- While sipping a snifter of rum abaft,
- a letter did strike me rather quite daft.
- Quilled violet script showing of wife's neat hand,
- with words to mak1e fast a sailor seek land.
- Though captains keep track of their binnacle,
- My wife's love I hold in first pinnacle.
- A Lizard of Knighthood with firebrand tongue,
- miracle it is that our hearts are wrung.
- But refrained from loving others am I,
- Only ever can the Great Drake make me sigh.
- For Finchy, the drunk sailor with such luck,
- To have a wonderful wife every day t(this next part appears to have been
- hastily inked over, with several offending paw prints)
- So finish will I this poem to you,
- with an oath: to love you as always due.

- P.S Squeakers found out and wanted to help with the poetry, I had to
- stop him though before he got me in trouble. He seems to really want to
- try for the line of Squeaker's dolls.
- Although the outer seal is broken, the signature seal remains.
- It is sealed with the arms of Finchy, but the seal has been opened.
