Background :Being born in the US, and living there for a good four years has really affected her family. Since they have come back to South Korea, they have been babying Cherry with their Korean morals and goals that they were unable to do for their oldest child, Chang Chae Ro. Because of this, the eldest has always had a grudge against her younger sibling. Being influenced by her American friends, she learns that it was normal for siblings to fight and push each other around. So as soon as Cherry hit 6 years old, Chaerose started bossing her around, starting fights and hitting her. And when their parents would find out, they would take Cherry’s side, saying that she wasn’t taught properly. This continued until Chaerose was 16 years old, where she accidentally broke her arm during ballet. Because of that, she had her parent’s full attention. Their parents were on their eldest child’s every whim, wrapped around her pinky, as their youngest daughter was left alone and isolated. Cherry tried to care for her sister too, but every time Chaerose would lie that she was causing her more pain, getting her parents to ignore and abandon her altogether.
