  1. For my final project I wanted to keep my piece spontaneous and ever moving. I used the auto pan and echo effects across my piece to both have the audio cut in and out and pan for the listener. I found myself both using the simpler instrument as well as making edits to recorded clips I took myself. For the simpler instruments I hooked up my MIDI device to be able to both play notes and turn knobs for effects without having to go into automation for the tedious work of rerecording audio with effects cutting in and out. For the recorded samples I took, I tried to transform them into atmospheric pieces of audio compared to just being sounds used as notes. A couple of the recordings were just sounds I made in my mic with either stuff me or with my mouth. I found this to be a good way to get rid of being stuck at parts not knowing what to include in my project. I took influences from old video game synths and sounds to layer a retro sounding atmosphere throughout the piece. Finally the most interesting part of the overall process for me
