- Karak Asa, The Orc
- ... With dark, glinting eyes that reflects light like obsidian, a body that stands tall like a tree or a mountain, wearing seemingly what consists of withered leaves and branch woven to cover his body, and skins of rough bark, covered in runes - an orcish written language that speaks of their history, war, and conflict.
- Be Brave, Take Risks.
- Tell Others of the Orcs
- Improve the World Around You
- Born Rebel
- Stats:
- x Blood +3
- Courage +1
- Grace +0
- Sense +2
- Wisdom -1
- What is an Orc? A miserable pile of WAR- erm, ahem.
- Sons of War: Orcs are the fallen branches of the forest, foams of the ocean, sawn off to protect the land itself. We were made by nature itself as a war machine, though eons of separation and knowing only war has twisted and warped us Orcs. We Orcs want to reclaim that old root we have with the nature, but we are not very smart. We know only how to make weapons and break things gud. As long as there's something in my reach that I can break, I can make it into a weapon using Fires of Industry, in the heat of battle.
- Orcish Core
- The Fire of Industry: Given a minute to break something, I can make an Orc-Made weapon of my own design. They are Clusmy to all but Orc's, and nobody else could look at them and think they are beautiful. The weapon is Melee (But see Orc Custom, The Sweat of Your Brow). Weapons that are made this way are not added to Gear - they are temporary and must be replaced if they are lost or damaged. I cannot carry more than 4 weapons I made at a single time, but I can restock them between scenes as I like.
- Dishonor Before Death: When you need an Advantage to Finish Them with in glorious combat, you can always create one by breaking your weapon. When you must pay a price, you may always choose to break your weapon.
- Heir Core (Received from Half-Orc)
- Yes, My Liege: When you issue a command to someone below your rank, they'll do it immediately, no questions asked. Someone is below your rank if they are of your People, if they are a Companion, or if they serve or follow someone who has shown you Royal Treatment (Does not apply for Karak). You never need to Talk Sense to someone who is below your rank.
- When you give a command that directly harms the person you gave the command to, they become immune to this move forever.
- The Legend Core:
- The Legend Begins: Evreyone has heard of Karak, all but the most hidden of hermits. Karak's autographs, such as they are, are Precious to people who respects him and don't already have it. When Karak gives someone something Precious, he can ask them a question from the Speak Softly list without rolling.
- Orc Custom:
- Self-Orctualized: I am more Orc than usual Orcs!
- The Sweat of Your Brow: When you create a weapon for yourself, you may choose an enhancement for the weapon from this list:
- - Destructive: Dangerous.
- - Foe-Smelling: The weapon burns to the touch when in presence of those who would mean me harm. To me, this heat is only a warning, but it will harm others who try to touch it.
- - Spiked: Piercing, Armor cannot be uesd against it
- The Heir Custom (Received from The Legend):
- - Parry, Counter, Thrust!: When you fight an enemy one on one in melee, you may Keep Them Busy as if you rolled a 10+.
- Level 6.
- Orcish Advancement:
- - Increase one of your stats by 1 (to a maximum of +3). (Blood)
- - Take another Orc Custom (Half-Orc, Heir: Yes, My Liege)
- - Share one of your Moves with another player. (Ragnar, Self-Orctualized)
- - Choose a single option from up to two other players' Gear lists(Your choices are added to your Gear permanently).
- Destiny: The Legend
- - Take a Custom Move of any basic playbook.

- Bonds:
- (2 more initial bonds with rest of the fellowship, to be determined once the fellowship gathers.)
- Remy's my party buddy, and anytime Remy wanna get a drink while we sit down with me, I'll gladly share some with.
- Me and Remy didn't look back at explosion as we walked away from an Overlord's Outpost.
- Having suffered a defeat at the hand of the Overlord together, Karak swears to take revenge for Remy's wounds and humiliation.
- Ragnar Snailwrangler, a snail expert, is my friend who also loves snail, an integral part of nature.
- Me and Ragnar didn't look back at explosion as we walked away from an Overlord's Outpost.
- (Unbreakable) I and Ragnar's race have exchanged a symbol of peace, and our bond can never be broken.
- Crunch was drowning in River Asa, and I fished her out. We've been buddies ever since.
- Crunch risked life to help me, of which I'll be really, really grateful for. She now eats jerky.
- Having went through thick and thin together against the Overlord, between pain and wounds, Crunch and I are inseperate allies and families.
- Recos, the Minotaur Sea-Captain, accepted my brooch of pearl (a brooch ornate with a set of freshwater pearl, arranged to seem like a constellation), right before we charge forward to face the Overlord together.
- A Patrol of the Overlord was defeated by me. I showed them mercy, and I wait patiently for them to change their ways.
- Karak has inspired the townsfolk of Clearvale, established new government, and trained their men for a brighter future.
- Karak forcibly won over the Winter Wolf's trust and companionship, with strength and treatment toward him as part of the group.

- =============================
- Background, and Reason for Fellowship:
- Orcs... Orcs are trees. Orcs are mountains. Orcs are the water the flows down the river and cleave the mountain in half and made its way down to the plains. Orcs are that... Or at least, we were supposed to be.
- We are a natural response to technological advancement, nature's fury - we are angry, angry about you cutting down too many trees, angry about you mining out the mountains, destroying homes of thousands of animals.
- We are really, really angry about the last time you emptied the latrine right into the river without thinking, too.
- It's ok to take advantage of nature - you are part of it, as far as we are concerned - but we don't like it when people destroy it for no good reason. So we are angry, and we go to war in our mother and father's name.
- And then we warred, and we warred, and we warred, and a lot of orcs forgot what it meant to protect the nature.
- I am the Orc's champion, Karak, of the Asa. Asa River was my hometown. The Overlord dumped something in the river, and poisoned it permanently.
- Orc want me to be their champion, because orc doesn't really think too well - we occasionally think what we are doing isn't any better than you, who destroys nature, but we really can't think that well.
- I am relatively good at thinking about those sort of things.
- I am relatively good at smashing things and making things into things that smash things.
- I am just relatively better than other Orcs - Stronger, Smarter, Thinks about things more. I am not content about the Orc being just the Orcs that we are - we can do better as Orcs.
- And I am not content at all about the Overlord coming here to our nature mucking things up.
- ... Her army emptied their latrine or something right into the river this ONE time. That was the first and last straw. That wasn't just ANY river, it was OUR BIRTH RIVER. Thousands of young Orcs died from resultant pollution.
- ==========
- Orc Lores as the game is played out:
- Orc's strength is on a legendary level; For certain trained Orcs and friends of Orcs, Fortifications and Gates enough to stop elephants are merely an obstacle to brush aside. Karak's strong, but doesn't seem to possess that mythical ability to bust down things without reason to THAT extent.
- The Orc's body runes can glow different colors depending on situation, but it usually glows crimson, whispering of strife and war when the Orc's angry or upset. It can glow green to help disguise the Orc as a tree in a forest, even if they are of the wrong species - Orc legend speaks of Orcs that forgot they were disguising as a tree and became a tree, themselves.
- Orc's barkskin are strong enough to stop crossbow bolts, optionally while flexing.
- Orc rumor speaks of Dwarves, who are suspected to be born from the Mountain itself - which would make them like Orcs. In fact, they are strong and tough, so the possibilities are entirely there. Orcs don't speak of this to Dwarves, since if the Dwarves are not advertising it, they must have a good reason. The fact that Orcs are trying to "help" Dwarves protect their "Secret" of being Orcs doesn't help, either. It's an obvious misunderstanding, and smarter Orcs like Karak recognizes it. But it doesn't stop them from using it in jest to boast about their friend's strength.
- Similar rumor for elves may or may not exist.
- Karak seems to be able to "Cook" food, to a certain extent, with his touch. It's less conventional form of cooking, as the food are most likely still raw, but the food materials processed by his hands, even if it's just a gentle touch or a light squish, becomes more... "Lively". The food's inner energy gets awakened, and the positive energy of life flows through the food. Those who would desecrate the food's feeling, such as by wasting food or not appreciating the lives given to produce the food, however, will find themselves with a heartburn as the food seeth angrily in their stomach due to maltreatment.
- The food itself still isn't edible raw, if it's never meant to be eaten raw, though orcs doesn't seem to find.
- ==========
- Bison from the swamp:
- Remy- mounts up on the bison and pets the bison " ready to start ruckus.... you need a name" ponders a moment " you shall be named bash"
- StarmanTheta Bash gives a low grunt. Bash is fine with Bash
- Karak_Asa "Bash, meet Crunch. Crunch, this is Bash." Karak grunts softly, and introduces the two animals.
- ==========
- Karak_Asa We helped one, but that's the extent of it, so no. We didn't strike directly against the Overlord this time, so no. We learned about the town, the next town, more about Recos's crew, and stuff, and sneakily Command Lore'd Clearvale, so yes to 3.
- Karak_Asa (in fact, on 3, we learned 3 possible clues today for Overlord's movements: Compass and Dead Sea, Fallen Tyrsalis, and That Green Device)
- ==========
- Karak_Asa As far as Karak knows, none. In actuality, none besides for Karak, so Karak is right.
- Karak_Asa Non-orc-wise, there are wild animals, but they are avoiding the area.
- Karak_Asa Karak would appreciate it if the area is cleaned up enough for orcs to respawn there from things like rocks and rivers. Even if it won't be the same, it's a legacy.
- Karak_Asa Orcs are based on natural elements, and Karak more closely represent a rock than something like tree or water from the river itself - THOSE died immediately. Other orcs in the area also died. Karak wasn't home.

- overlord note:
- The Overlord's name, or at least what people know her as, is Zheyva, The One Beyond the Sea. She has command of magic and is clothed in light armor with flowing cape and a halberd. She is always wearing a mask, and it's unclear if she's even human.
- She appeared recently and suddenly, from beyond the island (hence the title), with only a small group of men, but is after many sacred areas in this region, and seeks to use the disparate state of the island's cultures to her advantage to seize and drain any of these areas she can get.
- OOC Overlord notes: Stats and Weaknesses
- * For everyone else reading this, please keep in mind that this knowledge is Out-Of-Character and, without learning about it, should never be used as a consideration.
- Halbred Master: My skill with my halbred shatters mountains and parts seas.
- Arcane Manipulator: When I am around the magic of the land, I can bend it to my will effortlessly
- Always Masked: When I wear a mask that is the face of someone else, I can see into their heart
- Weakness:
- face beneath my mask--when it is exposed I am vulnerable, and do my best to keep my mask on with magical means. Only a magic like mine could remove my mask without my consent.
- Bond with Karak:
- "I've seen Karak's courageous acts, but it pales in comparision to the fear and hurt I can see within him."
