  1. [00:50] Bella Senatus says, "Hey, Kabal. Romani, Ilsa. These guys are picking on someone. They were part of Theria's forces in the war. Might wanna check them out."
  2. [00:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Yea."
  3. [00:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Kofe."
  4. [00:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Do it."
  5. [00:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "--"
  6. [00:50] Romani cos Montclaire says, "One moment."
  7. [00:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "I'll..."
  8. [00:50] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Work."
  9. [00:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "I'll be right back."
  10. [00:50] Cayden shakes his head at the idiocy.
  11. (Cayden Arborea)
  12. [00:50] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Clarify what you mean by picking on someone."
  13. [00:50] Abel Caillier says, "They're getting.. confrontational."
  14. [00:50] Hiro locks the breaks on his wheelchair.
  15. (Hiro-tzu)
  16. [00:50] Abel Caillier says, "Because I deliver mail."
  17. [00:50] Bella Senatus says, "Well I stopped them, then they stopped this person and threatened to expose them or something."
  18. [00:51] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Threatened to 'expose' them?"
  19. [00:52] "DON'T PLAY COY WITH ME!"
  20.
  21. A shout, raised by the now livid bard, as the winds start howling outwards, the trees being pushed by the forces he lets out.
  22.
  23. "You came, to my house. You came, speaking that you are part of Duana's students. Now, I have two things I worry about..."
  24.
  25. The winds keep flowing outwards from the bard.
  26.
  27. "Either you said the truth, and now trying to claim innocence so that you won't get killed in the middle of Osrona's streets, or lied about it, and took Sanna away into a trap.
  28.
  29. So, I'll ask again...
  30. Where, is Sanna?"
  31. (Cymbal Tenor)
  32. [00:54] Talk of the witch Duana, now she was interested.
  33.
  34. "Kabal, they have leads on Duana. Even the one they're picking on. What's your call? I'm about to arrest the lot of them."
  35.
  36. Bella stood closer to Abel, trying to get in-between them and intercept the aggression.
  37. (Bella Senatus)
  38. [00:54] Heading northwards from the game of truth or dare, Romani would frown, looking towards the grouping of people on the seen. Arms remain folded behind his back as he watched on unamused.
  39.
  40. "First, is anyone threatening-"
  41.
  42. A pause in that moment as Cymbal spoke up. Eyes narrowed slightly.
  43.
  44. "Duana is the name of the witch. That is a very serious accusation. I am going to need to test for occultism, quickly. On all parties here, that is. Would any of you resist being tested for occultism?"
  45. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  46. [00:55] Kabal was injured. He didn't want to do this.
  47.
  48. Radiant orders were to be delivered.
  49.
  50. He shot fingers at everyone present.
  51.
  52. To Cayden. "Go home."
  53.
  54. To Hiro-tzu. "Go home."
  55.
  56. To Cymbal. "I'm an actual military official. I don't know who or where Sanna is. Go home." Easy enough, right? He honestly didn't want to fight at the moment, it was hard enough for him to do a dare of dancing. He already told Reese that he wouldn't exert himself. There were others who could brawl for him if need be.
  57.
  58. "Bella. Stop fucking with them." All was right in the world. He could only assume that they were talking about Abel, he was Duana's student. "You stay."
  59. (Kabal lux Ambrose)
  60. [00:55] Cymbal turns towards Romani, hearing his request... And he'll reach for his sleeve, pulling it aside.
  61.
  62. "Go ahead... I am not foolish enough to go to Osrona while Ilburg has peace with it, and have occultism in him."
  63. (Cymbal Tenor)
  64. [00:56] Hiro is just chilling calmly in his wheel chair. He looks over to Romani and nods.
  65.
  66. "...I'm not resisting to anything unless I'm attacked."
  67. (Hiro-tzu)
  68. [00:56] Romani reaches forwards, and would cast Mend upon Cymbal's arm first. Before more questions came on, he would watch the reaction, trying to see if he had occultism. Similiarlly, as Hiro spoke, Romani would also cast the spell upon him.
  69. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  70. [[00:56] Alas, hiro remains a cripple! Nothing happens, as he has no wounds to heal!
  71. (Hiro-tzu)
  72. [00:58] His shoulders lifted in a brief shrug, a feigned expression of unknowingness present on his face. He was in fact, playing coy.
  73.
  74. "I won't resist at all. Check me if you wish, I'll divulge whatever information I have discreetly to a proper official."
  75.
  76. A glance was shot to the aggravated Cymbal, the ends of their lips creeping upward in a decrepit smirk.
  77.
  78. "But I'm sure you wouldn't like that. You know what I know, you know what happened. Do you think confronting me like this is wise?"
  79. (Abel Caillier)
  80. [00:59] He was seriously about to start a fight with Bella for the bitch was actually trying to act as though she had any jurisdiction on here, so deep down, it was beneficial that Kabal had stepped in.
  81.
  82. A hand was put on Cymbal's shoulder and used to pull him back.
  83.
  84. "Stand. Down."
  85.
  86. They did not need to start a fight with the others right now.
  87.
  88. "Calm down, Witches and whatever is beyond those Gates are our only enemies right now, remember that."
  89.
  90. Still holding onto his fellow Kalvorian's shoulder, Bella's presence is now completely ignored, and he turns to face Kabal.
  91.
  92. "Kabal, we will leave, but I'll return to know if you got anything from this man at all. We all want the same thing, and there's someone I need to find. I'll explain more the next time I see you, in private."
  93.
  94. He respected and admired the Rhoynish enough to trust them to some information about who he was searching and why, but not here, not now, and certainly not in front of everyone.
  95.
  96. "Let's go."
  97.
  98. He tells the others."
  99. (Cayden Arborea)
  100. [01:00] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Actually-"
  101. [01:00] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Hold for a moment."
  102. [01:00] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Cayden."
  103. [01:00] Cayden still doesn't give a damn.
  104. (Cayden Arborea)
  105. [01:00] Cayden Arborea asks, "What?"
  106. [01:02] Upon Roman's touch, he could feel the heat coming out from Cymbal's skin, reddened from anger.
  107. However, instead of it growing worse upon the holy touch of Romani, the skin gives in, cooling off and turning less red.
  108. At least, temporarily. Once Romani would let go of the touch, it'll grow red from anger once more.
  109.
  110. Holy touch can help with the physical aspects, not much for the emotional ones. At least, not from a mere touch.
  111.
  112. Before Cymbal would be able to do anything to Abel however, he feels Cayden's hand over his shoulder, telling him to stand down.
  113.
  114. Taking deep, unsteady breaths, he'll try and calm himself done, turning towards Cayden.
  115.
  116. "... I'll stand down."
  117. (Cymbal Tenor)
  118. [01:07] "Kabal,"
  119.
  120. No positives for occultism. Romani would give a nod towards both Cymbal and Hiro, before turning to look towards Abel. Similar to the two others, he would cast the spell of mending upon them, aiming to dull any pains.
  121.
  122. "I can not recommend dismissing yet. They mentioned that this is one of Duana's students, or they lied, saying they were to lure someone named Sanna away. This suggests that Sanna is either a Witch, or otherwise interested in them."
  123.
  124. "Have people start looking for her. We can also test her for occultism and witchdom if found. I would also advise gaining as much information about this situation as possible."
  125.
  126. With that, Romani focus again on the usage of holy magic. "After, let us take this boy's statement. In fact, we should take all statements and cross evaluate them. If not now, then in the future."
  127. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  128. [01:07] Cayden Arborea says, "whisper 2 I do not know. Next time I see him, I'll tell them you're looking for him."
  129. [01:08] Cymbal Tenor says, "... My only goal for Sanna, if this is true, is to purify the occult out of her."
  130. [01:08] Romani cos Montclaire says, "It would be a similar goal for myself. I want the wickedness of occultism purged. I do not want good people at risk."
  131. [01:11] No reaction at all was made to the mending magic. Once the check had been completed, attention averts to Romani. Ideas begin to churn, decisions were to be made. Would he rather inform Osrona or Theria?
  132.
  133. His decision made clear when he addresses the bishop.
  134.
  135. "I'd like to speak to Stellus Pericles about it. And.. I think it'd be best if they stayed here."
  136.
  137. A knowing glance shot to the group, particularly Cymbal, before a finger extended to point towards them.
  138. (Abel Caillier)
  139. [01:12] Cymbal Tenor asks, "... The champion? Why are you bringing him up?"
  140. [01:12] Tonak Botcher says, "Cymbal out due respect please follow Cayden orders and dont let him get to you"
  141. [01:12] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Well, for one, the Stellus would be one of the people capable of testing for Witchcraft, so I would say that is a fair request."
  142. [01:14] Kofe scratched at his chin. He was tired of it. Even if Eirene to him not to, he would. Of course he would. The more lies he saw, the worse he got. His lips finally parted as he shot a question through the crowd, loud and clear for all to hear.
  143.
  144. "Are you going to talk to him as Abel or as Emil?"
  145.
  146. Liars. He had grown tired of them.
  147. (Kofe)
  148. [01:14] Cymbal Tenor asks, "... Emil?"
  149. [01:14] Cymbal Tenor asks, "Who is Emil?"
  150. [01:14] Cymbal Tenor asks, "And who is Abel?"
  151. [01:14] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Emil is a member of the church. A deacon I believe."
  152. [01:14] Abel Caillier says, "I guess it matters little."
  153. [01:14] Kofe says, "Emil and Abel are the same person, Romani. I figured I'd ask him."
  154. [01:15] Kofe says, "He became a deacon accidentally when he infiltrated the church, Romani."
  155. [01:15] Emil Rousseau asks, "Infiltrated?"
  156. [01:15] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Ah, I see, he slipped, fell, and accidently became a Deacon. This is sarcasm."
  157. [01:15] Emil Rousseau says, "I was inducted, Kofe."
  158. [01:16] Kofe says, "It's not sarcasm."
  159. [01:16] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Tell me more of his name as 'Abel' if you would. And Cymbal, was it? Tell me what you know of him as well."
  160. [01:16] Emil Rousseau says, "Hm? I'm Abel."
  161. [01:16] Kofe says, "I just figured I'd straighten things up."
  162. [01:16] Bella Senatus says, "I mean, if these three have information on Emil here, wonder what more they know. Hmm. It's like my gut was telling the truth Kabal. "
  163. [01:17] Kofe says, "Maybe it's worth taking a look into a member of the church supposedly learning from a witch."
  164. [01:17] Emil Rousseau says, "It's my separate identity."
  165. [01:17] Cymbal Tenor says, "-Wait... Now I think I'm beginning to understand."
  166. [01:17] Romani cos Montclaire says, "It is very worth looking at."
  167. [01:17] Romani cos Montclaire says, "It is why I want as much information as I can get."
  168. [01:17] Emil Rousseau says, "A precaution I had to take to prevent myself from being /attacked/ by Ilburg again."
  169. [01:17] Cayden thinks this is all too annoying.
  170. (Cayden Arborea)
  171. [01:18] Kofe exclaims, "Now, lying is bad, dear Abel!"
  172. [01:18] Kofe says, "Tell them."
  173. [01:18] Cymbal Tenor says, "So, you came to our house as Abel, claimed to be a student of Duana so that Sanna would follow you, and brought to her a trap as a member of the church..."
  174. [01:18] That was something new. Kofe decided to speak. Good thing he had. A hand patted Romani on the back and nodded a head towards Emil? Abel? "Take that one, Romani. That's your jurisdiction. I'll send Bella with you as some form of protection, they're able to fight well in case something happens."
  175.
  176. Hands clasped both onto Cayden and Cymbal. Though, he seemed to be talking directly to Cymbal. "You want to talk to me about witchcraft?"
  177. (Kabal lux Ambrose)
  178. [01:20] Romani nodded.
  179.
  180. "I will bring Emil to the church where he can inform the Stellus of everything. Do gather all the information that you can, Kabal. Let's make sense of as much of this as we can, and compile information after."
  181.
  182. "Come Emil."
  183. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  184. [01:20] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Bella, with me."
  185. [01:20] Emil Rousseau says, "Romani."
  186. [01:20] Emil Rousseau says, "Since you've heard.. all of this."
  187. [01:20] Romani departs, if not further stopped. "Yes?"
  188. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  189. [01:20] Emil Rousseau says, "It'd be best if you accompanied me while I talk to the Stellus."
  190. [01:20] Emil Rousseau says, "You seem trustworthy enough."
  191. [01:20] Bella Senatus says, "Ilsa, can you look after Ella? I'm sure you heard what they said."
  192. [01:20] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Thank you. I am someone who seeks the truth of situations. I want to get to the bottom of this."
  193. [01:21] Cymbal pulls his hand away from Kabal.
  194.
  195. "I have nothing I can say about witchcraft. Up until a year ago it was but mere fairy tales. Right now? I just want to find Sanna, before something bad would happen to her."
  196.
  197. As he says it, he'll turn to look towards Emil.
  198. "Considering that man was the last one I had seen with her... You can understand my fears, I believe."
  199. (Cymbal Tenor)
  200. [01:23] Bella Senatus says, "Can't believe you."
  201. [01:23] Bella Senatus says, "You, of all people."
  202. [01:23] Emil Rousseau exclaims, "There he is!"
  203. [01:23] Emil Rousseau asks, "Hm?"
  204. [01:23] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Stellus Percilies."
  205. [01:23] Pericles Vitalis says, "Hello you three."
  206. [01:23] Bella Senatus says, "Peri, before you ask, and before you speak Romani."
  207. [01:24] Bella Senatus says, "The Church. LEt's go."
  208. [01:24] Romani cos Montclaire says, "We have the name of a suspected Witch and occultist, as well as need an information debriefing."
  209. [01:24] Romani cos Montclaire says, "With me, if you would."
  210. [01:24] Pericles Vitalis says, "Hm? Important I pres..- Ah, let's head over."
  211. [01:24] Pericles Vitalis says, "To the meeting room up stairs."
  212. [01:24] Pericles Vitalis says, "Occupied currently my room unfortunately."
  213. [01:25] Bella guards the door.
  214. (Bella Senatus)
  215. [01:25] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Emil, all the information, if you would."
  216. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "There's no need for her to be here."
  217. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "I want this to remain in the Church."
  218. [01:25] Bella Senatus says, "I am a Teraphim. Witchcraft purging is my dogma."
  219. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "There are no witches."
  220. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "She isn't a witch."
  221. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "You may leave."
  222. [01:25] Bella Senatus says, "I am not leaving."
  223. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "Leave."
  224. [01:25] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Stellus, if you would voice your opinion."
  225. [01:25] Pericles Vitalis says, "Hmm? Well, it depends. This'll most likely reach the Order's ear anyway."
  226. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "In that case, she will hear regardless."
  227. [01:25] Emil Rousseau says, "There's no need for her to be here."
  228. [01:26] Bella Senatus says, "Pericles, I am more than just part of the order. I am not leaving this room for all of our sakes."
  229. [01:26] Pericles Vitalis says, "Emil truly you're abrasive sometimes. Bella, it'll reach your ears anyway, you'll most likely end up being the messenger when it comes to delivering said news to the Radiants or Lightbringer."
  230. [01:26] Emil Rousseau says, "Then I won't speak."
  231. [01:27] Pericles Vitalis says, "..."
  232. [01:27] Bella Senatus says, "Then you will sit in silence until a test is perfomed."
  233. [01:27] Emil Rousseau says, "Romani performed the test."
  234. [01:27] Pericles Vitalis says, "And I'd rather not wait here in silence. Bella please wait outside for a moment."
  235. [01:27] Bella Senatus says, "That's not the same test."
  236. [01:28] Bella Senatus asks, "Do you honestly think my people don't know how witchcraft work?"
  237. [01:28] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Emil has been tested for occultism. Not Witchdom. I do not possess the ability for that test."
  238. [01:28] Pericles Vitalis says, "If it's about occultists and witches, it'll reach your ears afterwards."
  239. [01:28] Bella Senatus says, "Pericles. I refuse to leave this room. He has not been tested for the wicked art."
  240. [01:28] Emil Rousseau says, "If it concerns you this much."
  241. [01:29] Emil Rousseau says, "My weapons."
  242. [01:29] Emil Rousseau says, "Search me if you have any suspicions."
  243. [01:29] {Item} You picked up Khaine. Dropped by Emil Rousseau. .
  244. [01:29] {Item} You picked up Harglaive. Dropped by Emil Rousseau. .
  245. [01:29] Bella Senatus says, "That matters little to what abilities you may have."
  246. [01:29] Pericles Vitalis says, "Again, there's no need for such. If he's a witch, which I highly doubt."
  247. [01:29] Pericles Vitalis says, "It'll all be revealed after a search."
  248. [01:29] Emil Rousseau says, "I'm sure Stellus Vitalis is more than capable."
  249. [01:29] Emil Rousseau says, "Of subduing me if need be."
  250. [01:30] Bella Senatus says, "Do you understand how uncaring it would be of me to leave this room? I refuse."
  251. [01:30] Emil Rousseau says, "And I'm uncaring if that."
  252. [01:30] Pericles Vitalis says, "Your cares are commendable, and.. Uugh."
  253. [01:30] Pericles Vitalis asks, "I will search him now then, for witchcraft, and then would you please wait outside Bella?"
  254. [01:31] Romani would fold his arms behind his back.
  255.
  256. "The situation is, Emil, or Abel, as he has otherwise has been called, was approached on the Baleford bridge by a trio of Therians. They believe that he led a woman named Sanna somewhere and that she did not come back. They claimed this was done by Abel claiming to be one of Duana's students."
  257.
  258. "Thus, Sanna is either an occultist or a Witch. I have also been told that Emil has been living some sort of other identity while in Illburg and Theria."
  259.
  260. "None of the parties present were occultists. I do not have the ability to check for Witches."
  261.
  262. Romani said, just casually explaining filling Perciles in as everyone else argued.
  263. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  264. [01:32] Bella Senatus says, "If he is not a witch, once tested I will leave the room."
  265. [01:33] Emil Rousseau says, "Test me. I have nothing to hide."
  266. [01:45] To wake up to such trouble, what a horrible life the Stellus led. And thankfully Romani's words cut through the arguing and revealing the situation further for Pericles.
  267.
  268. A double identity, and the apparent kidnapping of an occultist or witch. What a hassle. Pericles's brow furrowed in thought for a moment, before a sigh broke free from his lips as he rose to a stand, slipping past Romani to stand near Emil.
  269.
  270. Such a humiliating and painful ritual to be undertaken by the Deacon, and luckily he was to be a willing participant. Blue eyes scanned across the room for a moment, before he began.
  271.
  272. "I am sorry Emil."
  273.
  274. And he truly was, sincerity filling his tone as he dipped his head lightly towards the Deacon.
  275.
  276. "This'll be painful, please remove your clothing, while we begin to get ready."
  277.
  278. Orders were soon barked out after the soft tone of the Stellus finished, acolytes called forth from the wing of the church to receive materials that would be used within the ritual.
  279.
  280. Ritualistic carvings soon appearing on the floor of the meeting room, holy energy flickering throughout the carvings as if waiting to be realised as acolytes began to slowly fuel the surrounding runes.
  281.
  282. When Emil had stripped down, his flesh bare for the ritual to continue the Stellus's hand lightly guided the man into the middle, sadness tinting his blue orbs for a moment before they hardened.
  283.
  284. A necessary measure for them to continue, a brief flicker of his gaze moved towards Bella.
  285.
  286. "Let's begin."
  287.
  288. Pericles's cosmic-codex found itself revealed to his eyes, flickered to a specific page as he started to chant, incarnations leaving his parting lips as a hand rose towards Emil, holy energy making itself further known within the room.
  289.
  290. A harsher tone, the calling forth of holy fire and purgatory magic that looked to reveal any sign of a black pentagram, to reveal the marking that came when someone sold their allegiance to the Dark Lord of Helheim.
  291.
  292. The entire surface area of Emil's revealed flesh was slowly seared away, searching, forever on the hunt for that marking.
  293. (Pericles Vitalis)
  294. [01:46] Romani cos Montclaire says, "One moment. I will check the door."
  295. **I will make notes when Romani goes to check the door, like now.**
  296. [01:46] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Yes?"
  297. [01:46] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Radiant here."
  298. [01:46] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Hello."
  299. [01:46] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Hey. Give it a few, they are doing a rather,"
  300. [01:46] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "I can leave the cat at the door if it's a problem, for only a moment-"
  301. [01:46] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Bloody looking testing currently."
  302. [01:46] Kabal lux Ambrose asks, "Is the Stellus in there?"
  303. [01:46] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Yes."
  304. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Y'don't need me."
  305. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose asks, "Bella's in there too?"
  306. [01:47] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Yes."
  307. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Y'don't need me."
  308. [01:47] Romani cos Montclaire says, "We also have his weapons."
  309. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Let me know the results."
  310. [01:47] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Will do. How did your end go?"
  311. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Mmh."
  312. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "I did a bit of questioning as to why they knew."
  313. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "So- like."
  314. [01:47] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Sanna, the girl they want, is Cayden's sister and Cymbal's future whatever."
  315. [01:48] Romani cos Montclaire says, "So, a personal link."
  316. [01:48] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Emil, Abel, whatever his name is came into their house and persuaded Sanna to follow him."
  317. [01:48] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Against Cayden and Cymbal's pleading."
  318. [01:48] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "They haven't seen her since."
  319. [01:48] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Emil probably led her to a Witch."
  320. [01:48] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "For whatever ritual."
  321. [01:48] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "That's the assumption."
  322. [01:48] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I see."
  323. [01:49] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "So-"
  324. [01:49] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Is there any more details they gave? Any other names of people who might be Witches?"
  325. [01:49] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "While he may not directly be occultic, he can still be linked--"
  326. [01:49] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "No."
  327. [01:49] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "But you'll see Cymbal more often, I told him he was free to visit the Church if you wanted to continue some line of questioning."
  328. [01:49] Romani cos Montclaire says, "He is currently being burned by holy fire inside, Abel, I mean. I will get back to that, and I will speak to Cymbal as well after this."
  329. [01:49] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Thank you."
  330. [01:49] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Mhm."
  331. [01:49] Kabal lux Ambrose asks, "Have fun?"
  332. [01:49] Romani cos Montclaire says, "It will not be."
  333. [01:49] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I can only hope they are not a Witch. The trial is quite harsh."
  334. [01:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, ". . ."
  335. [01:50] Romani nods to Kabal, before heading back inside.
  336. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  337. [01:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "L-Let me know."
  338. [01:50] Kabal lux Ambrose says, "Night, Romani."
  339. [01:50] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Night Kabal."
  340. **Romani went back in, but a second door knock drew him back out.**
  341. [01:54] Edelaide Astaret says, "Hi."
  342. [01:54] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Yes?"
  343. [01:54] Edelaide Astaret asks, "Is Emil here?"
  344. [01:54] Edelaide Astaret says, "Great, he has my remote. I need it."
  345. [01:54] Edelaide opens her palm.
  346. (Edelaide Astaret)
  347. [01:54] Edelaide Astaret asks, "Well?"
  348. [01:54] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Emil is here and currently unavaliable."
  349. [01:54] Edelaide Astaret says, "That's a shame. He has my remote."
  350. [01:54] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "What remote, and your name please?"
  351. [01:55] Edelaide Astaret says, "Edelaide. Remote for a captive suspected of witchcraft."
  352. [01:55] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Name of the suspected Witch?"
  353. [01:55] Edelaide Astaret says, "Sanna, except she's not a witch."
  354. [01:55] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "As well as your rank in things?"
  355. [01:55] Edelaide Astaret says, "He captured her for the sake of releasing that clergy girl, ah... Deixis."
  356. [01:56] Edelaide Astaret says, "Who's apparently being held in Theria."
  357. [01:56] Edelaide Astaret says, "My rank? I'm a mercenary."
  358. [01:56] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I see."
  359. [01:56] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Where can I contact you after things?"
  360. [01:56] Edelaide Astaret says, "I don't particularly care for Emil's nonsense. I need the remote."
  361. [01:56] Edelaide Astaret says, "Uh."
  362. [01:56] Edelaide Astaret says, "I usually wander around."
  363. [01:57] Romani cos Montclaire says, "What is happening inside will be a while. But I will try to find you after."
  364. [01:57] Edelaide Astaret says, "I need the remote."
  365. [01:57] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "And releasing Deixis from whom?"
  366. [01:57] Edelaide Astaret says, "From Duana. The witch Duana."
  367. [01:58] Edelaide Astaret says, "I'm fairly certain Emil plans on drawing her out, and... Mmn."
  368. [01:58] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Thank you. I can not let you inside at this time, but can you wait downstairs?"
  369. [01:58] Edelaide Astaret says, "I'll wait here."
  370. [01:58] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Thank you."
  371. [01:58] Edelaide props herself against the wall, arms coming to an idle fold.
  372. (Edelaide Astaret)
  373. [02:07] True to his word, Emil remained stalwart, complying with the demands made by the Stellus. One by one, articles of clothes would be stripped and discarded, placed on the bench whilst the ritual was prepared.
  374.
  375. Though, Pericle's admission was a cause of some alarm. Brows perked before narrowing on Bella.
  376.
  377. "Painful? I have to endure this because of that paranoid Teraphim?"
  378.
  379. Clear resentment was present, a shake of his head further expressing this. He had agreed to the ritual before being made aware of what it actually entailed, similar to how his induction went years ago.
  380.
  381. Lids fell shut as the incantations begans, bracing himself of what was to come. A layer of ritualistic flames were cast upon his bare skin, the agonizingly slow searing causing him to howl in pain. Limbs would eventually falter, causing him to kneel with open palms planted into the carpetted floor.
  382.
  383. Screams would persist through the ritual's duration, yet no mark was made visible. The pentagram that indicated a link to Helheim? Nonexistent.
  384. (Emil Rousseau)
  385.
  386. [02:12] Bella watched with clear intent. Her eyes scouring the mans body over and over again. She'd seen this done before in the past, and knew others had not experienced as much pain as him. Must just not have much pain tolerance.
  387.
  388. She walked around the handrail to get closer. She needed to be sure, uncaring if he was naked.
  389.
  390. "This is all your fault anyway. Why test the nerves of this kingdom by admitting to working with Duana? Quite foolish. You know what will happen to you after this regardless."
  391.
  392. Her eyes stayed keen on this man.
  393.
  394. "Pericles. I don't appreciate being told to leave at all, regardless of the circumstances. Witches know Teraphim the ability to counteract them, and this one acts no different in my eyes. I believe he is guilty of conspiring some ploy with them for sure. Since he does not wish to speak with me here? It proves that point."
  395.
  396. She watched without care for his person, aflame. Her own eyes shadingover to an off white with rubies replacing the amethyst hues. The influence of the wraith taking hold of her emotional state.
  397. (Bella Senatus)
  398. [02:18] It was back and forth into the room tonight, as Emil was tested for being a Witch. Thankfully, almost. The sounds of suffering screams, every time he could look onto the scene, he saw the burning sacred fires feasting upon Emil's flesh. It was not pretty. It was not pretty at all.
  399.
  400. Ritualistic carvings, holy energy, the Stellus truly had a stronger stomach then the Bishop. Eyes squeezed shut in front of the situation, almost holding his breath so he would not have the smell the charred flesh. And yet, through it all no mark of Witchdom could be seen.
  401.
  402. In all honesty, that made it worse.
  403.
  404. The fact that they had to do this, and find out the person was innocent. The fact he learned it was so intense, and that emil had not sold their soul. Finally, however, it seemed to be winding down, and he shook his head.
  405.
  406. "I do agree that Emil should have been forthcoming with information. I agree he should have never said he was working with Duana. However, he is unwilling to give what he knows currently. If he is conspiring, myself and the Stellus should be able to get that information."
  407.
  408. "You said you would leave after he was checked, if he was not a Warlock. He is not. Please leave so that we can have his statement. He is innocent of Witchcraft."
  409. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  410. [02:19] Bella Senatus says, "Romani, you ask me to leave and disregard my existance as a Teraphim. Remember this."
  411. [02:20] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Bella, he will not talk with you here. I ask you to let us here him speak. Otherwise no progress is made."
  412. [02:20] Romani cos Montclaire says, "And an innocent man is burned for nothing."
  413. [02:26] Perhaps the knocking on the door at any other time would be a welcome distraction, but for now it didn't even register within Pericles's ears. No, all he could hear were the screams of Emil as his flesh was searched by holy fire.
  414.
  415. A horrible experience, for the one underneath the flames and those that had to bare witness to his resolve. Pericles's blue eyes remained hardened even as those screams from Emil cut away at his determination. For he was the one causing such pain.
  416.
  417. Slowly Emil's skin cooked away as the ritualistic magic worked along his body in search of the black pentagram. Which would soon, after a harrowing few more minutes not be found, and when the search was deemed finished, the Stellus's magic cut off instantly, a wave of fatigue settling across him for a moment.
  418.
  419. But that didn't stop him from instantly sending out a calmer, more protective coating of holy magic towards Emil's form, magic that looked to heal away the pain that no doubt racked across his body. Comforting and warm, Pericles's magic looked to fix the damage caused by such a tormenting ritual.
  420.
  421. "Emil will be spoken to further, Bella. I understand your desire to find out more and search out those with Elaide's bloodline, I welcome it even."
  422.
  423. Pericles's attention moved over towards the Teraphim after he had ensured that Emil's pain had at least ebbed away to a more manageable level, the cosmic-codex within his grip closed and placed against his side.
  424.
  425. "If he's guilty, it will be found out. But for now please wait outside while we talk."
  426.
  427. Romani's words summed up more of what the Stellus wished to touch upon, a nod thrown out towards Bella as his words came to a close, blue eyes moving back onto Emil as he waited for the Deacon to compose himself.
  428. (Pericles Vitalis)
  429. [02:33] Bella turned from the scene. She cared not for the burns the man would encumber from the accusation. Many have bore such a thing for the sake of others lives. She's seen it many times before.
  430.
  431. She stepped along slowly with a hand sliding along the wood handrailing. The slow strides with a curious look about her. She'd enter the fray of what she thought would be her destiny. To take out the remains of this coven. She was close, the connection remained in this room. Yet there would be more out there, wouldn't there be?
  432.
  433. Her time in Osrona would soon come to a close. The need to move on to next step in finding the coven. Emil's associates known to her and whereabouts closer than they thought.
  434.
  435. Her other hand pilfered the badge of the order from her person. She stared at it for some time. August, Serea, Ilsa and Kabal. The only ones she really knew of. It was time to say goodbye for now.
  436.
  437. She left it on the bench.
  438.
  439. "If he doesn't talk, he's guilty. If he does talk about it, he's guiltier. I'll go check on his friends. Farewell Pericles, Romani." She said in a somber tone, departing.
  440. (Bella Senatus)
  441. [02:34] Del mer Joyau asks, "If i may interject... There is a woman who is suspected of occultism.. may... I bring her in..?"
  442. [02:34] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Name?"
  443. [02:35] Del mer Joyau says, "Sanna. A red haired woman..."
  444. [02:35] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Yes."
  445. [02:35] Del mer Joyau says, "I'll go get her..."
  446. [02:36] Emil Rousseau says, "... Don't bring her in."
  447. [02:36] Romani cos Montclaire says, "She needs to stay in a room for us to take her statement."
  448. [02:37] Romani cos Montclaire says, "If not here, then another. "
  449. [02:38] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Stellus, is your room currently in use?"
  450. [02:38] Sanna Arborea says, "I....don't know if its relevant. I haven't seen them in years. But my cousin is Uri Sanctum and my adoptive great grandmother is Elora Otho."
  451. [02:38] Pericles Vitalis says, "I am not too sure unfortunately."
  452. [02:39] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Not too relevant. Del, can you take her to the next room over and have her stay there? We can talk to her right after Emil."
  453. [02:39] Sanna nods
  454. (Sanna Arborea)
  455. [02:39] The Priest enters with Sanna. They've been in and out of the room since hearing of a 'test' being conducted on Emil. Is he truly one of them? Is that their goal? To enter the Church?
  456.
  457. They don't have all the pieces but, this red haired woman has connection with Deixis and in her goodbye note. Assumed occultism- But was it true?
  458.
  459. Del just looks to Emil, Pericles, and Romani.
  460.
  461. "I can take her somewhere else, perhaps question her while you... Conduct your test..." It seemed painful, even though they wielded flames.
  462.
  463. "Alright...."
  464. (Del mer Joyau)
  465. [02:39] Emil Rousseau says, "No.."
  466. [02:39] Emil Rousseau says, "It's too late, just fucking keep her here."
  467. [02:40] Del mer Joyau says, ". . ."
  468. [02:58] The outermost layer of his skin was burnt away, blisters forming at its surface as the torturous experience proceeded. Torment elongated the few minutes it took, features twisted with pain, shrivelling as beads of sweat and tears dripped to the floor.
  469.
  470. Screams lingered as the flames were subdued, slowly devolving to laboured breaths, lungs desperately grasping for the air that the cries had deprived of. Smoldering anguish existed on every inch of his body, unbearable if not for the Stellus's mending. Gulps and pants lasted for a minute or two, until he was eventually well enough to rise. Gradually he made his way to the bench, retrieving his possession and promptly clothing himself, a task he struggled with considering his marred flesh.
  471.
  472. And before he could open his mouth to speak? Sanna had been brought into the room. Everything was crumbling.
  473.
  474. "Why is she... Edelaide, what the fuck?"
  475.
  476. Singed digits rose to point to the suspected occultists, eyes glaring menacingly. "You.. keep your mouth shut until I finish speaking. Everyone, please keep quiet until I finish. Just.. give me a moment."
  477.
  478. Further time was taken to recompose himself, hands burrowing through his pockets to confirm the presence of a crucial object. It was there. His plans were about to be laid out for all to hear. His hand was forced, unable to keep the information from those he wished not to hear. Forced by the idiotic accusations of her husband. If Abel really was an escort of Duana, why would he decide to expose that to all of Osrona?
  479.
  480. A crumbled sheet of paper was withdraw from his inner compartments and handed over to Pericles. A notice that he'd likely seen before. Deixis's resignation.
  481.
  482. "Do you want to know the real reason she resigned? She befriended Sanna before she knew her involvement with Duana. They revealed it to her and threatened her, they made her leave the clergy because she feared for her own safety.
  483.
  484. I wanted her back. I went searching for her under the guise of 'Abel' and tracked her all the way to Ilburg. She told me everything. I devised my plan. I went to Theria while they were evacuating citizens, exiling witches, occultists or those associated with them. I went to her, lulled her by claiming to be an escort, that Duana sent me to retrieve her students.
  485.
  486. I don't know if she's an occultist, I don't know if she's a witch; and frankly? I don't want to know. I know she's one of the many student that Duana's possesses. Whether it's for the depraved arts or not. She could be another puppet for all I know, it doesn't concern me.
  487.
  488. I brought her into the forest and gave her two options: fight or peacefully surrender. She agreed to come into capitivity, unharmed so I could trade her for Deixis back. That's all I want, all I care about. Nobody else needed to be involved, nobody else needed to know, especially the Order. You know how incompetent they are. They would execute Deixis's only chance of freedom. I didn't want to risk the losing her."
  489. (Emil Rousseau)
  490. [03:00] Emil Rousseau says, "Also.. Deixis claimed she wasn't an occultist."
  491. [03:06] Romani is silent, only listening to the talk at hand, eyes on Sanna all the while. The full plot layed out for him to listen to. His lips would remain closed, first putting together his thoughts.
  492.
  493. "So what you are saying is that Deixis befriended a Witch, and decided to leave the Clergy for that reason?" Romani began, with this first clarification. "You wanted her back because of a personal bond."
  494.
  495. "You made this identity of Abel specifically to track her down. Sanna is a student of Duana, but you are not sure of what art. You are currently holding her in an anti-magic collar and remote, and saying you will return her to a Witch in exchange for Dexis, who has befriended said Witch."
  496.
  497. "What is Sanna being trained in by Duana? And why are you so obessesed with Deixis that you would magic collar another just for her?"
  498.
  499. "I want to know all this before I can advise anything."
  500. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  501. [03:07] Del just listens right now as they stand beside Sanna.
  502. (Del mer Joyau)
  503. [03:07] Sanna remains silent until given some kind of leave or sign to speak
  504. (Sanna Arborea)
  505. [03:11] A new addition to their little gathering.
  506.
  507. Sanna's arrival had the Stellus's eyes moving onto the woman as she was named, the collar around her spotted almost instantly, a tint of a frown overtaking his visage as he remained silent.
  508.
  509. "Emil."
  510.
  511. Such a troublesome clergy member. His past words about not being able to use magic, and unwilling to learn had raised some suspicions, and when he received news that the previously ranked acolyte was capable of using magic.
  512.
  513. Well, that raised questions.
  514.
  515. "It seems you've been quite busy. Deixis's matter, did you forget you're a member of the Faith? And that those who have also sworn their oaths would of gladly aided you in protecting, in retrieving Deixis if she was in harms way?"
  516.
  517. "That I would of helped you?"
  518.
  519. The chair's armrest behind him was taken as a seat by the Stellus as he paused for a moment in his words, listening into Romani's question to further clarify the situation that the deacon had revealed.
  520.
  521. An index-finger drummed along into the cosmic-codex's cover, a sign of impatience perhaps as he swapped his gaze towards the collared Sanna.
  522.
  523. "Do you study the occult underneath Duana Kurokaiyo, the witch within Theria?"
  524.
  525. A simple question, head tilting to the side as he spoke towards the woman. Emil would be further questioned after Romani's questions had received answers and better painted the picture that was slowly unfolding within the mind of the Stellus.
  526. (Pericles Vitalis)
  527. [03:29] Troublesome indeed, ever since his first day of becoming an acolyte. It was a miracle that he'd even been promoted, a fact that bewildered even himself. His resentment for the Order, the opinions that conflicted within the clergy, the second identity he possessed, and his rather abrasive personality caused problems everywhere.
  528.
  529. He turned to Romani, almost barking when addressing his questions. Everything that had unfolded until this point had agitated him.
  530.
  531. "She befriended her before she discovered that she was a witch. She stays with them now out of fear, not friendship. She left the Clergy for her safety and our own."
  532.
  533. An act that he had praised her for, information that she had solely trusted to him. A situation that she knew he could solve.
  534.
  535. "The rest is correct. I do not know what she's being trained in, I don't want to know. Deixis told me that she isn't an occultist or a witch. That might've changed, I don't know for certain. Obsessed with Deixis?.. She's one of us. I care for her wellbeing and I wanted to guarentee her rescue. Involving others would just complicate things further. Sorry, it /did/ complicate things.
  536.
  537. Then, he turned to Pericles. He was upset, rightfully so. He was that one that had inducted him into the clergy, the person that he'd interacted with the most. Yet, Emil had kept much from him.
  538.
  539. "I was planning on telling you once I returned, I was on my way here until I was stopped. I know each and everyone one of you would've aided me, but I was the only one capable of infilitrating them, am I not? Everything had gone perfectly, nobody was harmed, the trade would've gone off without a hitch. Theria wouldn't have cared, they'd already told Sanna to leave. I'm perfectly fine with my persona being a target of Duana. That much I'm willing to sacrifice for Deixis's life!"
  540. (Emil Rousseau)
  541. [03:30] She shook her head.
  542.
  543. "No sir. She has talked about the occult in my presence but I have not studied it under her. Even calling me a student is only technically true. I've only had one lesson and it was about cosmic magic. I...didn't really get it."
  544.
  545. Her eyes were fixated firmly on the floor, her hand playing with an orichalcum amulet around her neck, gripping the end and occasionally rubbing her thumb over its surface. She was incredibly nervous, though the reasons were myriad. Not to mention how she'd explain trying to go back to Theria when....if she was released from Osrona. They'd already suspected her of espionage once.
  546.
  547. If someone looked close enough they could see her trembling. Today had been too much too fast and it was getting increasingly difficult to keep track of it all.
  548. (Sanna Arborea)
  549. [03:38] The Priest listened quietly. Emil under suspect of being a witch, and the woman behind him. One could say there's paranoia within the Church but they should remain cautious. Once did were their ranks infiltrated by an occultist. And for it to happen again?
  550.
  551. The tale is spun, questioned answered.
  552.
  553. He wished to help Deixis in exchange for his own life if need be. Del couldn't imagine the woman's fear. Could she not leave at any moment? Is she truly held captive?
  554.
  555. Their gaze shifted to Sanna. A student, but not of occultic but the Stars. And it failed, those lessons. But, they don't speak on it and they just look back to Emil. What a situation this has spun to.
  556.
  557. "Sanna, you should sit down and rest. My offer for any food is still on the table." Del sighed lightly as they try to access the situation. Dark blue hues fall to Emil, a bit saddened, really.
  558.
  559. "Perhaps it's been successful alone, but in doing so you've made yourself suspicious. If those are your feelings, someone within the Clergy should have been informed. It can be labeled noble, but it can also be labeled foolish, even were it to succeed."
  560.
  561. Distrust. Was that it? Does Emil not trust them?
  562.
  563. "That is within our job and oaths. To protect our values and the faithful- The Clergy. Were you aware of her leaving being under something else entirely then you should have informed us immediately... What if you were to be harmed and taken? Then we lose two..."
  564.
  565. Their hands came together, a shaky exhale escaping them.
  566.
  567. "I also believe Sanna is telling the truth... Deixis did.. mh.. but the letter could have been reviewed and she was made to write it but... I have reason to believe it."
  568.
  569. Falling silent, they returned to just looking between all present.
  570. (Del mer Joyau)
  571. [03:41] Romani squinted his eyes together in silence.
  572.
  573. "In all honesty, I am not fully sure what to make of this matter." The Bishop admitted, taking a small inhale.
  574.
  575. "I understand that Deixis was one of us. But at the same time, whether it was out of fear, or friendship, she choose. She choose this Witch over the members of the Church. She had the ability to come back, to write a note, to put it on the door, and decide that she was no longer a member of the church."
  576.
  577. "She did not come and stay. She did not stay in Orsona where it was safe. She choose to forgo her oaths, and instead stand with a Witch that manipulates people. As such, my focus may be placed elsewhere." Maybe it was just because he had never seen her, mixed in as well.
  578.
  579. "We also have no guarantee that if she was released Deixis would not go back to Duana like she has currently. So, given all this,"
  580.
  581. Romani turns, looking towards the Stellus.
  582.
  583. "I believe what is important is what we can do in the moment. We should file a report on Sanna, confirm she is not an occultist through testing." He nodded, then looked to Sanna herself.
  584.
  585. "A part of me is still wary she might be a Witch as well. But I believe that the occult test should be enough, and if she is innocent, soothing. After that, we should keep her in Orsona for at least a year. If nothing else, to at least make sure the Witch does not try to contact her in Orsona. They do not sound particularly close, but there is a chance they could be lurking in our midst."
  586.
  587. "This is what I advise."
  588. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  589. [03:51] Opinions were to be listened to and properly thought over, information soaked into his mind and organized as his eyes continued to shift between those within the room that had spoken.
  590.
  591. "You should of told me at the start, and not when you believed everything had gone according to plan. Because clearly it hasn't. There would of been no need for you to infiltrate Theria…"
  592.
  593. "Deixis..."
  594.
  595. Another matter, their note of deciding to leave the Faith was one he had read before, words imprinted within his mind as he idly looked across the text, already knowing how the letter went.
  596.
  597. Folded, and passed along to any that wished to read it he turned his gaze onto Romani as the Bishop spoke. A nod soon following when talk of tests proceeding.
  598.
  599. "With such close contact with a witch, and a known occultist who's attempting to teach other's their depraved ways, you'll have to be searched for any taint within your magical circuits."
  600.
  601. "Witchcraft, shall not be looked for at this time."
  602.
  603. A potential search in the future if it was revealed that Sanna held occultic magic left untold as he stared across towards the woman. Truthfully, he could only hope she didn't hold such a magic, for the Stellus didn't have the heart to proceed with another ritual.
  604.
  605. Emil's screams were enough, and he was too exhausted to partake in another as the lead. A soft hum sounded out form Pericles's lips as thought further on the matter, index-finger seemingly never stopping in its soft tapping.
  606.
  607. Another guest the church would hold.
  608.
  609. "Del. You'll be the one in charge of looking after Sanna, please pass the remote to her Emil. The King will also be informed about the recent matters involving Duana and Sanna's stay."
  610.
  611. Hopefully Del's involvement with watching over Sanna would offer the now guest of the Faith some sense of safety, a companion to speak to in the times ahead.
  612.
  613. And then onto Emil his eyes moved, more words to be spoke towards the investigating Deacon as he stared for a moment in silence. His thoughts a whirl, truly the man had caused a storm.
  614.
  615. "You were rash, and I can understand why with your invested emotions involving Deixis's leaving of the church. But she too should of spoken to us about matters, waited for someone to be around to listen to her worries."
  616.
  617. "Was anyone else involved in your kidnapping of Sanna?"
  618. (Pericles Vitalis)
  619. [03:53] "A year?!" Her heart nearly shattered. She knew no one here, she'd be alone again. Just like when she first got to Theria. She wouldn't be able to see Cymbal, Duana, Cayden or any of her family. Except maybe Grey and her extended family. She -hated- Osrona, it just reminded her of family she no longer had. Who'd abandoned her. In the pit of her stomach she felt her fury boiling, threatening to rise but with the collar on it was manageable. She'd had practice. Getting angry wouldn't help her here.
  620.
  621. "I'd be homeless, I'd be unable to see anyone I care about. I'd rather any other punishment, even death is more merciful than the loneliness you'll sentence me to. I won't be able to go back to Theria anyway. I don't know where I could go or stay. Put me through any test you want. Occult, witchcraft, I'll take them all but, keeping me here is a worse punishment than any pain." There was still bitterness there, despite her best intentions.
  622.
  623. "Please...please don't lock me in another cage."
  624.
  625. With her outburst calmed she looked back to Pericles.
  626.
  627. "In the act of it? No. Edelaide....sorry I don't know her last name kept watch over me but she was kind. I wouldn't want her punished."
  628. (Sanna Arborea)
  629. [04:01] Del listened, but the truly reacted at Sanna's shock. They turned to the woman quickly and shook her head. A cage? Absolutely not. The Priest did their best to calm her in this moment. Two dainty hands very gently reached out to pat her arms.
  630.
  631. "Woah, woah, woah. You will not be homeless, Sanna. Not under my watch either. Don't panic, please... It is just to be sure and... I've heard only parts of this 'test' and I'd rather you not go through that pain..."
  632.
  633. Their brows knit together, lips softly curling downward into a slight frown.
  634.
  635. "We wouldn't put you through that. I will offer you my home if you'd feel at ease with that. Food, whatever you need... It pains me that you have to go through this- Truly. Even seeing you at their Church..."
  636.
  637. Attention clearly shifted entirely.
  638.
  639. "It's just to be cautious, okay..? Don't panic please, Sanna... No one of the Church would leave you in such a state..."
  640. (Del mer Joyau)
  641. [04:12] "She wouldn't turn back to Duana, otherwise she wouldn't have told me Romani. She wouldn't turn to the side of the witch's, she's not like that. She was scared that they'd send people after her, scared that she'd be killed."
  642.
  643. Fists clenched at the accusation, gritted teeth indicated the control it took not to shout. The suspicion assigned to her was completely unwarranted in his eyes. With his statement made, he snapped back to Pericles to address him. Once more, their opinions had conflicted.
  644.
  645. "And then what? After I tell you, what would you have done? Gathered the Keepers and marched to Theria? To start another war with them after they're making progress towards a peaceful resolution? They're abiding by our demands, no blood needed to be shed."
  646.
  647. To him, everything up until this point had gone flawlessly. One crucial mistake was the root of all of this. Reentering Osrona without veiling himself within his robes had caused everything.
  648.
  649. When ordered to relinquish his possession of the remote, he looks to Del. His treatment of Sanna in accordance to what he wished.
  650.
  651. "We're not locking her up, we can't. Test her here and now.. and let me trade her for Deixis. We're running out of time. Once news spreads of this they might hurt her."
  652. (Emil Rousseau)
  653. [04:17] A nod was made towards the Stellus. The test of Witchdom had been performed by him, and thus, the Bishop felt it was only right that he take initiative for the other test. The holy test was an easier one, raising a hand up, and a spell of mending lightly filling the air. One to dull pain, or do nothing if the target was in perfect condition, but if she were an occultist, she would feel the pain.
  654.
  655. "Commencing the testing."
  656.
  657. "And I can understand you not desiring to be in a city you know little about. However, rest assured, you will not be lonely. You will be free to wander Orsona, not locked in a cage. Cymbal and Cayden already spoke of coming to see the church more when I parted with them on the bridge, so it should be fine."
  658.
  659. "As Del assures, you will not be homeless." He nodded. "But this is important."
  660.
  661. "You have been friends with a Witch. Even if not one, yourself, there is a chance she has manipuated you, so time away from anywhere she might be, as well as any sightings from her being reported is a good thing. Then, after a year of rehabilitation has passed, you can return to normal society."
  662.
  663. "It is not a cage. You will still see the endless blue sky." He assured.
  664.
  665. The testing, by now, would have finished, and Romani would let his hand fall to the side. Instead, he would turn to Emil, looking towards him.
  666.
  667. "Is she in an anti-magic collar, Deixis? If she is not, she can run at any time. If she is, she choose to allow them to put it on her, she came back to this Church, and then choose to ran away. You say she would not turn back to Duana, but I want proof. Because right now?"
  668.
  669. "I see two girls, manipulated by the Witches. Both who see her as a friend, and only one that I know for certain we can keep from falling back to her clutches. And you want to trade her life, for one who might end up running back to Duana."
  670.
  671. "How do you know that, if brought back, Deixis would not return to that fear, return to the fear that she would be killed and flee to the Witch again because of it?"
  672. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  673. [04:26] Replies to others would be given after the testing had been completed by Romani. Pericles's gaze never left the duo as holy magic pervaded throughout Sanna's system in search of a taint. And when no pain, no discomfort seemed to come he let out a small sigh of relief at the results of the search.
  674.
  675. "Romani is correct. A year away from any influences that could of been messing with your mind Sanna, it'll allow you a sense of comfort I would hope, you will not be denied the chance to visit friends that come into the city."
  676.
  677. Towards Emil his attention turned, his head soon shook to the side as the man spoke.
  678.
  679. "Theria has been given a grace period to give up their occultists and Duana. If the demand isn't met, the alliance will march again. The war hasn't truly ended yet Emil."
  680.
  681. "And.."
  682.
  683. Words trailed, the Deacon was once again being rash within the eyes of the Stellus. Or perhaps blinded by his loyalty towards Deixis as he sighed, standing up from his seated position to speak towards the man.
  684.
  685. "Sanna will not be welcomed into their arms if we were to trade her, if a trade would even be accepted. Duana would most likely believe her to be a 'traitor', leaking information to the Faith."
  686.
  687. The consequences of such would be left unspoken, for it was rather easy to come to a conclusion of what would happen to the woman that had been deemed a traitor.
  688.
  689. "You're being rash again and not properly thinking about the situation. Deixis was perhaps scared, but why would she leave the safety of the church and those that would offer her protection to run towards her current imprisonment."
  690.
  691. A tricky situation to be thought upon. Romani's words about a collar did cause the Stellus's eyebrow to rise in question towards Emil, a few lasting words leaving the man's lips.
  692.
  693. "If she's notcollared, then does she truly wish to return home?"
  694. (Pericles Vitalis)
  695. [04:26] She felt the presence of holy magic. The warmth of it. She wasn't injured in any way it could heal, though her feet hurt a bit less after all the walking.
  696.
  697. In response to the other statements she said nothing, merely looking at the floor, trembling, hand clenching the amulet tightly. She'd lived fulfilling her duty first, and then if allowed, pursuing her personal happiness. She'd finally achieved both. And now they were both being ripped from her for a year.
  698.
  699. If there was anything she had learned today it was how monstrous Osrona was. She'd get to live the next year seeing the streets her family had abandoned her with. How they didn't want her happiness, they wanted to control her. Everything she'd believed since leaving was confirmed. Osrona truly was just a prison that she'd been sentenced to. One where she could wander the grounds but not leave the walls. A fancy prison then.
  700.
  701. Before she'd mentioned her disdain and dislike for the church and Osrona in private. But now it was hate.
  702.
  703.
  704. (Sanna Arborea)
  705. [04:48] "Do you truly think they would hand over the witches? I heard the announcements they made first hand. They told all the witches to leave, they did not intend on handing them over to us. They would've relocated to an area that we do not know, they would've taken Deixis there."
  706.
  707. To him? He caught them at an opportune moment. A time where Sanna would be guillible enough to believe his lies, a moment just before the disappearance of Duana. But problems continued to arise as more questions are asked. Ones that he didn't have a concrete answer to.
  708.
  709. "I don't know. She didn't tell me and I didn't check. And the message? Someone else could've delivered it for her. But I trust her. She didn't know what she was doing until it was too late, she befriended the wrong person and she asked me for help. She didn't want any of this, unlike her."
  710.
  711. The Deacon extended a finger to Sanna. The comparison made by Romani was flawed to its core, it was an opportunity to strike back with a rebuttal.
  712.
  713.
  714. "She willingly apprenticed under Duana knowing that she was a witch. She deceived Deixis knowing what would happen. Yet, you're trusting that she won't return to her mentor because we collared her here for a year? She's far more likely to return to that witch than Deixis is. That witch values her apprentice more than she does Deixis. We are the opposite; a trade will only benefit both sides. If you're really that paranoid, we can do the exact same thing and collar Deixis. I will watch and rehabilitate her."
  715. (Emil Rousseau)
  716. [05:00] "Must I add that she's an occultist. It is in her nature to hurt and shed blood. I don't know what other way to express that..."
  717.
  718. The Priest looked at Sanna with a sad gaze.
  719.
  720. "I've encountered two witches. Both have stolen from me. Duana may be young, but at some point her hands with will more blood than hands."
  721.
  722. To paint their words in such a way. It's purposeful, each one. Carefully chosen so that Sanna could really see the weight of her situation.
  723.
  724. They sighed lightly...
  725. (Del mer Joyau)
  726. [05:01] "Maybe you are right, Emil. Maybe after a year, she would not break from the Witch's influence. However, a year away from Duana, combined with Theria also cleansing itself of Witches? We let them know that Sanna is one of the Witch's students and ensure they look after her. If she returns to Duana after that,"
  727.
  728. Romani frowns. "I want to save as many people as I can. But I am aware that not everyone is capable of saving. And it is better to ensure less people die then more."
  729.
  730. He turned, fully facing Emil. "We should see if we can locate where the Witches are hiding. And having not seen Deixis confirmed to be collared or not does make it more difficult. We need to confirm things, one way or another."
  731.
  732. Romani would ultimately shook his head.
  733.
  734. "That is what I see, right now. I see a chance to try to free someone from corruption, and I want to take it. If unsavable, we will find out. If Deixis can b saved? Wewill also find out."
  735.
  736. "But the most important thing is we have to try, not just give up, or try to trade life for life."
  737.
  738. ONLY ROMANI THEN STARED AT DEL, WITH A BIG FROWNY FACE.
  739.
  740. "Who was the second Witch you encountered, and why have you not told me?"
  741. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  742. [05:01] Del mer Joyau says, "--"
  743. [05:01] {Item} You picked up First Light Sigil. Dropped by Bella Senatus. .
  744. [05:01] Del mer Joyau says, "Don't.. yell at me, Romani..."
  745. [05:01] Del looks to the side.
  746. (Del mer Joyau)
  747. [05:01] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I am not yelling."
  748. [05:02] Del mer Joyau says, "It feels like you are..."
  749. [05:03] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Del, have I ever yelled at you? I am not going to start now."
  750. [05:03] Romani 'S THOUGHT BUBBLES TELL A DIFFERNT STORY, AS ROMANI CONTINUES TO FROWN.
  751. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  752. [05:05] Del FEELS HIS THOUGHTS.
  753. (Del mer Joyau)
  754. [05:05] Del mer Joyau asks, "Later... okay..?"
  755. [05:06] Pericles's head shook.
  756.
  757. "Then the witches exiled will not be behind walls, but instead out in the open for us to look for. They'll not stay quiet for long Emil, especially after recent chaos."
  758.
  759. And then it only brought talk of the darkness underneath Illburg, and the church's potential participation in helping those within the desert with the trouble underneath their feet.
  760.
  761. More matters to think on for the Stellus.
  762.
  763. "Deixis is indeed giving, her heart open to all. Unfortunately, her giving nature has led to her being led astray and used. The matter of Sanna's worth towards Duana. I doubt very much so, she has plenty of willing students within the mountain."
  764.
  765. A magic like occult within a mercenary city such as Theria, how could she not have people eagerly awaiting her lessons. Pericles's face took on a frown, brow furrowing in thought for a moment.
  766.
  767. Shackles to be placed on Deixis potentially.
  768.
  769. "The meeting will end here, we all have plenty to think on. The matter of Deixis's return to the Shimmering City will be spoken of later, and plans made. The King will also be informed so other's aren't left in the dark about recent matters."
  770. (Pericles Vitalis)
  771. [05:07] She finally spoke, tugging at the collar.
  772.
  773. "Can....someone take this off?"
  774. (Sanna Arborea)
  775. [05:08] Pericles Vitalis says, "The collar remains."
  776. [05:08] Romani cos Montclaire says, "The collar will remain afixed while you are here. My apologies."
  777. [05:08] Sanna clenches her hands but says nothing, merely nodding
  778. (Sanna Arborea)
  779. [05:09] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Del?"
  780. [05:09] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Where did you find her?"
  781. [05:09] Del mer Joyau says, "Edelaide."
  782. [05:09] Emil Rousseau asks, "Edelaide told you of her?"
  783. [05:10] Romani cos Montclaire says, "She was here earlier, looking for the remote."
  784. [05:10] Pericles Vitalis says, "Edelaide, right. I almost forgot about her."
  785. [05:10] Emil Rousseau says, "Rhetorical."
  786. [05:10] Emil Rousseau says, "Of course she did."
  787. [05:10] Emil Rousseau says, "The dumb ass."
  788. [05:10] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I was going to bring that up but,"
  789. [05:10] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Fire. And Brimstone."
  790. [05:10] Emil Rousseau says, "She has no involvement in this."
  791. [05:11] Del mer Joyau asks, "How is she dumb?"
  792. [05:11] Emil Rousseau says, "I had her make the collar, and to keep Sanna company while I left to visit Pericles."
  793. [05:11] Emil Rousseau says, "Del."
  794. [05:11] Del mer Joyau says, "She's done what you should have. Informing the Church."
  795. [05:11] Sanna Arborea says, "And said she was the only reason I wasn't screaming."
  796. [05:11] Emil Rousseau asks, "Must I remind you what she did to her husband?"
  797. [05:12] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "I do think that she is good hearted, Ede. And what did she do?"
  798. [05:12] Emil Rousseau says, "Accidentally gave him spiked food."
  799. [05:12] Pericles Vitalis says, "..."
  800. [05:12] Romani cos Montclaire says, ". . ."
  801. [05:12] Pericles Vitalis says, "I heard she has done that before."
  802. [05:12] Emil Rousseau says, "Yes."
  803. [05:12] Romani cos Montclaire says, ". . . . . ."
  804. [05:12] Pericles Vitalis says, "'Accidently'. To another person."
  805. [05:12] Emil Rousseau says, "She is in fact dumb."
  806. [05:12] Del mer Joyau asks, "But she did inform the Clergy. Did you?"
  807. [05:12] Romani cos Montclaire says, ". . . . . . . . . ."
  808. [05:12] Emil Rousseau says, "I was about to."
  809. [05:12] Emil Rousseau asks, "And I just did, did I not?"
  810. [05:12] Del mer Joyau says, "You should have from the beginning, Emil..."
  811. [05:12] Emil Rousseau says, "I disagree."
  812. [05:13] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Del. Do be careful with the remote. People may attempt to attack you for it."
  813. [05:13] Del mer Joyau asks, "People-?"
  814. [05:13] Del mer Joyau says, "Mh..."
  815. [05:13] Pericles Vitalis says, "Well, tell people I have the remote if needed."
  816. [05:13] Del mer Joyau says, "Mhm..."
  817. [05:14] Del mer Joyau asks, "Well, the remote then...?"
  818. [05:14] Emil Rousseau says, "I'm keeping it."
  819. [05:15] Del mer Joyau says, "Emil..."
  820. [05:22] "I'm keeping the remote."
  821.
  822. Stated firmly, eyes shooting bullets at Sanna. As he said to her before, she was worthless to him, nothing more than a chip to be bargained. Yet, he wanted to keep her in his possession. He wanted to track her every move, to find any excuse to trade her away.
  823.
  824. "I don't trust anyone else with it. If she tries to take a single step outside of the walls? I'll be the first one to find out."
  825.
  826. He wouldn't abide if anyone objected to such. He was that one that detained Sanna, he was the one that'd keep her remote. Stepping forward to Pericles, an arm would be stretched.
  827.
  828. "I'm leaving, give me my weapons back. You'd better get her back. If she dies her blood is on your hands."
  829. (Emil Rousseau)
  830. [05:24] Pericles Vitalis says, "You're doing it again."
  831. [05:24] Del's attention shifted to Emil. Even now he feels that tackling this alone is the best option. He continues to refuse the help of the Clergy.
  832.
  833. "Blood will also be on your hands. Things could have gone smoothly were you to inform the Clergy- Is there distrust? Are you doubting us?"
  834. (Del mer Joyau)
  835. [05:24] Pericles Vitalis says, "Holding no trust in those around you, the remote Emil."
  836. [05:24] Pericles Vitalis says, "A step towards opening your eyes and realising that you do not shoulder everything alone. "
  837. [05:24] Del mer Joyau says, "Shoulders break, Emil."
  838. [05:24] Romani frowns a little at the situation.
  839. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  840. [05:24] Del sighs lightly.
  841. (Del mer Joyau)
  842. [05:25] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I am reminded of a time when I was a Deacon."
  843. [05:25] Romani cos Montclaire says, "When Inante ordered a remote from myself."
  844. [05:25] Emil Rousseau says, "I'm not handing it over."
  845. [05:26] Del mer Joyau says, "Mhh.."
  846. [05:26] Del mer Joyau says, "Then, Emil."
  847. [05:26] Del mer Joyau asks, "Will you keep us informed?"
  848. [05:26] Emil Rousseau says, "I'm keeping it until Deixis is freed."
  849. [05:26] Emil Rousseau says, "That's that."
  850. [05:26] Emil Rousseau says, "There's nothing else to inform you."
  851. [05:26] Sanna shivers as he refuses to give it over. She could practically see the sword of damocles
  852. (Sanna Arborea)
  853. [05:27] Pericles Vitalis says, "Why do most members of the church have to be so set in their ways.."
  854. [05:27] Emil Rousseau says, "I'm trusting that you'll be able to get her back."
  855. [05:27] Pericles Vitalis says, "Emil. "
  856. [05:27] Emil Rousseau says, "No."
  857. [05:27] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "And you will not try to trade life for life?"
  858. [05:27] Pericles Vitalis says, "You're not trusting anyone but yourself."
  859. [05:27] Emil Rousseau says, "That's right."
  860. [05:27] Emil Rousseau says, "I'm not."
  861. [05:27] Pericles Vitalis says, "Indeed, after all. This whole situatino could of been properly solved if you had trusted us at the start."
  862. [05:28] Pericles Vitalis says, "Instead, we now have someone in a collar, and Deixis's situation unknown to us."
  863. [05:28] Emil Rousseau says, "The situation would've been properly solved if none of you got involved."
  864. [05:28] Pericles Vitalis says, "Oh? "
  865. [05:28] Del inhales a bit heavily.
  866. (Del mer Joyau)
  867. [05:28] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Abrasive."
  868. [05:29] Del mer Joyau asks, "I'm feeling spent. Sanna, would you like some tea?"
  869. [05:29] Sanna shakes her head
  870. (Sanna Arborea)
  871. [05:29] Emil Rousseau asks, "Yes. Would you like me to restate this?"
  872. [05:29] Del mer Joyau asks, "Some fresh air, perhaps?"
  873. [05:29] Sanna shakes her head again
  874. (Sanna Arborea)
  875. [05:29] Del mer Joyau says, "I'd like some air."
  876. [05:29] Pericles Vitalis says, "If we didn't get involved, I wonder how it would of went."
  877. [05:30] Sanna Arborea says, "He has possession of my staff. I'd like it back in a year."
  878. [05:30] Pericles Vitalis says, "You would of been accused of occultism it seems. And the situation would of only delved further because you decided to withhold all your little adventures as another person."
  879. [05:30] Emil Rousseau says, "I've already been accused of it."
  880. [05:30] Emil Rousseau asks, "Must I remind you of what you just did to me?"
  881. [05:30] Pericles Vitalis says, "Indeed, something I would of preferred not to even do. I recall you willingly offering the idea."
  882. [05:30] Emil Rousseau says, "I know you're growing old, Pericles, but surely your memory hasn't deteriorated that harshy."
  883. [05:30] Romani would walk forwards, going to the front of Emil. The Sun and Moon eyes would stare towards the Deacon in silence for a few seconds.
  884.
  885. "If we did not get involved, it would have likely ended up in the hands of Bella to judge how things go. I am not certain how that would have gone myself."
  886.
  887. "That said? I know the pain of wanting to hold a remote after capturing someone. And I hold no intention to stop or take it, in this case."
  888.
  889. He nodded. "Do not trade life for life. And are you guys going to try to take it from him? Stellus? Del?"
  890. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  891. [05:39] The matter only further took the route of stress, Pericles's eyes moved between the group, lips pursing as he decided further on the matter that was to be put to rest.
  892.
  893. So he could finally head out.
  894.
  895. "Do not do anything further under your persona of 'Abel'. You're acting more like a lone wolf who can't control himself than a member of the Faith..."
  896.
  897. "You've made it abundantly clear you hold no trust towards those that have welcomed you, those that would so willingly support you in your time of need Emil."
  898.
  899. A remote, Pericles's hand cut through the air in a dissmisve manner.
  900.
  901. "Keep the remote if it allows you to rest at night, but. You'll hold full responsibility of Sanna's stay within the walls of Osrona as Del looks over her. She's to stay within the city for a year as matters are looked over. Not to be used as some sort of bargaining chip between Duana and yourself."
  902.
  903. Pericles's head shook to the side, steps leading him closer towards the group as he prepared to depart, final words exchanged between the group before he truly left the room.
  904.
  905. "Deixis's matter could of been resolved cleaner, and in a more efficient way if you actually asked for help, if you shared the knowledge you held. Stop acting out like a petulant child when things do not go your way."
  906.
  907. "You hold good intentions, but. All you've done is push people away from you and further increase the risk that Deixis's apparent imprisonment holds to her."
  908. (Pericles Vitalis)
  909. [05:54] "You're right. I did what needed to be done, I'm the only reason we have another life to 'rehabilitate'. I've trusted you with far more than I should've. You decided to trust that Teraphim and subjected me to that test before even listening to what I had to say."
  910.
  911. A hand worked to block Pericles exit, still lacking his weapon.
  912.
  913. "The rifle is mine, the staff is hers. And what I've done here is the only thing that has increased Deixis's risk. Allowing you to keep this girl here only gives Duana more time to toy with her. Deciding to launch an attack on the witch's hideout puts her in more harm."
  914.
  915. If Khaine was returned to him, he'd snag it, returning it to its holster strapped around his shoulders. Steps would be taken towards the exit, not speaking anything nor listening to anything else.
  916. (Emil Rousseau)
  917. [05:59] Romani would shake his head.
  918.
  919. "I am trusting you, Emil. And I do not believe that all this here has increased Deixis risk by itself. I believe that doing with without assistance increases the risk and continues to. All the same, I am trusting you with the task."
  920.
  921. "Also, please do not get on Pericles about forgetting things if you forget who you hand your weapons too."
  922.
  923. Romani would say, shaking his head and holding out both the rifle and staff.
  924. (Romani cos Montclaire)
