Wem muth zu vechten were /

To whomever desires to fence weapons,
Who takes a sword in the hand,
I judge him upon my honor. [in the manner of my station]
If I recognize him correctly,
His fencing does not injure me.
He can hew much spectacle,
I execute the displacing
And strike in from the bind.

Den flygelhau ich preysse /
den feller auch dorpey /

The wing-hew I prize,

Zūm ersten so eynner recht vycht so sol ich gegen im lyngk vechten;
der ples, so man gybet, sol alweg zu geraymet werden;
