  1. Enter - Go-Busters (Probably the best Sentai villain, period. Charming and creepy at the same time, manages to completely defeat his generic idiot boss, and actually becomes an evil ranger by the end.It helps all of his plans are smart, too.)
  2.
  3. Brajira of the Messiah - Goseiger (A personal favorite villain of mine. His backstabbing, manipulative nature is really fun, and the final twist of him being the true evil of the series is well done. Basically what holds Goseiger together.)
  4.
  5. Wicked Life God Dezumozorlya - Abaranger (The absolute closest Sentai has gotten to having a full on elder god as a villain. Completely abhorrent in nature, implied to have raped another character. Gets incredibly close to destroying the earth, still potentially one of the most effective villains in the series.)
  6.
  7. Long - Gekiranger (Potentially the absolute most powerful Sentai villain. Had to be locked away, never truly defeated due to his literal immortal nature. Like every character in Gekiranger, has a unique fighting style, but is also smart and scheming.)
  8.
  9. Genis - Zyuohger (The best example of the sitting on his ass villain archetype. Its pretty clear how powerful he is, especially by the end of the series, and he just really does not care about anything. While his minions go through personal arcs, he's only bested because of his own, well deserved, egotism.)
  10.
  11. Fuhrer Hell Saturn - Sun Vulcan (Menacing, Darth Vader-like design, become one of my personal favorite old Sentai villains. He never does much of anything, but he does manage to successfully destroy some of his traitorous minions by the end. His religious fanatic aspect is fun too.)
  12.
  13. Dr. Hinelar - Megaranger (Backstory is actually kind of depressing. Manages to actually outsmart an eldritch horror and have it killed. Probably one of the more "humanized" villains.)
  14.
  15. Great Professor Bias - Liveman (Probably the most despicable Sentai villain. Doesn't do much as a villain other than emotionally manipulate people to further his own egotistical goals. Kind of a horrible asshole.)
  16.
  17. Absolute God N Ma - Magiranger (TERRIFYING. Design is a bit too conventional to go the full elder god like Dezumozorlya, but his powers are bizarre, and I'm a sucker for squids.)
  18.
  19. Witch Bandora - Zyuranger (Obvious nostalgia aside, Bandora is a fun villain. Her motivation of hating children and her direct satanism is pretty great.)
  20.
  21. Black Cross Fuhrer - Goranger (Goes from generic KKK member design to much goofier, but more memorable, cross mask design. Doesn't have any power beyond being generically strong, but his true form being a giant flying castle is... something. I kind of like him purely out of him being the first.)
  22.
  23. Emperor of Darkness Z - ToQger (Starts off as a fun subversion of the Kingdom Hearts style darkness villain, while still being completely evil. In his second form, he kind of becomes a bit more generic.)
  24.
  25. Star King Bazue - Changeman (I didn't really like this guy until I read about him, and his concept is so utterly ridiculous I kind of love it. His design is unique, and his true nature of a planet eating planet is pretty great.)
  26.
  27. Boss Tau Zant - Hurricaneger (Fun, insect based design, almost entirely this high just for my love of it. Otherwise, a rather generic villain, but better than Lothor.)
  28.
  29. Rainian Agent Abrella - Dekaranger (Unique as far as villain motives go. He literally just wants to make money off of other people doing crimes, and the biggest problem he almost causes is destroying the police.)
  30.
  31. Prince Megiddo - Dynaman (Obviously the real main villain of Dynaman, actually has an arc compared to his boring dad. The first, and only one of few, Sentai villains to become a dark ranger, which is fun.)
  32.
  33. Reckless Dash Emperor Exhaus - Carranger (His plan is ridiculous, but in a mostly comedy based series, he winds up actually being a threat, which is something.)
  34.
  35. Doctor Man - Bioman (Stupid name aside, his arc of a human becoming an emotionless machine is good. Doesn't have much, power wise, other than being smart.)
  36.
  37. Great Boma Emperor Lagorn - Turboranger (Interestingly designed first form, second form is rather generic, but still good. Interesting in that he was killed, and eventually came back. First downfall was caused entirely because of racism.)
  38.
  39. Earth Emperor Zeba - Maskman (First form is fairly overdesigned, but second form is fairly decent. His bizarre origin and the ultimate conspiracy behind him is interesting.)
  40.
  41. Don Dolnero - Timeranger (SUPER Warlordian design. Kind of fun in how simple he is compared to most villains, his first scene is just him shooting people with guns. Kind of brought down by his comedic fart powers, though. His love for his daughter does humanize him, however.)
  42.
  43. Daimaou - Kakuranger (Not as interesting as his son, who he kills. The only monster in the series, depsite being the leader of the Yokai, that isn't actually based on a Yokai. He makes monsters by puking eggs, which is nice and gross.)
  44.
  45. Satan Egos - Battle Fever J (Design is a pretty generic bondage KKK member, but his power set is completely ridiculous. Definitely something made up entirely on the fly, which kind of fits Battle Fever J's bizarre nature. First monster to ever actually grow giant himself, so that deserve's something.)
  46.
  47. Fuhrer Taboo - Goggle V (Not an especially good villain, he mostly spends his time locked behind a wall, but his design is great. Very Cthulhu-esque, the first Sentai villain to be fully monstrous.)
  48.
  49. Queen Hedrian - Denziman (Certainly strange, but comes off more as a joke than as a decent villain, at least in Denziman. Her plans are realy nothing too threatening, and she ultimately winds up being replaced as main villain near the end, and humiliated. The only villain to return as a main villain in a second season, though.)
  50.
  51. Captain Zahab - Gingaman (Generically threatening pirate guy who doesn't do much other than order his minions around. Only a threat because of his giant dragon base, but design is fun.)
  52.
  53. Gorma Emperor XVI Shadam - Dairanger (Design is a guy with a monocle. His arc is fine, but he gets pretty much humiliated when Serpentera shows up.)
  54.
  55. Grand Witch Grandiene - GoGoV (Final form is amusingly risque, and having a fully monstrous female villain is unique. The most interesting aspect of the villains in this series is the parallel to the main character's family aspect, with Grandiene treating her family like garbage to get what she wants.)
  56.
  57. Crime Minister Yogoshimacritein - Go-Onger (Generically strong final boss villain. Replaces actually fun villains, while still trying to be somewhat comedic. It doesn't work well.)
  58.
  59. Gengetsu Kibaoni - Ninninger (Doesn't do much until the end of the series, but is at the very least a presence for most of it, unlike a lot of villains like that. The actual big fight with him is pretty spectacular, though, and his design is good.)
  60.
  61. Emperor Bacchus Wrath - Ohranger (Warlordian design is fun, but awkward when you actually see him fight. Most of his problems come from the change in Ohranger's plot, but him seeming to genuinely love his robot family is an interesting character bit.)
  62.
  63. Boss Iron Claw - JAKQ (Literally Robbie Rotten if he was a cyborg. His hair is hilariously bad, probably THE most 70's Sentai villain ever. Final form is decent, basically looking like Destro. His claw hand power is decent as well.)
  64.
  65. Arch Priest Gajah - Boukenger (The least interesting of Boukenger's four villains, only the final boss because lol throwback for the anniversary. Just a guy in a weird pope hat, which final form decides to keep for some reason.)
  66.
  67. Great Emperor Ra Deus - Flashman (His design is fairly generic, and his backstory makes very little sense. By the end of the series he winds up being killed three times, and not in a cool way.)
  68.
  69. Back Dimensional Count Radiguet - Jetman (Generic design, edgy as shit.)
  70.
  71. Galactic Super Beast Vulgyre - Fiveman (Good design, bad villain. Doesn't do anything until the end of the series, and isn't even known to be a thing until three episodes before the series is over. Basically just a giant rampaging kaiju.)
  72.
  73. Org Master - Gaoranger (Not a character, only on the list for completion. Villains below this are memes.)
  74.
  75. Emperor Akudos Gill - Gokaiger (Shows up for a handful of episodes, gets no development or personality, is just kind of a generic strong villain. Makes up for it a bit by having his final fight be one of the best in Sentai history.)
  76.
  77. Dokoku Chimatsuri - Shinkenger (I hate basically every design in Shinkenger. Dokoku is a horrifically lazy villain who does nothing but get drunk for most of the series. The first time he does something he instantly loses, and gets a generic power-up that makes him an actual threat. Implied to only be the main villain because he's generically strong.)
  78.
  79. Trancendenterfly God Deboth - Kyoryuger (Looooool. This guy is built up as a major, world destroying threat for the entire series, and then does nothing to actually show that. He sets up a pointless timer before he destroys the earth instead of doing it immediately, and gets owned by a single ranger. Shadow the Hedgehog is a better ultimate lifeform than this guy.)
