  1. I think this round basically has 3 things being contested.
  2.
  3. 1. Does Baymax fly, does he use this range well in combat
  4. 2. The actual "are Baymax and Banner peers, who wins" match
  5. 3. Fixit's shields, does he have them and are they good
  6.
  7. There's probably a bunch of other random stuff that could be talked about (when does Baymax hold back, can his scanners differentiate Fixit and Banner, would Banner get angry), but I don't think these are even a fifth as important as the above three arguments. It's just kind of taken as a given that Baymax and Banner will be fighting each other at some point, and r s' VIP exists to so little a degree that he's only mentioned by name once in the entire round. On this front, thank you to both participants for keeping this round relatively simple, especially right after judging Mik/Star lol.
  8.
  9. I'm going to start with #3 because I think it's the easiest one to address. Yes, the shields will be shared. r s makes the argument that Baymax will fly to Wolf's team before they can coordinate anything, but not only do I think "a minute" is a fairly long time regardless, Wolf addresses this argument in R1 via teleportation. r s says it goes unaddressed in his R2, but like, it was lol. This becomes very clear in Wolf's R2, at minimum.
  10.
  11. As far as "are they good" goes, I don't really know. I think the "localized earthquake" argument is obviously bad (me when I split the ground with my aftershocks in a weak non-stone busting way), but Wolf really doesn't show many feats for the shields, and I'm in the same boat as r s with regards to the scans showing Banner being hit by Savage. The fact they're green and floating is confusing, and they seem to be an obviously different model.
  12.
  13. Scanning through the RT, I figure Wolf focused on the particular Juggernaut scan because the counter the others would be "much of this is scaling from Hulks, but the shields are good specifically vs. Hulks", but that still leaves them in a weird spot even if the reasoning is understandable. I suppose the railgun scan is still there, and perhaps you could make some argument like "r s compared each party's striking to bullets, 72 mm rounds are obviously very good in that context", but this argument wasn't made, so, you know.
  14.
  15. For now, I'll just say that I think Fixit would *maybe* have good shielding, that he would be able to warp around to stay safe, and that his gun is probably good. But, mostly, I think the round is going to be about Banner and Baymax, and in that case ****I think Wolf wins****.
  16.
  17. To start, Baymax kind of obviously doesn't kite. r s talks about Baymax "fight[ing] by flying" in his R2, but I can't help but notice that the links following this are "Uses flight to dodge" and "Goes from the ground to flying", neither of which are "circles his opponent to dodge while pelting him with rocket fists".
  18.
  19. (Also, what? "Goes from the ground to flying"? Where else would he go to flying from?)
  20.
  21. To r s' credit, though, there is actually a scan here showing Baymax enacting the exact characterization argued. He links it in R1 as "flying and dodging", and it's a video that shows Baymax kiting, throwing 3 punches, and losing his hand on the 3rd after doing no damage with the first 2.
  22.
  23. In general, the fact that Baymax attacks through "rocket fists" is a really big problem. Not only does this make all of his striking feats much worse by default (rockets accelerate, meaning heavier hits are implicitly due to range), it also means that every single time Baymax attacks someone he has to retrieve his hand to do it again. Wolf brings this up in R2, and I don't really know how Baymax can account for this. Each punch is going to give Banner like, 50 meters of distance to react if he wants to land something heavy, and when (or if) it does land he has to take the same amount of time to fly his hand back, during which time he's an amputee.
  24.
  25. Furthermore, the nature of this as a mechanic basically just means that Baymax has no presented melee capabilities, and if he's brought into a slugging match he sorta just immediately loses. Given that one of r s' scans in the "ground to flying" section shows Baymax's flight being disabled by one hit from some leaping plant creature, I don't think this is unlikely lol.
  26.
  27. Essentially, though, I don't think Banner and Baymax are on even footing. Even if their feats were of equal caliber to one another (and I think Hulk's are better), Baymax is doing this by "launching his fist 100 feet away" instead of "punching" and each time he does do this punch he's at significant risk of just having his hand caught and permanently removed from the match.
  28.
  29. I could add more about how Baymax is being argued to simultaneously gun for Fixit and Banner, meaning his attention is divided between two fights. Or how Banner can teleport, meaning Baymax is engaging where Hulk wants and not vice versa. But I don't think it really matters. Hulk is stronger, tougher, can get stronger and tougher *if* the fight lasts long, and even if he couldn't do any of those things, he's going up against a guy who attacks by losing his arms.
