The only show intellect he had all episode was when he reacted with appropriate shock upon finding out that Blitzo dated and screwed over Verosika.

You can pinpoint the exact moment Stolas started to realise this 'date' was not going to go down how he hoped it would, with Blitzo being more interested in voyeurism than him.

Oh I felt bad for him. I would've genuinely had wine with him and asked him about his life and tried to interest him. Blitz really deserves better.

Blitzo needs a hard re-examination of his life. So does Stolas, but for different reasons.

Its very likely that Blitzo underwent some kind of trauma during his younger years, but he's stuck in a rut of endless jealousy, aspirations, fear and rejection. Fear of commitment. He lusts and spies on Moxxie and Millie seemingly out of a desire to emulate their true love. He adopts a late teenage hellhound to pretend he has a real family, while skipping out of actually raising a child, seemingly not being interested in having a child. He inserts himself into his friends lives to their chagrin. He flaunts around with a rich nobleman, and he cannot figure out what he wants out of that relationship.

Does he just want the grimoire? Did he even need it in the first place? Its even implied the first thing he did with the grimoire was go play with Horses on Earth. He does not look like he can even figure out if he has any real feelings for Stolas. He flippantly invites Stolas out for the evening, playing on Stolas's heartstrings since this would be their first real date, just as an excuse to spy on M&M. He's likely stuck in his trauma of rejection and being unable to see that Stolas has genuine feelings for him, but I digress.

He's already destroyed at least one relationship with Verosika. Worst case relationship was so overwhelming annihilated by Blitzo's that it got her sent to rehab. Its clear their relationship was close as Verosika had a tattoo on her arm celebrating their relationship (which if you check blitzo's picture gallery you'll see the tattoo is intact when they were together). Then there's the mystery of Fizz and Blitzo, but I'm betting they are related by blood to some degree, or worked in a identical field.

Smarter people than me have made their thoughts clear, but I'm hoping we see Blitzo try to turn things around. I'm sure they can find a single Human psychologist on Earth to help turn things around.

Oddly enough, Lust is the only one that checks out here, as - besides pink - blue is the color often associated with it.

Pride is typically associated with the color purple.
Wrath is, of course, associated with the color red.
Gluttony is associated with orange.
Greed with gold.
Envy with green.
And sloth with light blue.

I think they just switched them around so that they would make a rainbow, though, then again, greed and envy typically go hand in hand, and thus, their associated colors (the color of gold, and the color of money) may be switched around.

It's gonna be the motherfking Abaddon.
I'm calling it, it's gonna the Bringer of the Apocalypse himself, possibly the wildest card in the entire creation and most likely the first case of depression but on metaphysical level.
Abaddon is the Angel of the Void, the patron of Sloth.

Now, in the conteporary understanding the sin of Sloth is limite donly to lazyness, however for the longest, ancient time it wasn't entirely the case.
Sloth outside of general lazyness and hesitation was also associated with lack of hope and faith, with not even trying and thus wallowing in misery.
The modern word for it is nihilism but at the time the greek word for it was Acedia and it was actually it's iwn seperate sin up untill they decided to incorporate it into the umbrella of Sloth cause they were similar enough to eachother.

This is what ol' Abaddon is the patron of.
And his pourpose in the grand plan is to, when the day comes, to rise out of the abyss, through hell, kicking asses of both Lucy and Satan and emerging onto Earth to bring about the Apocalypse.
That's why i called him the wild card.

But untill then, he'll be stuck in the Abyss in the underside of hell, with all the erased souls, bound by 7 seals and forever sad untill the day comes where he's called and then he will unleash the RAGE.
He's the archetypical Destroyer.
Similar to norse Surtur in that way, who plays key role in Ragnarok.

The main big problem with Blitzo is that his Ego doesn't allow him the introspection that would be required to battle the trauma because it would hurt his already fragile self image.
So instead of facing his problems conciously and honestly to himself he instead simply doesn't even accept or acknowledge the issues as present and as such represses them ever deeper into his unconcious mind, allowing them to fester.

This in turn allows his Shadow, all the things he does not accept about himself, to grow ever larger untill it boils over through the persona he put up around to protect himself from emotional pain and projects through onto people around him as he lashes at his close dones, be it how he berates and insults Moxxie at every turn, be it how much of an asshole he is to everyone, how he ruine dhis reletionship with Verosika and how he ruins the reletionship with Stolas currently.
It's his Shadow bleeding through his mask.

He tries to escape from hismelf, due to narcissism he doesn't accept onbvious flaws that he is even aware of but he cannot escape from himself.
And he will have to face it or else this shadow will devour him from within.

The only thing missing from his bad trip of introspection was this manifestation, in the form of a dark, deranged Blitzo, who's only really good at fking and killing, like some sort of animal.

Ehh, that goes more under the representation if Id more than anything.
The Shadow is so often a represantation of pure evil precisely because people most often reject an idea that they possess any capacity for evil, thinking themselves to be beign of pure good.
This however is not the case.

You know how the saying goes, As Above So Below.
As Within So Without.
And even Carl Jung himself said that no tree can grow to heaven without it's roots reaching down to hell.
Shadow is just that, things we don't accept about ourselves and repress back into the recesses of our unconcious minds.

In the case of Blitzo, this kind of manifestation you mentioned would be way closer to the person Blitzo trie sto build around himelf
This kinda badass assassin, a tough guy who is better than everyone
It's a massive cope, trying to mask his extremely vurnerable, emotionally unstable inside that folds under any sort of hurt however he refuses to show this weakness and represses it inside
This however is a problem when he is unable to show his true self, the way he is for real, cause this persona is simply that, an act, and is unable to show his true self to people around him

The only time where he allows himself to be himelf is in the solitary moments at which he cries himelf to sleep like we saw in the first part of ep 7
It is pathological

However, this manifastation, if it would show up cause it would be cool, could be another projection of his unconcious.
A way for himself to berate himself again over what he should be - in this case, the manifastation would be what he idealises about himself, that persona of an assassib.
That would berate him because he doesn't live up to the imagined standard he put up for himself manifestating as this deranged Blitzo doppleganger
Which would serve only to deepen his repressed feelings of inadequacy as he represses the emotional side more
