dream log 79

t...this is kind of amazing. it's one of those firsts. i've been running to the airport, so many times, but i've never actually been in an airplane, not in a dream. (worry not, i am experienced with riding airplanes)

okay, okay. it's still amazing to me, even if it wasn't my first time riding an airplane in a dream.

because me and about five, six other people i know, we built our own airplane. it's a goddamn passenger jet, built for way more than just seven, with all the specs, everything, and we're riding first-class, all the way in the front but just behind the cockpit. there are HUGE windows right next to us, so we can see everything outside. there's even a kitchen in here, and an old-timey machine which dispenses comics. i saw some, but didn't have the chance to grab one.

so we're about to take off, right? i sit down in the right corner, close enough to the window but not that close, and i realize the airplane has three huge doors - entrances, i should say, that open in the same usual way as normal airplanes, except there's one right over us, kind of like a car, as big as maybe seven square feet.

two of said huge seven foot doors did not close. we're already taking off, in the air, and i'm yelling at them to close the dang doors, and they yell back, they close very slowly, and i look. they're right. the door on the left closes first, and then the top door, but it doesn't close before we hit a cloud and rain splashes me.

(crap is this even going to work, are we going to die in this jet we made ourselves, that would be such a bullshit way to--)

then we're finally in the air.

........and we fly down onto the ocean. the airplane lands with a plop, but we don't sink - it was designed to do that, apparently, like a hydroplane.

suddenly we're swimming outside, and there had been a huge inflatable raft behind us, tied to the plane, that was holding us up. we detach it, but i'm holding a balloon, and i have to tie it to something else. we spot a huge cruiser next to us, and i tie it to the back of their... what is the ship term? whatever?

now that we've gotten rid of all the weights, we're back onto the airplane again.

but there's been a fight between one of the families that built the airplane. i find myself in their daughter's position, literally. i'm yelling about how i made this dinner before we splashed down, and now it's burnt, and i give it to... uh, myself. my POV changes again and i gratefully take what she made. the food is some rice, with a brown sauce poured over it, some vegetables in it, and it looks delicious.

i'm about to dig in, but i wake up.
