- Name yourself 'A'

NEW BARK TOWN
- Pick Fennekin (left)
- Reset for 10 DEF/12 SPA/12 SPD. Can try taking 9 DEF as long as 12 SPD.
- Remove Berry

CHERRYGROVE/MR. POKEMON
- Kill a L3 Pidove, Patrat, or Bunnelby before Cherrygrove (favor the latter if bad def).
- Kill a Pansage/pour/sear or Scatterbug BEFORE Mr. Pokémon (2 if no Pidove/Patrat/Bunnelby) and note stats:
	> DEF: 9 -> 11 = 9DV (gets the lower rolls on Abe and Rod); 9 -> 9 = 0DV = RESET (dead to Falkner)
	> SPC: 13/13 = 10/11DV, 14/13 = 12/13DV, 14/14 = 14/15DV
	> SPD: 13 ties Froakie, 14 outspeeds (14/15DV)
- Pick up the hidden potion
- Head back and pick up Berry
- Rival 1:
	> L5 Froakie: Tail Whip, Tackle spam
- Note stats:
	> DEF: 10 -> 10 = 1DV = RESET (dead to Falkner)
	> SPD: 13 = 0-2DV, ties Falkner's Tranquill (bad)
- Return to Professor Elm, and head back out again

TO VIOLET
- Do not catch or kill any encounter on R29
- Catch a Panpour on R30 (Scratch; ~42-44% in Poké Ball)
- Youngster Mikey: Emberx1-2, Emberx2 (Pidove is ~46% OHKO), then note stats:
	> 12 -> 14 DEF = 15DV; 11 -> 11 DEF = 2DV = RESET (dead to Falkner)
- Heal to full with spare Berry, equip the other, and call Mom to stop saving money
- Get field potion by Dark Cave entrance
- Get Bitter Berry
- Can KO Pansage or Scatterbug for extra exp (recommended for Well)

VIOLET GYM
- Birdkeeper Abe: Emberx3-4
	> Tackle: 7-9, except 15DV which gets 5-7
	> Quick Attack: 7-9, except 0-8DV which gets 8-10
- Note stats on leveling to L9:
	> DEF: Heal <25 if 12 or 13, heal <21 if 14 or 15
	> SPC: If you didn't reset 13/13 SPA/SPD, 18/17 = 10DV, 18/18 = 11DV
- Birdkeeper Rod: Emberx2-3, Emberx2-3
	> Need a 1/39 to 2HKO without L10
	> L10 SPC: if 12/13DV, 20/19 = 12DV, 20/20 = 13DV
- Heal with potion before Falkner
- Leader Falkner: Emberx2, Emberx3
	> Fletchling QA does 5-6 (5-7 on 13 DEF = 0-2DV)
	> Tranquill Gust does 8-10 (10-12 on 13 DEF = 0-2DV)
- Head to Pokémon Center, heal, get the egg, head south

UNION CAVE
- Get the Przcureberry
- Kill Blitzle/Skiddo if you encounter one (Blitzle QA does 2)
- Get the repel
- Say no to the Stunfisktail guy
- Use the repel before Union Cave
- Consider saving before spinner (reset if you hit him)
- Anthony is an auto-reset too

AZALEA TOWN/STUNFISK WELL
- Talk to Kurt
- Shop: 4 super potions/4 repels if 1 potion left, otherwise 2 potions/3 super potions/4 repels
- Get the Full Heal and enter the well
- Grunt M: Emberx2, Emberx3
- Grunt F: Emberx3, Emberx2-3
	> Tied with Purrloin on 4-7DV at L12, 0-2DV at L13; outsped on 0-3DV at L12
	> Purrloin FA does 11-13 with <18 DEF, 10-12 with 18+
- Pick up super potion
- Heal as necessary (preferably with the spare potion), either before next grunt or the last one
- Grunt M: Emberx2, Emberx2 (Solosis is ~90% 2HKO)
- Make sure you're
- Grunt M: Emberx4 (he destroys you so start with over 50% HP)
- Enter the gym
- Twins: Emberx2
- Take the left path
- Josh: Ember+Scratch
- In Benny pause buffer, heal if necessary and equip Przcureberry
- Bugsy:
	> Ember Swadloon
	> Ember Vivillonx2-3
	> Ember Whirlipedex2
	> Teach Psybeam over Tail Whip
	> He can send out Whirlipede first, which is bad because he'll drop your SPA before Vivillon. Nothing you can do about this.
- Head out, and before Rival 2, heal to full (DON'T REPEL)
- Rival 2:
	> Sandile: Emberx2 (can consider switching out if SA)
	> Frogadier: PBx2, super potion, PB
	> Honedge: Ember
- Enter the forest

ILEX FOREST
- Walk 4 steps, then menu: heal to full, repel
- Get cut, teach to Panpour. Cut the tree and repel again when it wears off.
- Skip Headbutt
- Exit the forest. Repel should wear off on the last tile of grass before the Daycare.
- Yolo the two grass tiles before Goldenrod to avoid trainer

GOLDENROD CITY
- Department store:
	> 5F: Sell TM31, TM49; Buy TM41, TM48
	> 3F: Buy 1 X Speed, 1 X Special
- Get the bike. Menu outside: Teach Fire Punch over Scratch, reg+use the bike
- Do spinner hell, get Kenya, talk to the girl
- Early UG:
	> Donald: FPx2
	> Teru: FPx4
- Head to the gym
- Carrie: FPx2
- Whitney: X Speed, X Special, (heal to 27+ before Furfrou), FP, FPx2
- Exit the gym, get the Weed Spray, then head to the department store again
- Department store:
	> 3F: Sell TM45; Buy 2 X Specials, 1 X Accuracy
	> 2F: 1 super potion/1 Poké Doll
- Bike through spinner hell again
- Double deposit in house before weeds
- Menu right outside
	> Swap Braixen to slot 1
	> Teach Thunderpunch over Fire Spin
	> Use bike
- Spray the weeds and run from Sylveon
- Dodge Greg and enter Ecruteak

ECRUTEAK CITY
- Head right to Kimonos
- Order (from left): 4, 3, 1, 2
	> Cobalion: FP
	> Terrakion: PBx2
	> Virizion: FWx2
	> Heal before Keldeo if heavy damage from Terrakion
	> Keldeo: PBx2
- Get Surf, exit and menu:
	> Equip Bitter Berry
	> Heal to full
	> Use Bike
- Bike to Burned Tower (get hidden Hyper Potion if you used you just used your last super)

	> X Special (Mud Shot speed-fall is a death, but he should Swagger)

- Walk up stairs to trigger "dogs" cutscene, then use ER
- Bike to gym
- Ping: FW(+PB), PBx2, FWx3

	> Golett and Yamask are unfavorable ranges (maybe ~50% each)
- Heal to near full before Morty
- Morty:
	> Lampent: X Spec, X Acc, PBx2
	> Cofagrigus: FPx2

	> Gourgeist: FW
- Exit, and menu outside the gym:
	> Heal (if you have a healing item)
	> Repel
	> Use bike
- Bike west, dodge all spinners and fight the Poké Fan

- Shop: Buy 8-10 super potions, 9 super repels
- Enter the lighthouse
- Alfred: FP
- Heal before Preston if you're low on HP
- Preston: TP, PB+TP
- Connie: PB+FW
- Talk to Jasmine, get candy and menu:
	> Heal
	> Use a super repel
	> Candy to L30
	> Swap super repels to slot 1
	> Escape rope
- Bike west, get Strength in the house
- Menu before the water:
	> Teach Strength to Kenya
	> Teach Surf to Panpour
	> Use Surf from the Pokémon menu

- Head straight for Chuck's gym
