- Round 2
- Mik vs Spider
- Response 1
- Mik
- * Team Mik has good esoteric senses
- * Team Mik's speed > Team Spider's speed
- * Team Mik's offense > Team Spider's defense
- * Team Mik's defense > Team Spider's offense
- Spider
- * Senses don't really matter all that much
- * Team Spider's speed is fine
- * Nightcrawler won't be shot, Iron Fist won't mind being stabbed, War Machine's weak spots are only exploited by people that know.
- * Blue Beetle shattering rock isn't as good as shattering metal
- * Blue Beetle's offense isn't as good as Mik is saying it is
- * Team Spider's defense is better than Mik said it was
- * Strode's defense isn't as good as Mik says it is.
- Response 2
- Mik
- * Senses DO matter without starting line of sight
- * The speed that Spider gave still sucks
- * Strode hits hard, and that Nightcrawler's given reason for not being hit is not true
- * BB hits hard still.
- * Ben hits hard still.
- * Enemy's durability sucks.
- * strode's durability is fine
- * BB is fine
- Spider
- * Nightcrawler is fast
- * Nightcrawler has senses
- * Nightcrawler is skilled
- * Frank is strong, fast and hits hard
- * Danny does an awful lot of things.
- Conclusion: Alright. I think Mik takes this. A lot of the evidence that Spider had used for proving his characters were fast had a tendency to be hyper vague and also made the assumption that his characters would be bloodlusted when that is NOT the case. In a specific instance, Mikhail calls out Nightcrawler for being slow, and Spider immediately responds with an in-character reason why, rather than examples of Nightcrawler actually being hyper serious and focused in combat situations. He did at least in his second response provide a good example of Nightcrawler being fast, but a situation where an opponent brings up anti-feats should either be responded in-kind with overwhelming evidence or an explanation as to why that anti-feat isn't an anti-feat, and neither was really done with Spider's assumption people would be bloodlusted. Ultimately, I think that Mik's convinced me the strength of his characters, while doing things like providing a veritable mountain of anti-feats on his opponents. This goes to Mik.
