Man with No Name- Shooting Oranges

He swung out of the saddle, hitched the bay and started a slow walk toward the trio, throwing the end of the poncho over his shoulder to clear the gun at his hip. A whacking noise drew his attention to the side. Behind one of the houses, a small boy was jumping up and down, swinging a long stick in a vain effort to knock off an orange from a cluster just out of reach.

The hunter’s draw was lightning fast. He fired from the hip, without sighting, and the orange fell to the ground. The boy gaped at him, then snatched up the fruit. The Man With No Name shot again and another fell.
