  1. Shortly after his rebirth, after Mara Jade was selected to be Darth Sidious's next apprentice, the Emperor saw a need to increase the power and reach of his Dark Side Adepts. A series of efforts to improve them was undertaken culminating in the Jeslax'raum Reforms.
  2.
  3. Named for an ancient Sith philosopher, the Jesraxlaum reforms call for a five step hierarchy for the Sith. At the top is of course yourself, a Master to embody power and an Apprentice, to crave it. This is standard to the Rule of Two. Beneath this however, there are three levels of dark side users:
  4.
  5. The Shadow Mages, an expansion and growth of the Byss Mages you have developed. Led by Archmage Sly Moore, they are scholars, philosophers, prophets, and alchemists, leading the development of dark side prophecy and experiments.
  6.
  7. The Blackguard are the growth of the Dark Side Elite. Lightsaber wielding fanatics who are more enforcers than thinkers, they will be taught extensive lightsaber and force combat techniques. They follow the "school of Maul" and receive little training in actual Sith lore. They are led by Executor Sedriss, Darkest Knight, one of the Emperor's most trusted and capable Dark Jedi.
  8.
  9. The Inquisitorious are similar to their previous function in that their job is to hunt and to find Jedi and force-attuned people to gather for the Empire. Led by the Grand Inquisitor, there could be some functional overlap between the Blackguard and Inquisitorious, in practice the Inquisitorious would be of a higher caliber and less geared for warfare. They are led by Grand Inquisitor Vende Amenge.
  10.
  11. The Komissari, are an addition to the Reforms from Palpatine himself. It is a measure to incorporate Dark Siders into the military. The Komissari will eventually be integrated with the navy in general, and your officer corps specifically where they will act as the Emperor's eyes and ears, seeking out untrustworthy elements of your military. Led by Gwellib Ap-Llewff, the Emperor's Eye.
