A new glitch was discovered in Densha De D: Lightning Stage today by complete accident.

If you merge into your opponent's lane and manage to derail one of your train cars, your opponent can get stuck inside of it, significantly reducing their speed, giving them no chance to win. This allows the player to multi-track wherever they want without their opponent stuck beside them. This allows the player to retain most of their speed through the course. This also skips the slowdown portions of the stage, which saves time.

Currently, this only works on Shingo and Ryosuke since you can immediately get in front of them. It is possible that this may work on Keisuke if you can get ahead of him after the hairpin corner, but this has yet to be tested. Nakazato is impossible since you never get a chance to pass.

Lordmau5 has crafted a setup for the Shingo battle. First, you switch lanes when your speedometer reaches 40. Once you reach 85, you brake until you reach 65-70, then accelerate again.
