RO/HH: Trip

-- recreantOctopus [RO] walks along the beech, along the way to his old hive. Funny how he ends up walking down old familar paths. He glances at the ocean occasionally and worries he might be too close --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] is just laying on the beach, chilling and listening to the waves. --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] doesn't notice her at first, her laying pretty still and him wrapped up in other thoughts. He gets up to 10 feet away before he spots her and he freezes suddenly. He hasn't been told he can see her again yet and... --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] appears to have fallen asleep! this isn't good, what if she stays here all night? the sun could come out and burn her! --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] quickly turns away looks like he's about to scamper away. But then he slowly turns around, noticing her eyes are closed and not making any move. His eyes widen. He takes hesitant flighty steps towards her, gets on his knees, and touches her neck feeling for pulse --
-- hinderingHijinks's [HH'S] eyes open lazily, and she looks up at him. --
HH: well look who we have here! howzit, rusty?
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] smiles --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] just smiles warmly with relief and possibly other feels --
HH: ....
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] looks at him expectantly --
HH: soooooo howzitgoin, bro??
-- recreantOctopus [RO] smile drops and he puts a hand to his mouth. Then he turns tail and runs down the beach like a flighty broad --
HH: !!
HH: hey!
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] stares after him for a moment before hopping to her feet --
HH: wowza! dude was outta here hella fast...
HH: hmm, prolly cant catch him running like a motherfuckin speedbeast
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] muses for a moment before grinning and grabbing a surfboard out of her sylladex and running out into the water, giving chase from sea. --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] looks over his shoulder. He can't help feel warm inside seeing her chase after him. But he's not supposed to talk to her yet! --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] catches a particularly strong wave and rides it all the way to the shore, jumping off of her board and doing some sort of acrobatic manuver through the air to land in front of him --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] tries to skid to a halt in the sand but can't avoid runing right into her --
RO: (((*running))
HH: oof!
HH: hahaha nice one!
HH: yall alright there rusty?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] smiles apologetically, then takes a step back so he's not all up in her grill yo --
HH: whats the matter? purrbeast all up and grabbed your tongue?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] that hurt! Even if she doesn't know. That pain shows up on his face. --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] tilts her head --
HH: wait did that... actually happen?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] hangs his head and looks away. He nods slightly --

HH: motherfuckin purrbeasts!
-- recreantOctopus [RO] looks back up to her quizzical. --
HH: well didnt you say a purrbeast all up and got your tongue?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] waves a hand side to side to indicate 'sort of' --
HH: soooo....
HH: what all up and got your tongue then little brother?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] traces of fear creep up on Cirrin's face and he shifts his foot nervously. He's not sure if he should tell her --
HH: its totes cool if you dont want to get your talk on about it rusty, i can comprehend that
-- recreantOctopus [RO] nods his head sadly --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] time to cut the charades. He takes out some paper, a feather, and the ink of squid prop quo. He writes some words and passes it to her. --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] reads it --
RO: last CIRRIN RUNFAR heard CIRRIN RUNFAR isnt supposed to be talking to you for a while anyway
HH: oh for reals??
HH: what for?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] looks confused and writes another note --
RO: not sure you acted grouchy and Cucali passed on the message
-- recreantOctopus [RO] shrugs --
HH: huh, thats hella weird.
HH: dunno why shed not want be to talk ta you youre a pretty chill broski
-- recreantOctopus [RO] briefly frowns while looking away. She might have a couple more reasons now. But then he brightens up and scribbles another note --
RO: then guess everything is alright now?
HH: sure! i didnt even know that anything was wrong.
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] grins at him --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] can't help smile too. But inwards he thinks there is still plenty wrong --
HH: so dude...
HH: wanna come and get your surf on with me?
HH: itll be hella choice!
-- recreantOctopus [RO] looks at the ocean hey remember that time he almost drowned there? He writes something hastily --
RO: CIRRIN RUNFAR never learned to surf proper
HH: weeeell then i can all up and teach you!
-- recreantOctopus [RO] sways on his feet looking hesitant. He glances at the ocean. Some of those waves look awfully big... --
HH: ...
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] puts a hand on his shoulder --
HH: hey, its okay rusty, i wont let anything happen to you.
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] smiles --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] turns to look at her. He nods. --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] Let's do this --
HH: aaaaaalright!!
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] lets go of his shoulder and gets out another surfboard, ready to teach! --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] holds the surf board close to him. Nervous but eager to go --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] STUFF HAPPENS --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] flings himself to the sand. Dry land at last. He rolls over and looks up into the sky with a smile, exhausted --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] plops down beside him --
HH: whatd i tell ya?
HH: hell

-- hinderingHijinks [HH] laughs --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] chuckles, if you can do that without a tongue --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] sits up and looks at her. Rather than getting out his ink again, he writes in the sand --
RO: thanks
HH: noooo problamo rusty! always up for helpin out an amigo
-- recreantOctopus [RO] writes in the sand again --
RO: are you still high?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] kinda already knows the answer --
HH: well i am pretty sure im still pretty high, yes.
HH: as a motherfuckin kite!
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] pauses and decaptchalogs a blunt, lights it and starts smoking it --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] asks if he can have some he touching his chest and looking inquiringly. For medicinal perposes of course. It still hurts a lot --
RO: ((*by touching))
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] grins and hands him one, lighting it for him --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] takes a deep draw and starts caughing. --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] laughs --
HH: gotta go slowly, rusty!
-- recreantOctopus [RO] gives her sly look and tries again, slower. No silly caughings this time --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] as it begins to take effect he offers it back to Solena. He sighs and stares out across the sea with a sad face --
HH: somethin the matter, rusty?
HH: you look hella unchill
-- recreantOctopus [RO] opens and closes his mouth, and then waves a hand in the air in a vague motion --
HH: ....
HH: what?
-- recreantOctopus [RO] shrugs and waves his hand more fustrated. What's he supposed to do, write an essay about it? --
HH: dude i have no idea what youre all up and motionin about.
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] =:0 --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] throws his arms up, giving up. The waves look so much more facinating any way. Look at the way they all move and stuff --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] props her head up on one arm and looks at him for a bit longer before shrugging and plopping down on her back --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] turns away from her and looses track of time thinking and staring at clouds. Finally, he draws Solena's symbol in the sand. He tugs at her sleeve and points to a cloud he thinks looks like the what he just drew --
HH: wha...?
HH: oh man
HH: dude that is
HH: so righteous...
-- recreantOctopus [RO] giggles at this reaction --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] chuckles --
HH: hey look... that ones like a wave!
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] points --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] gaps and mimicks a wave with his hand --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] nods and smiles! --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] then points to another cloud. It kinda looks llike a heart. --
HH: ooh!
-- recreantOctopus [RO] slowly puts his arm down and suppresses a blush --
HH: man its like that cloud is nursin a flushcrush or somethin
-- recreantOctopus [RO] laughs and turns way. Nope. This isn't going to lead to make outs this time. She has an actual matesprit now --
-- hinderingHijinks [HH] after a while, just sorta... dozes off again. --
-- recreantOctopus [RO] stands up and looks down at her. She looks so peaceful sleeping. He brushes a bit of hair out of her face and gives her a gentle nudge to wake her up before she burns in the sun. Then he quietly darts off before she wakes up proper --
