  1. Name: ARIA-001, or just Allan. Designation an acronym for Acoustically Reconstructed Intuitive Automaton.
  2.
  3. Age: Several eons since creation, three years since actual activation and acquirement of true sentience. Appears to be a boy of about 12.
  4.
  5. Sex: Though he is technically genderless, he has most of the secondary sexual characteristics of a male human, and will thus be referred to by male pronouns.
  6.
  7. Appearance: http://safebooru.org//samples/935/sample_1f13bdc7da3a9443a3f32ed27cb65ae0e134277f.jpg?940923 "My world is one of music. There is no color to me that cannot be reinterpreted as a tone, no taste that I cannot turn into a tune or a symphony, no sight that I can't replicate with a single instrument. Won't you come with me to hear the sunrise dawning?"

  9. Powers/Tech:
  10.
  11. Sentient Automaton: As the magnum opus of his world's greatest roboticist, ARIA is a nigh-on-perfect replica of a real human - he can think, learn, and experience emotion, just like any other individual. However, while he is capable of absorbing anything sound-related with incredible ease, other subjects that deviate from his primary purpose are rather counter-intuitive to him, and he will have to spend much longer at taking to them - at the start of the RP, he has very little in the way of actual life skills, having been 'awake' for a grand total of three years.
  12.
  13. Harmony Core: A circular, neon-blue, keyboard-like object created by ARIA's designer to be his power source, the Harmony Core represents a revolution in energy production - created from the remains of an otherworldy meteorite and super-advanced technology, it is able to convert any sound, no matter how small, into a stored, semi-mystical form, dubbed Harmony by its creator. This conversion process is instant, and the net energy loss is a tiny 1% - hence, it allows its user to operate with an almost lossless efficiency, as long as there is sound in the immediate vicinity.
  14.
  15. Manipulation of Harmony/Superlative Hearing/Perfect Playback: ARIA was created specifically to run on Harmony, and to use its power to reproduce a variety of effects. Hence, he can temporarily manifest any instrument he has stored in his database from solid Harmony, and he can perfectly record, replay, and mimic virtually any sound in his hearing range, which has the potential to span a planet or more. Likewise, he can also amplify the sounds he replays to very high levels, enough to cause physical damage - however, this will hurt his own body, and he dislikes having to do it intensely. A safety feature in his central processing unit automatically filters the audio input, keeping him from being overwhelmed - however, if he puts his mind to it, he can hear almost anything. This facility extends to musical instruments - he can play anything with superlative skill, and his own singing voice, while rarely heard, is impossibly beautiful.
  16.
  17. Interpretation of Sound: ARIA-001, being a completely sound-based system, can see the world through sound - he is
  18. able to view noises as colors and shapes, and can feel them as sensations and tastes when he chooses to. Through this, he can conceptualize audio like no-one else can, and beautiful music is incredibly pleasant - however, harsh, discordant noises can actually cause him physical hurt, and he is almost fearful of them.
  19.
  20. Awakened Symphony: While ARIA is actually extremely fragile, when he stores enough Harmony he can activate a winged form known as his Awakened Symphony, where wings formed from a variety of neon-blue musical instruments fan out from his back and around the Harmony Core, which removes itself from his endoskeleton to float behind him. In this form, he operates at maximum capacity, and can interpret sounds to grant him power. He can actually manipulate the audio he sees like they were physical entities - for example, he can reflect the sound of a gunshot by redirecting it and shaping it into a bullet, or he can use it to give him a sudden burst of speed. Music gives him the most energy, and can be interpreted to perform many feats, depending on the song. However, harsh sounds still hurt him considerably, and his Harmony reserves do not automatically replenish when using this combat form - leaving him in danger of going into hibernation mode whenever he uses it.
  21.
  22. Muse Arm: Instead of a normal limb, ARIA's entire right forearm has the appearace of a navy-blue, glowing robotic arm, with thick, visible wires that plug into his back and shoulder, leading directly to the Harmony Core. There is a speaker embedded in his hand - this acts as his primary playback device for non-vocal noises, and he can use it to reproduce sounds with 100% fidelity. While not overly durable, it is stronger than most of the endoskeleton that covers the rest of his body, mainly by virtue of being thicker and made of solid metal. If the cords connecting the Muse Arm to the Harmony Core are severed, ARIA will experience severe pain, followed by a potentially deadly leakage of Harmony.
  23.
  24. Faction: Possibly Red Pirates, possibly not!Imperium. Who knows?
  25.
  26. World of Origin: His own world, Euterpe-19.
  27.
  28. Personality: Almost completely dedicated to music, ARIA's sole purpose ever since acquiring sentience has been the pursuit of what he dubs the Surpassing Melody, the most beautiful tune in the multiverse. Despite all his efforts, he has not managed to find the spark that will help him compose it - and so he continues to search, interpreting new sights and experiences as music in an attempt to find it. Because of this robotic single-mindedness, he is actually almost naively innocent in matters of actual living and human emotion, though he tends to be rather enigmatic at first glance. His love of music and unique perception of the world can come off as rather eccentric at times - this is not helped much by his tendency to zone out at a particularly enchanting tune or sensation. However, the beauty of music is something he revels in, and even his voice sounds like an angelic song, modulated somewhat to loosely fit normal vocal patterns. He detests harsh noises, as much as he hates violence, anger and wanton destruction - he claims that the sound they create actually hurts him, which it well might. As of yet, he has not seen the need for any companionship - his music is enough, he says, and will be until he finds the Surpassing Melody.

  31. Bio: Euterpe-19 was a planet of musicians. Constant innovation and technical excellence made it the most renowned center of fine culture in its galaxy, and its entire society revolved around musical ability, which also took their acoustic sciences to the highest possible level. One of their most brilliant musician-scientists, however, became singularly obsessed with finding the most perfect tune in the Universe - so much that he began to deem everything on his world as defiled and not worthy of existence because they fell short of that standard. Dubbing it the Surpassing Melody, he began two constructions that would carry on his search for it after his death - first, the most advanced automaton possible with Euterpe's level of technology, designed to be the perfect 'human orchestra' and given sentience - because music could not exist without a soul, he reasoned. Secondly, a doomsday device that he would use to destroy all life on the planet - a certain tone that would cause a cataclysmic series of volcanic eruptions, obliterating the impure things in the way of his quest. Both were made possible by a strange, neon-blue meteorite he discovered one day, capable of converting any sound into a quasi-mystical substance he called Harmony. After extensive research and twenty years of development, testing, and alterations, he set his plan into motion. He would destroy his world, and use a wormhole generator to hurl his creation into deep space, where it would lie dormant in a pod until it landed on a suitable planet and generated enough Harmony to awaken. Then, it would follow his directions, and continue his search for the Surpassing Melody. Both were successful. ARIA, his greatest creation, remained in dreaming hibernation for millennia in the vacuum of space, wrapped in a nearly-impervious cocoon. Euterpe-19 was wiped of life in ten minutes. And so it continued, until ARIA crash-landed on a certain planet in the year 2009, two million years after he had set out... a world known as the World of Lilim.
