dura's story

Dura was not born to any particular notoriety, apart from the cautionary tales a Kal Azulan family with some strict codes and traditions in certain spheres fed her from birth to her departure from her homeland. She was not born to any nobility, to any promise of wealth or dreams - only the curse of a long gone alchemist and the whispers of the things she'd done wrong, warped by time and pure oral tradition to become more gruesome with each successive retelling.

Despite these warnings, Dura dreamed of more. She left her homeland to travel to Sarea and its newly minted Nera academy to gain knowledge to further her people's cause. Everything she did for Kal Azul, for its glory, its reconstruction and return to peace and unity after being fractured into so many tribes and fraught by bandits.
