Samus Run 2

Alright. Samus had to back up to get her running start back. She wasn’t going to be stopped by words this time. When her boot hit the mud of the river’s bank she launched herself across it. By the time she landed on the other side, her momentum was like that of a cannonball, unstoppable by anything, least of all herself.

Her path curved until she was charging straight at the two monsters. The rhythmic thumping of her piston-like legs the only warning they would receive.

As she prepared to enter the cloud of powder, she took in as big a breath as she could and held it.

Her arms went low and she scooped Squirtle off the ground. Tucked under her arm, she kept going straight through the other one, launching it into the air when it could do nothing against her momentum. Once she made it out the other end of the cloud, only then did she make an effort to actually stop.

Samus left a track in the dirt, uprooting the grass and ending up about as deep as it was wide. The creature that was hit had landed on its bulb and had to roll over and shake its head clear. While it did that, Samus pulled Squirtle out and held him in front of her. He was still shaking off the effects of the powder, but seemed to be… somewhat cognizant.
