To summarize, she's a catman tribe princess(? I need a better word for it) from a fantasy notCatachan/Amazon land. Despite being royalty she's actually one of the weakest out of her peers and was discriminated constantly for it since the cat tribe has this warrior culture or something. Scars are actually considered as a sign of failure for them so the claw scar she has on her hips just makes it worse. The cat tribe has a lot of enemies, one of which is the notYuan-ti tribe. Now, this notCatachan land has ancient ruins scattered around the world and they are the cliche OP ancient tech ruins from a civilization who destroyed themselves thousands of years ago kind of thing. And this snake tribe got a hold of it and somehow figured out how they worked. So one day they launched an attack on the cat tribe and the cats were no match against the mechs and guns and stuff. Now, this cat tribe has a very strict honor code or whatever that makes them very brave and stupid. They have this dont-be-a-pussy(ayy) mentality totsugeki'd towards their deaths, except for Kyurara. Kyurara has a very low self-esteem from the bullying she experienced, and I guess she became a coward because of it and so she was the only one who ran. She ran as far as she could from the snake folk who are now riding on hover vehicles, eventually she falls into a cliff but barely survived and she comes across this ancient ruins. Despite being taught by her elders not to mess with ruins because she doesn't really have any other choice so goes in, normally these ruins would be protected by guard drones but this one isn't for some reason. Anyways she goes in, no fucking clue what she's seeing/doing, just wandering around, thinking that she might as well check out what's up in these ruins before she dies and then she eventually finds herself in a room with a huge circular ring standing upright in the middle. Upon taking a step inside the room, stuff activates, and then some voice she could not understand is heard throughout the entire room. She talks back in her language saying "Who are you?" or something like that. The AI then does some AI shit and then now talks back into her language saying that it's an evacuation facility for those who wanted to flee from the apocalypse that happened thousands of years ago. Eventually with time most of the machinery have worn down and became unusable, except for this stargate that can still do one last jump. Apparently a small group of people used this gate to travel to Earth thousands of years ago to escape annihilation. Kyurara, having no fucking clue what's going on and just wants to escape the snake people asks if she could use the last jump for herself, AI gives the OK since it's apparently already on their last legs and might as well serve their purpose on their last moments and all that. Kyurara enters through the gate and finds herself in Osaka, Japan. Very confused cat wandering around in the middle of the city with her loincloth, some yakuza dudes tried to have their way with her at some point but she beats them down easy despite her bones still broken from the fall. She kinda just curls up in an alley until Yuzuki finds her because actually the yakuza dudes who met Kyu were under Yuzuki's father's clan. So Yuzuki goes out alone and meets Kyu for the first time and offers her a place to stay, they still don't understand each other but eventually Kyu goes with Yuzu and now three years have passed and she lives in together with Yuzuki. Kyu actually learns pretty quickly and can now speak fluent Japanese and work with devices on a normal people level. She used to be the weak runt back in her home world, but now she's one of the strongest people around and she enjoys finally being the big fish in a small pond and kind of gains some confidence. She can still be quite cowardly at times though. The motivation she has for returning to her world is very little, but it's still there I guess. Super genius mad scientist sonofabitch Miyako would be able to come up with a way to her world but that hasn't happened yet. She hates snakes and I plan to make a sort of snake goddess in the future so that's interesting
