  1. >Eyes closed and making peace, you plummeted toward the earth after taking down the strange bird-scientist-clown-wind monster.
  2. >You had a good run. Fought some terrible creatures, beat up a midget, acted a hero.
  3. >You didn't feel like you had any regrets. Maybe not using that movie pass; you could've went and hung out with Natsuki, maybe kicked something off. She was pretty great.
  4. >Ah, well. No use worrying about it now; all that you had to do now was feel the wind whipping past you.
  5. >A few moments passed, and then you felt something grasp you. The wind shifted, from upwards, to a sort of diagonal, then just head on.
  6. >Fearing that you were somehow now in a tornado, you opened your eyes and found yourself gazing into a black abyss.
  7. >"Anon! Anon, are you okay?" You realized the black abyss you were gazing into was a visor, with two pink ovoids looking back at you.
  8. "Uh, yeah. Natsuki? Are you dead too?" You ask, unsure of how you were now being cradled in the small girl's arms.
  9. >"What? No! I mean, I hope not! I just caught your ass; you just pulled off some risky shit, you know that?"
  10. "Huh. Yeah, I guess I did. Where are the others?"
  11. >"I dropped them off to go find Dan's body while I saved you." She slowed to a halt, and finally sat you down on your feet.
  12. >You got up, and dusted yourself off. Looking down at yourself, you certainly seemed to be alive. Looking at your hands, you thought about what just happened.
  13. >A pink fist punched into your chest, knocking you to the ground and out of your thoughts.
  14. "Ah, fuck! Natsuki, what the fuck was that for?" You ask through the slight pain, staggering up.
  15. >"For worrying me, dickhead!" She shouts, before hushing down into a shaking voice. "What you did was really stupid. You could've died, and I wanted to be- I mean, go to the movies with you. How are we supposed to go to the movies if you're a fucking hole in the ground?" She stood in a pose that seemed to give off an aura of impatience, her arms folded across her chest.
  16. >You were struck for the second time; not physically, but emotionally.
  17. >You didn't realize she cared this much for you. You made your way over to her, and surprised her by wrapping your arms around her frame, her rigid skirt keeping you a small distance away.
  18. "Shit, Nat, I'm sorry. I didn't... there wasn't any other way, at least that I saw. I had to stop him, you saw what he was doing. And if it's any consolation, I was thinking of you while I was falling."
  19. >The pink writer shifted in your grasp, and looked up at you.
  20. >"Really?"
  21. "Really. I was thinking about how it would suck to not get to go to the movies with such a cute girl."
  22. >She snorted a little bit. At least, you thought she did. It sounded a bit blocked up.
  23. >"Jeez. Well, in that case, alright." You felt her own hands wrap around your back, pulling you closer to her. Her voice got slightly harsher. "But never do something that dumb again! And I get to pick the movie, and you've gotta come pick me up Monday after school!"
  24. "You got it." You chuckle as you move your hand behind her head, holding it close to your chest.
  25.
  26. >The weekend passed by without much of note. You discussed your movie plans with Natsuki over text, and talked with all of the girls about the previous encounter, but other than that you took it easy.
  27. >While you felt like gloating and showboating as a cool superhero, Monika advised against that, saying it'd be better to lay low and keep your identities separate.
  28. >You agreed, but seeing all the news about the events as well as pictures that you knew were so clearly you ate into you a bit.
  29. >Eating more into you, however, was the fact that school had ended a couple of hours earlier, and in an hour you were to arrive at Natsuki's house to take her to the movies.
  30. >This was a date, and not just any date. Your first date.
  31. >To say you were freaking out would be to sell it short. Maybe even shorter than your date.
  32. >Do you use breath spray? Mints? Are you gonna have to pay for the movie theater food? Like, the pass was unlimited, but was that for snacks or just movies? Should you dress casually, or really try to make a statement? What would you even talk about? Weebshit? But maybe she wants to talk about other stuff, would you even be prepared? How far do you go on a first date?
  33. >The thoughts sent you spinning, and before you knew it, you were getting texts from her asking if you were on the way.
  34. >Looking at the time, you realized you barely had done anything. Fuck.
  35. >You slipped into a decent button-up shirt and some jeans before heading out into the summer air.
  36. >Walking at a brisk pace, you respond to her questions with 'Yeah, I headed out about ten minutes ago.'
  37. >The perfect crime.
  38. >You show up to the address that she had given you. It's a pretty standard house, save for the lawn looking like it hadn't been mowed in weeks and the paint looking a bit worse for wear.
  39. >Grabbing your phone, you shoot another message to her, letting her know that you're outside.
  40. >A few moments later, your ears perk up to sound coming from the house.
  41. >A muffled man asking where someone thought they were going, a shrill voice exclaiming 'out with friends,' and then the door opening and closing as a small woman wearing a thin, long sleeve shirt alongside a red skirt stepped out into the sunlight, smiling as she saw you.
  42. >Accentuated by white shoes with black kitty cat stockings, Natsuki looked about forty times as cute as you remembered.
  43. >"Hey, Anon!" She said, skipping down the path to her house and to the sidewalk where you stood. "Ready to go?" She asked with a smile.
  44. "Uh, yeah." You take a second look at her, to which she questions you.
  45. >"You alright there?"
  46. "Yeah, it's just... damn, you're looking good, and I'm here looking like a bag of trash."
  47. >She raised an inquisitive eye, giggled, and blushed all in the course of about three seconds.
  48. >"You're dressed fine, ya dork. Besides, it's not like it matters anyway. You brought your belt, right?"
  49. "Yeah, always have it on me just in case. Why?"
  50. >"Well, we can't exactly walk in and use the passes dressed normally. We're supposed to lay low, and I'm sure that would give us away."
  51. "Oh, I guess you're right."
  52. >"Of course I am!" She smirks, as she turns the corner into an alley. Making sure no one is looking, the two of you take out your Fudeformers and click them as you strike your signature poses.
  53. >"Henshin!" You simultaneously said, slamming them into your journals.
  54. >"A C C L I M ! M A X ! ! !" "E X P R E S S !" They sung out harmoniously as gold and pink lights engulfed both of you.
  55. >She stretched, then stood in front of you, pointing to her smokestacks with her thumbs.
  56. >"Welp, grab on, or we're gonna be late!" She said, stretching out her legs and popping out her wheels.
  57. >With a quick "mhm" you did as she said, and wrapped your hands around the supports on her shoulders.
  58. >Pink wheels of energy popping out of your own feet, your makeshift vehicle rocketed forward!
  59. >Onto the street, where since there was no emergency, you slowed down and simply followed traffic laws.
  60. >Giving waves to anybody who spotted the two of you as you made your way to the theater, making small talk all the way.
  61. >And once you had arrived at the theater, you slowed to a stop before your wheels disappeared and her's retracted, leaving you on foot.
  62. >Entering the theater, the couple behind the counter exclaimed in excitement as you approached.
  63. >"Hey, it's our heroes!" The woman said.
  64. >"We saw you guys in the paper, it's good that you got the creep who made those clowns." The man continued.
  65. >"And now you're here to take us up on our offer, huh? Gotta kick back and unwind after the hero work?"
  66. "Right on the money!" You respond, as you and Natsuki take out your passes. "We're here to see... uh, what was it Na-Express?"
  67. >She shot you a look. One that if you could see through the blackness of her visor would convey how much of an idiot she thought you were for that slip-up.
  68. >"We'd like two seats for Super Sentai Aiairanger: Battle of the Ultimate Fates." She responds to the woman at the register, who punches the codes into her keypad.
  69. >Two tickets are printed, which she hands to you.
  70. >"There ya are! Need any refreshments?"
  71. >You think for a moment. Could you even eat in this suit? Taking the helmet off would kind of defeat the purpose. Your thoughts are interrupted.
  72. >"Yeah, I'll take a large Bipes and we'll share a large popcorn." She turns to you. "What do you want to drink, Acclim?"
  73. "Uh, a Sgt. Pepper, please."
  74. >The man gets to work and prepares your snackage before presenting them to you. Grabbing the tub of popped corn and your own drink, you thank them for the service and make your way to the theater.
  75. >Managing to get in well before anybody else, nobody really saw as the two of you took a seat in the back, hidden in the relative darkness.
  76. >She showed you how to just slightly open your visor, allowing for both a straw and popcorn to enter and find your mouth, showing surprise that you didn't know how to do that.
  77. >After a while, a few people entered the theater and sat in the row in front of you, but towards the other end of the aisle. Both of you gave them a wave and posed for a picture, before they sat down and chatted through the pre-movie previews.
  78. >The theater was pretty dead. The opening for this movie was a couple weeks ago, so you figured most people who wanted to see it already had.
  79. >The movie went on like any sentai movie. Crossover between this season of the show and the last, a bigger bad that for some reason won't relate to the main plot in any way, and some pretty cool fights. You leaned over and laughed with your date over a few jokes, and at one point she whispered that she thought your henshin poses were waaaaaaaaaaay cooler than the Aiairanger's, to which you agreed and giggled.
  80. >Once the two of you had devoured the buttery treat, you sat the bucket to the side for disposal later, and rested your arm on the armrest between you and her.
  81. >Paying attention to the movie, you almost didn't notice her arm on top of yours, her fingers tracing your own.
  82. >Looking down, you saw that not only was her hand on yours; her ungloved hand was on yours.
  83. >You were struck, but you knew what had to be done. You pulled your arm off of the rest, and degloved before locking arms with her and intertwining her own tiny hand in yours.
  84. >You looked at the tiny Writer to your left, and smiled. She was too interested in the movie, but by the squeeze she gave your hand you knew that she had wanted this too.
  85. >A flashy display of effects happened, and your attention was drawn back, but you didn't let go of her throughout the rest of the film.
  86.
  87. >Once the show was over, you left the theater, once again thanking the owners for their hospitality and giving them a photo op in front of the Aiairangers with your own poses.
  88. >Heading out into the parking lot, you got ready to grab onto her shoulders once again.
  89. >"Oh, uh, whoops. Looks like my sharing power is broken right now." The pink one sheepishly says.
  90. "No problem, I can fix it for you-" You start, bringing out your pen and reaching toward her.
  91. >"Nah, no need, I think it just needs to recharge."
  92. "Hmm."
  93. >"Yeah. So uh, just hop on and I'll give you a ride home!" She says, gesturing to her back.
  94. "If you say so." You weren't quite convinced, but whatever. You hop on and grab onto her smokestacks for support.
  95. >"Actually, An-Acclim, those are a bit shaky, I think. Here." She reached up and grabbed your hands, pulling them down and around her chest until you were basically hugging onto her. "There, now you should be good!"
  96. "Yeah?" You say, with a small snort.
  97. >"Yeah! Anyways, hold on!" She began her movement, and before long, you were dropped off down the block from your house.
  98. >You stood at her side on the sidewalk, before pulling her into a hug. She reciprocated it, and the two of you stood there for a moment.
  99. >Feeling that the time was right, you pulled away, and leaned forward, eyes closed and lips puckered.
  100. >...and donked right into her helmet with your own.
  101. >You were shook by the impact, opening your eyes as your date laughed and laughed.
  102. >"Anon, you fucking dork!" She continued to laugh, before you joined her. "I'll see ya in class tomorrow, alright?"
  103. "Yeah, yeah. Hey, uh, Expr..." You looked around, making sure no one was there. "Nat? I had a really great time tonight."
  104. >"I did too. We'll have to do this more often, I loved it."
  105. >Your heart fluttered.
  106. "For sure. Goodnight, Natsuki. I'll text ya."
  107. >"You better! Goodnight!" She backed up, and sped off toward her own home.
  108. >Finding a secluded spot, you transformed back and made the trek home before retiring to your bedroom.
  109. >You'd take a short nap, get up, do your school work, and then go back to sleep. But first, some social media!
  110. >You opened up Twatter, and scrolled through your feed. Something involving the Common Writers was blowing up.
  111. >Huh, a photo of two of you in public. Should just be you out on the sidewalk or something.
  112. >Nope. It's you in a theater, looking at Natsuki.
  113. >Holding hands during a particularly flashy scene, judging by the lights.
  114. >Fuck.
