Galaxy Union Lore

INTRODUCTION
It has been centuries since Galaxy Union was formed, it all started with an experiment
 involving random number generation using quantum effects. It was observed that two
 distant generators would give the same random result when in presence of a human
 being that was observing some other number sequence. More impressing was the fact
 that the information was transmitted immediately, this was confirmed by the experiment
 being conducted between the Moon and Mars colonies. At that point research efforts
 were split into mapping the effect correspondence with the human mind, in essence
 trying to achieve reliant instant communication and the apparent FTL capabilities of the
 subatomic particles. Over the next few decades this research led to the invention of a
 solar system wide communication network that was not bound by the c barrier,
 however the interesting aspect of this invention is that the network node only functions
 while a human being is in vicinity. This unexplained phenomenon sparked a multitude of
 fanatic groups claiming that human conscience transcended space and time, people
 started to wonder if conscience was routed in some other reality, dimension or plane.
 Over the next few years with abundant funding due to the popularity of the concept,
 scientists managed to teleport a few atoms at FTL speeds from Earth to Titan, however
 the teleported atoms would vanish after a few milliseconds if a human being was not in
 vicinity. Mind and matter seemed to be tied very tightly with this new discovery.
 Decades passed and the technology matured to the point where a small spaceship
 could be teleported across the solar system, but a conscious human being was required
 to be in the spaceship. A few years later another discovery rocked the human kind; a
 message was discovered in our DNA, the message was a simple prime number
 sequence that when transmitted over the quantum-neural network yielded an unknown
 pulsar map of some galaxy. The resulting transformation of the society yielded the
 Galaxy Union, a capitalist organisation with the sole purpose of finding the galaxy that
 was written in our DNA sequence. The Milky Way was colonized first and in light of the
 earlier finding a not so strange fact was confirmed, we are alone, this fueled the
 determination to find the source of the encoded message, to find that galaxy.  FTL travel
 became common and easy, the Galaxy Union has colonized thousands of galaxies,
 human kind prospers and multiplies, our population numbers are in quadrillions and we
 are determined.
