All Routes of Twilight Princess Speedrunning Categories

This document will list all text routes of every Twilight Princess category there is. CTRL + F is recommended.

Due to popularity, Wii routes are listed at the bottom with 'Wii' prior to the category name. All other routes listed previously without a prefix are referring to the GameCube version. For Twilight Princess HD, see this document: [link coming soon]

Important note regarding Any% routes:
The difference between the Any% routes range anywhere from a few seconds to about one minute, which means that you can achieve an amazing time with all four routes. Regardless of what other players might say, you need to listen to yourself. Try them out and pick the one you feel the most consistent and/or comfortable with. There is no shame in picking a route that is either a few seconds or a minute slower. All these routes can theoretically get a time several minutes under the three-hour mark, which is a huge feat.

Any% (Gorge) - Traditionally fastest route with high risk, high reward, generally the fastest route.

Any% (Gorge, Zora Armor) - Theoretically the fastest route but harder than Any% (Gorge, No Zora Armor), thus usually making it slower.

Any% (BiTE) - Recommended route for newer players who have mastered Pillar Clip, Morpheel and Zant without Zora Armor but still struggle with Gorge Skip/Void. This route is way more forgiving and only slightly slower than other routes. Recommended overall.

Any% (BiTE, Zora Armor) - By far the most forgiving route, highly recommended for beginners. Deals with Pillar Clip, Morpheel and Zant with infinite air and avoids Gorge. Easy to learn and easy to master.

- Warp to South Faron
- Talk to Bo 6 times
- Warp to Death Mountain
- Transform into human and wait for meteor cutscene
- Climb Death Mountain intentionally
- Talk to Gor Coron and leave
- Warp to South Faron
- Wrestle Bo for the Iron Boots
- Warp to Death Mountain and do early elly as Wolf
- Enter Goron Mines

GORON MINES
- Room 1 with Iron Boots strats [video]
- Tektite room jump slash [video]
- Early Dangoro [video]
- Outdoor jump slash [video]
- Defeat Fyrus and leave Goron Mines

- Castle (rooftop save for BiTE on file 1 (Grove is optimal, FT is better than rooftop)

FARON 1
- Vessel
- Kill bugs and collect all tears not on main path
- Super Jump

SACRED GROVE 1
- Save on file 2 (or file 1 if you skipped rooftop save)
- Master Sword
- Warp to South Faron

FARON 2
- Collect remaining tears on main path
- Save and reset in mist area on file 3 (or 2 if no rooftop save)
- Load file 1 and do BiT
- Game over on title screen and continue
- Skip KB1 cs while resetting
- Load run file
- Use Lantern to get across
- Kill bugs and collect tears
- Defeat Shadow Beasts
- Kill last two bugs
- Enter Forest Temple

FOREST TEMPLE 1
- Enter bridge room
- Void before swinging across
- Get Boomerang and savewarp on run file
- Get Ooccoo and leave

FARON 3
- Finish the twilight by collecting the last two bugs outside Forest Temple
- Backflip savewarp on run file
- Leave Faron and do bridge BiT
- Select run file and fight KB1

ELDIN 1
- Reload Kakariko
- Defeat the Shadow Beasts and get the vessel
- Do Eldin twilight
- Warp to South Faron and dash to Ordon

ORDON 2
- Boomerang the orange rupee and enter Bo's house
- Talk to Bo 6 times
- Warp to Death Mountain

ELDIN 2
- Wait for the meteor cutscene
- Climb Death Mountain without dying or savewarping (this means no early elevator)
- Talk to Gor Coron
- Warp to South Faron and dash to Ordon

ORDON 3
- Wrestle Bo for the Iron Boots
- Warp to Death Mountain

ELDIN 3
- Jump up as wolf or use a goron (might rain rocks)
- Do early elevator [video]
- Enter Goron Mines

GORON MINES 1
- Get the Hero's Bow
- Get the last key shard
- Defeat Fyrus

ELDIN 4
- Ride Epona to Barnes' Bomb Shop and buy a bomb bag [Lantern + Ooccoo]
- Ooccoo back to Forest Temple

FOREST TEMPLE 2
- Get the Big Key and do monkey skip
- Defeat Diababa with Bomb Arrows

FARON 4
- Call Epona and ride her to the Lanayru gate while emptying most of the bomb bag (minimum needed: 4)
- Do Lanayru gate clip and pillar clip

LAKEBED 1
- Save and reset on the run file
- Load file 2
- Howl, skip the cutscene and reset
- Load the run file
- Use Bomb Arrows to knock down rocks or LJA across
- No need for bridge turn
- Early Deku Toad with Bomb Arrows
- Savewarp on the run file
- Empty all bombs and get the WB chest in room 1
- Big Key skip
- Defeat Morpheel and leave the dungeon

Any% Moonjump - Beat the game with the Moonjump cheat

THE WRONG WARP
-Skip goats
-Enter crawlspace
-Wait for Midna then ooccoo in and ooccoo out
-MJ LJA to the Grove entrance
-Wrong Warp with Howling Stone
-Howl to spawn the first Golden Wolf
-Game over inside Iza's house and continue

ENDING BLOW
-Roll twice and go past the grass, turn 180 and MJ up to the clown house
-Head towards Castle Town and get Ending Blow
-Savewarp
-Early Hyrule Castle (MJ over doors)
