasn't like your comfy treehouse.
- >"Twilight, I need to talk to you immediately "
- >You open to door to reveal a Miss Cheerilee who looked as if she was about to pass out from panic.
- >Sort of like you.
- "What's wrong Cheerilee"
- >"It's about your daughter."
- "Why? What's going o-"
- >You understood and you two began a mad dash over to the hospital.
- >Why so soon? She still had a few more months.
- >The stress was easily creeping it's way back into your system.
- >
- >Cheerilee and you burst through the doors of the emergency room.
- >She waits behind while you hastily make your way to the desk.
- "Is my daughter here!"
- >She looks at you somberly.
- >"So she's yours then?"
- >Be Twilight.
- >You've been waiting by Nonny's bedside for over an hour hoping she'd wake up.
- >She still had two more months. Why did she start now?
- >For the time being, you spent time thinking about the wonderful things you did with her for the past couple of months.
- >Taking her to see Cadance, going out with her every week for ice cream, reading her to sleep.
- >Seeing her face on her birthday.
- >Then your imagination took over, what if she was your biological daughter.
- >What would your memories be: Seeing her drink a bottle of milk, you comforting as she cries after scraping herself, singing her to sleep with a lullaby.
- >Nonny began to stir and moan, this immediately catches your attention.
- "Nonny?"
- >She barely opens her eyes as she looks at you.
- >"Why am I home Mommy?"
- >The last thing you wanted was her to worry. so you used a simple illusion spell to disguise the room.
- "Miss Cheerilee said you had a fever today, so I'll take care of you"
- >It seemed like the smallest touch could hurt her now.
- >"Where's Miss Hornet?"
- >You levitated her beloved toy to her waiting hooves.
- >"Mommy?"
- >You wanted her stay one more day with you.
- "Yes...Nonny"
- >"I'm tired"
- >Please don't say that.
- >Your breath quivered as you took a shaky breath.
- "Then go to sleep Nonny...I'll be here when you wake up"
- >Be Apple Bloom.
- >You and your friends sit in your school desks solemnly.
- >Waiting for school to start, while refusing to talk amongst each other.
- >It was needless to say you learned of Nonny's terminal condition that had plagued her for so long.
- >It would explain all those drastic changes she was going through.
- >You initially thought it was puberty or depression hitting her.
- >Guess not.
- >"All right class, after yesterday's incident we'll have to continue our presentations..."
- >Class has started already?
- >Maybe you were too lost in grief to notice.
- >"... But since Nonny is absent today, we'll have to go with somepony else today, so...."
- >"Of course she's not here today! She practically died of embarrassment. Who puts a doll on a family tree"
- >Diamond Tiara....Of course.
- >"Please Diamond, Keep your petty insults to yourself. She was simply too sick yesterday"
- "She actually did"
- >Your words come out softly, but just enough for the others to hear it.
- >"What did you say Apple Bloom?"
- >You look up to face from your desk to face Cheerilee.
- "She actually did"
- >Cheerilee was still more or less confused of to what you were referencing.
- >"Did what?"
- "S-She....Died"
- >Cheerliee's face turns into one of dissapointed anger.
- >"Now Apple Bloom, we don't make those kind of jokes in school"
- >You don't answer, you only look at her with your grief stricken face.
- >"Y-You're not kidding, are you?"
- >Once again, you don't answer.
- >Out of the corner of your eye you see Diamond's face turn into shock.
- >"O-Oh My...Class...you may have an early recess today...I need to think"
- >You...along with the rest of the class leave their desks to head outside.
- >Instead of screams of joy, come whispers of sadness.
- >As you head out, you look to the left to see Diamond Tiara still in her seat, laying her head on her hoof.
- >Thinking hard looks like it, a bit upset too.
