Is that really all your father taught you my boy? I do admit, magic can be a fine tool, and is a useful one at that, but magic is diverse. You are wasting it by only using one of its many many talents. Magic is no art. It’s a spiritual connection that courses through one’s veins, creating a bond between them, and the people around them. This powerful bond can only be obtained by using magic from your heart, to use it for all it has to offer. One cannot just pick up these forms of magic. It takes almost a decade if you are lucky. That is because your magic is devoted to your being, and your being alone. Allow me to explain your form of magic here. I enjoy calling it Noble Magic. You use your might to protect those you love, to make sure harm isn’t even a word for you. In this era, I will say it is quite common, but unfortunately, it is also the weakest. You are too focused on everyone around you, your mind fails to think about yourself, or the essence of magic that helps you with that goal in the first place. Your father's type of magic is Entertaining Magic. He can make an entire world war become a theater in seconds. Magic is a beautiful gift upon this world, and those who see this beauty will make it thrive. The shows people see as kids, the dark stage set for the pros, he makes everyone smile, even making himself smile. The fun and games, the child in ones soul is unlocked with this kind of performance. Restrictions are broken, rules do not exist, and darkness fades as a single headlight showers over one man. And then there’s my kind of magic. Magic to me is no essence inside of me, or a mere bond to my heart. It is the very matter of my soul. Magic is a way of life. It enters your physical being, and makes me who I am. It gives me all the wisdom and guidance I need to live how I want to. I trust the magic, as if it were a friend, or family. Magic is a part of my personality, my very existence. If you cannot protect your friends, or if your father has no audience to watch him, then your magic is useless. That does not mean my use of it doesn’t have limits, believe me I know, but it is much harder to do so. Keep this in mind for your challenges. There will always be another way.
