  1. -SELECTIONS FROM CREATURE CLASSIFICATION-
  2. **AKA is meta information pertaining to the quest itself. Refers to colloquial names that are used more often than the syntax.**
  3.
  4. Fulvis Khrysómallon - Gold-and-blue lamb of incredible power. [...] Marked by striped horns and great skill with Lightning. Invaluable to humanity.
  5.
  6. Iniscis Rebrectus - Extremely common and harmless red fish known for its incredible jumping abilities. Invasive to the Sacramento River, never dangerous in any other context. Almost unlike other neofauna in that it seems thoroughly useless. Akin to standard red snapper, carp, goldfish? (unaware of differences.) Long whiskers on both sides of the mouth that do not seem to be real hair; more akin to flagellum.
  7.
  8. Pinnascis Carbunculus - Common and very aggressive red-striped fish with green and black scales. Has an enormous jaw able to bite through rocks. [...] Avoid.
  9.
  10. Celerreus Infestidex - Incredibly dangerous [...] Untouched by bullets, aggressive, extremely fast and equipped with weapons sharper than one can fathom. Had Mary not rescued me from one's clutches, my corpse would reside in Shenanigan's Gulch. [...] Seem to be rare outside of Northern California? Cannot find them on flatter terrain.
  11. **AKA: Star(s) of Death**
  12.
  13. Obscurnus Catulus - A small creature [...] not unlike a scruffy dog or other wild canine. Grey with black boots and a red nose. [...] Treat like coyote, feral dog. Can be tamed.
  14.
  15. Obscurnus Validanis - Very dangerous and seemingly aggressive. [...] Unsure of relation to Obscurnus Catulus, but [...] most certainly exists. Lighter coloration, longer fur, MUCH larger size.
  16.
  17. Vultegens Silensenus - Black and red fox kits able to mimic their imagination perfectly. Able to learn human language and blend into society [...] caution around their illusionary abilities. Previously thought to be only mischievous, yet I've now heard testimonies otherwise and seen their possible aggression myself. Keep away from Khrysómallon.
  18.
  19. Duricatus Ferredens - Horrible nuisances to metalworkers. Devour steel other minerals with haste. Covered in iron armor and made of stone, though their eyes remain fleshy [...] invulnerable to bullets, most attacks. Not aggressive unless provoked.
  20. **AKA: Metal-eaters, "strange rhinos"**
  21.
  22. Plantacerta Bulbus - Docile frog-like lizard with a bulb upon its back. Bulb has never been observed to grow, react to stimulus. Lizard is placid and nonthreatening and enjoys pet comforts (scratches behind the ear, upon the stomach). Not sure if this is an entire species. I have only ever seen one specimen.
  23.
  24. Canilus Pellastrum - Strange orange terrier with star-shaped fur on the face [...] docile as a rule with bristly fur. Very sensitive and cowardly. No relation to Obscurnus Catulus.
  25.
  26. Ancipisi Nulluscrura - Loud. Small. Very annoying. Tadpole-like that is native to creeks and shallower freshwater. Some sounds it makes hurt to listen to... however, I cannot determine the difference between them and its average chattering. Avoid.
  27.
  28. Vesterica Follare - Large caterpillar-like creature with the miraculous ability to spin silk from its mouth. Adorned in a small leafy collar and crowned with two yellow bumps on its head. Their purpose remains obscure to me. [...] fond of leaves, smaller bugs [...] no danger despite the size.
  29.
  30. Ravatus Durulati - Loud, mono-chrome starling that seems to mature into a larger form with curled head feathers. [...] Nuisances at best, unthreatening but annoying.
  31.
  32. Putista Postergens - Purple, overgrown skunk. Shown to decimate entire plants with simple sprays of its toxins. AVOID like the plague and evacuate any areas nearby it.
  33.
  34. Arborimus Imminulus - Twisted log. Floats. Screams like a child [...] red eyes, black smoke [...] possibly supernatural, AVOID.
  35.
  36. Resolana Monodens - Blue, puffy. One large nose that looks like a pig's. Only ever seen during nighttime [...] not particularly aggressive, but dangerous if provoked.
  37.
  38. Obnumen Turpicula - Little birds on the Sacramento. Yellow-billed but blue-feathered. Their quacks are squat and not like ducks' [...] have seen them spray water at each other for fun. Seem harmless, if strange.
  39. REVISION: I have been sprayed! Unsure if this is defense or play [...] easily scared.
  40.
  41. Feather-headed Eagle Chick - Scant information to classify with. Was observed battling a bald eagle to near-death. It seems to be just a chick, but is nearly the same size as a fully-grown eagle and evidently aggressive. Avoid.
  42.
  43. Contremisullus Fimesens - Extraordinarily sturdy donkey. Shown to carry two adult men and luggage simultaneously with little effort. [...] Ankles perpetually caked in fresh mud [...] docile disposition. A great candidate for human friendship.
  44. **AKA: Andrew's Donkey(s)**
  45.
  46. Conduces Vigilans - Small rat with hypnotic eyes. Appears to live exclusively in packs. Nervous and watchful. Having difficulties writing more as they tend to scatter upon sight of humans, other neofauna.
  47.
  48. Coccinatus Ferocinator - Large centipede with enormous front carapace. Poisonous with loud, grating screams. [...] seems aggressive, yet not towards humans [...] noted similarities to current specimen in review. Distantly related? Coccinatus Ferocinator is much smaller, differently-shaded, and "animalistic"... less like wheel
  49.
  50. Nymphaerens Rostrexpedes - Painful to name. Incredibly docile lilypad creatures vaguely resembling ducks. [...] almost friendly towards current party. No threat.
  51.
  52. Purple, poisonous bug - An absolutely bizarre bug [...] seems to be some kind of natural wheel. Accelerates and decelerates as transportation and seems absent of decorative features. Consists of an eye, chitin, and plenty of spikes. [...] Purple and red with lumps. Avoid.
  53.
  54. Ignubae Equuleus - A pony without a mane. Seems to have vents [...] hair is replaced by fire. Beige coat. Hooves are stronger than normal [...] stone-like. Dangerous.
