An Imminent Assault

[22:41] Steps are slow, no words particularly escape him as he'd make his way over towards the blonde all the while-- in all honesty, perhaps he was simply directing the anger. It was a smaller thing-- and yet an excuse enough for Thalia to almost label him a traitor, and aim for execution.

And so when the Hirai's hand abruptly jerks upward, it merely latches onto Dan's collar-- he wouldn't say much else, and unless resisted otherwise, aim to somewhat slam the older magus against those fences there.

Scarlet lightning crackle by his side, and even if he could control it so by now, occultic presence ran riot.

"Why did you-- Why would you give Levengard that letter?"

The words escape with a bit of scowl, teeth clenched all the same.

"Me talking to Declan-- it mentioned me telling him shit, and- fuck. Fuck, that was enough for them to almost try and get me executed. Called me a fucking traitor to Agartha-- to our cause. Even after EVERYTHING I've done."

There's another, shorter pause, before he'd continue; words sharp as ever.

Directing his anger, for sure. It's evident as his grip remains so tight that it's shaking.

"Nobody gives a fuck-- Magdalen? Calael? Noel? Barely learned to walk and Thalia running her mouth over that shit, and-- god, fuck, Dan. Think before you give them crap."

[22:43] A mist descended as it coalesced into the form of a young figure.

He wished to speak to Elyon against the offensive measures that must taken against Briar. However, he seemed to have come at the wrong time. Thus, he only watched the commotion.

[22:46] Dogslayer stares down at Elyon. He'd latch onto his collar and slammed him into a fence; he was, all in all, incredibly confused.

"You ought to get your hands off of me, Elyon. We can talk when you're not so uncomfortably close to my face."

[22:50] Digits grip tighter for a moment there, and that scowl never particularly left his features before he'd finally let go, hand snapping back over to the side. Eyes drift to a close, and there's a longer, heavier inhale.

"Explain."

It's mumbled out, but voice was audible enough. Scarlet lightning still crackles.

"It was a goddamn letter claiming that I mentioned things to Lailah and Declan-- even if smaller things; you should know how Levengard is. Fuck's sake."

Another, slower pause, alongside the way his head shakes from one side to the other.

"Just don't give them things like that, holy shit. Even a tiny straw at someone they don't personally like, and they're going to attempt and stab."

[22:54] Dogslayer keeps staring down at Elyon.

"I gave them the letter to let Magdalen know how her daughter's doing. Nothing I read in it seemed incriminating towards you or anyone else. I figured it was well known that Declan isn't really a traitor. You're mentioned once, Elyon. A single time. In passing. Entirely unrelated to anything of importance in that letter."

He furrows his brow, trying to wrap his head around why Levengard would try and execute someone so obviously, blatantly innocent of any crime, real or imagined.

"You really mean to tell me that they tried to execute you over that?"

He looks down, arms crossed.

"You know, I really should've known. That entire city is untrustworthy. I should've guessed that a little fascist like Ilui would make something out of nothing."

He looks up.

"You have my sincerest apologies, Elyon. I'm a little too trusting of people allegedly fighting for the same thing the rest of us are."

[23:03] His gaze narrows for just a moment there. Silent, and he'd just stare as seconds tick by, but... ultimately, the Hirai just sighs. The letter did mention only the smallest of things regarding him... of no significant other than the implications of him being in contact with Lailah, yet...

"Don't fucking know why, but-- Thalia nearly did-- called me a traitor, and nobody else cared, or seemed to mind. Be it Magdalen, Noel, or... pretty much anyone. They literally ignored when she came at me with wings sprouted."

There's a smaller pause, and then he'd glance over to the side.

"Hypocrits."

It's... practically spat outward, and he knew he shouldn't be just blabbering stuffs in public, yet-- not that he cared, anymore. As scarlet lightning disappears into thin air, he'd merely stuff those hands into the coat's pockets, before making his way over to plop down by the fences.

"Whatever, fuck this."

Sour... would be one way to describe his mood.

[23:03] Saba Sugar says, "And now you know why I don't go anywhere near Levengard."

[23:03] Saba Sugar says, "With the exception of Ohtli's tower."
[23:04] A clap of hands is given, as the ever smiling Eshmun points at Dan, "Alright then! Now it's my turn to talk with you, Daniel, join me inside the temple. We're speaking." Though they said it in a usual friendly tone, their voice was bold and a bit forceful. Practically ordering the man to come alongside him.

Soon enough a finger then pointed at Saba, then to Tahl, "You two come with as well, alright?"

[23:05] Yu Heifang asks, "Elyon. More importantly, what's the present plan against Briar?"
[23:06] Yu Heifang says, "I came to offer my aid."
[23:07] Elyon Hirai whispers: We defend-- then we're striking back, pretty much.
[23:08] Yu Heifang whispers: And what of the Chieftains?
[23:08] Elyon Hirai whispers: What of them?
[23:08] Elyon Hirai whispers: They're letting me handle our assaults.
[23:08] Yu Heifang whispers: That's just what I asked.
[23:09] Yu Heifang whispers: And that's good. Are you really sure Briar will attack? Because if not, then isn't it better to take the offensive?
[23:09] Elyon Hirai whispers: They're attacking.
[23:09] Elyon Hirai whispers: Confirmed.

[23:14] Elyon Hirai whispers: A couple weeks, give or take.
[23:14] Mackenzie would watch as the group seemed to disperse. Then deciding to lift herself up and off of the bench. She'd made her way over to Elyon who was sitting on the ground next to the fence. Sitting next to him Indian style, her purple hues would look toward him with curiosity.

"...Well you're obviously not okay so I won't ask that,.." A smirk played on her features, but she would place a small gentle hand onto his shoulder.

"But I'm here to check on you anyway." The words were said emotionlessly, though it was already unusual enough for her to be checking up on anyone...And it had been a long while since she'd spoken with Elyon so..

[23:15] Yu Heifang whispers: And that's it? You have no plans on how to deal with Briar?
[23:15] Yu Heifang whispers: Just assault?
[23:16] Elyon Hirai whispers: We fucking attack after the defensive raid, Yu. We get rid of their towers at the swamp-- and then we demolish their main base. They lack numbers and a proper fort, so it won't take anything more drastic than a simple raid to completely shatter them.
[23:16] Elyon Hirai whispers: Force them back into Dawn-- and take over the territory, alongside the cavern resources.
[23:16] Elyon Hirai whispers: I've been /telling/ you. What else do you wanna hear?
[23:19] Still... rather sour, in all honesty. Though once the Oshikawa plops over to the side, he'd merely allow those ocean hues to briefly flicker in her direction all the while. No words escape just yet.

Eventually, a faint, little sigh finds its way out.

"Unless you have a better plan... feel free to suggest, just-- really fucked up day, sorry, Yu."

With that, he'd shift yet once again, words to follow directed towards the white haired girl.

"...shitty luck. Shitty days, and everything's going bad-- wouldn't be surprised if I return lacking a limb or two from this assault... though, hopefully things are going smoother on your side."

[23:22] "An all out assault. So, you'll take advantage of your numbers," he said, before shaking his head.

"And it's fine," said Yu, and left it at that. He knew the feeling of the rage. Of an occultist's wrath. Elyon wasn't even so bad.

"I'll come back again, and hopefully come in time. I'll continue aiding our forces in the north, take their villages piece by piece. The war has already reached the outskirt villages of Dusk. And I've no idea how goes here at south."

[23:27] "..Hey, losing a limb isn't as bad as death; right?"

The words were presented with a shrug, and she'd put her hands into her lap now. Looking around Elyon toward Yu, her purple hues examining the stranger with inquisitive eyes. Probably trying to decide if he was a threat or not, like she usually did.

Leaning back toward the fence and turning her attention back onto Elyon, her voice was softer. "As for my days, they've been...Interesting to say the least..." Her eyes flickered to the ground now, as if looking at him was taking too much effort on her part.

"I'm sorry things have been rough for you." She'd say, this time with a bit more of a sincere tone. "You wanna come have some tea?" The question came out curious now.

[23:29] Yu is indeed a threat. He looked back to Mackenzie, silver eyes deadly stoic and cold. It was the eye of a murderer, killer of innocent men. He turned away.

[23:32] "Pretty much, Yu. Our soldiers are in multiple thousands, theirs don't even match one-tenth of the numbers. Mere hundred or two... even if they're all strong mages-- we can overwhelm without an all-out siege."

A quick, effective sweep... should things go their way.

"I'll... see you later, then-- will keep you updated on how things go here. Visit if something happens by the northern front, okay?"

With that, he'd finally pull himself back up, ocean hues turned towards the Oshikawa now.

"...I'suppose. It's less painful if quicker, but--"

Pausing for just a moment, he'd sniffle ever so slightly, head shaking from one side to the other.

"Tea's okay. Lead on."
