Fable TLC Any% Lv 1 Spells Rules

1. No spending of Might experience - Physique, Health, and Toughness will remain at base level for the entirety of the run.

2. No spending of Skill experience - Speed, Accuracy, and Guile will remain at base level for the entirety of the run.

3. Minimal spending of Will experience - Spells OTHER THAN PHYICAL SHIELD may be learned, but not upgraded beyond base level. Magic Power will also remain at base level for the entirety of the run.

4. No using Elxirs of Life or Willmaster's Elixirs.

5. Glitches/exploits such as Summon Clip and Buy/Sell are permitted.

FAQ

Your definition of "No Upgrades" seems a tad misleading. How come you're allowed to buy spells other than Physical Shield when you're not upgrading anything else?
This is a valid point for anyone to bring up, as it's not a TRUE No Upgrades run. For the sake of the runner's sanity, and keeping the run reasonably speedy, Level 1 spells apart from Physical Shield are permitted. That and there is no way to skip the acquisition of Lightning during Guild Training. So what's a few more spells that we never TECHNICALLY "upgrade"?

You're going to die a lot in this run without Physical Shield, aren't you?
Hopefully not since you will want to try to always be in Berserk while in any combat situation because while in Berserk, you can't actually die. Resurrection Phials, of course, are recommended anyway.

Will you be getting the Solus Greatsword?
Yes I will. Berserk 1 is actually just enough to allow you to properly use Heavy Weapons, and this helps SIGNIFICANTLY throughout the 2nd half of the run.

Are Weapon Augments allowed?
Yes. The real restriction is no player upgrades, and some fights would be classified as cruel and unusual without them, such as the White Balverine.

Why will you not be killing the Guildmaster?
Because after some pretty thorough testing, Nostro proved to be quicker and much safer than the Guildmaster.

Is this a serious category?
It will be considered a miscellaneous category and can be found under miscellaneous categories at speedrun.com/tlc. Before it was simply the category of a race that was done by Etem_t, Giantsteps92, KJFreshly and myself in February of 2015.

Do you have a goal time in mind for this category?
After reaching an astonishing sub 1:50 mark, I'm not sure I have a goal in mind. Basically to just improve my time as much as I can, for the sake of answering the question.
