Background: Her father is the leader of their clan. He had an arranged marriage with Kanya’s mum. He never loved her but she always love him. This led to him abusing her mother. No one knew and if they did, they had no power to stop it because he was the clan leader. Her brother didn’t know but one day Kanya caught her dad beating up her mum. She tried to stop him but just got beaten up instead. Soon her dad started beating up both of them and it got worse. When her brother left, it went from slight bruises and hand prints to broken bones and twisted ankles. Then when her mother died, she felt so guilty and ran away. One reason she hates people finding out about her past is that she’s ashamed of what they say about how she couldn’t protect her mum, because she wasn’t the fighter she is today.

Clan: Ogden. They are a clan of controlling the elements and amazing fighters. They can appear as mostly bossy but are great leaders. They never give up and are constantly trying to find another way around. They are prone to jumping to conclusions and sometimes surprise others with either they raw or hidden emotions. They look up to and respect the clan leader (Kanya’s father) and respect the late loving mother of the clan. They believe that their mother died of weakness and had a stroke since she’d shown signs of weakness and illness but they were actually from the bruises.
