  1. Capture NX-D Version 1.6.2
  2.
  3. Thank you very much for downloading Capture NX-D.
  4. Please read the following last minute important information, which may not be included in Help.
  5.
  6. 1 Adjustments made with the beta version (Version 0.9.1 or 0.9.2) will not be reflected in this version of the software.
  7.
  8. 2 Picture Control Utility Version.1.x, which is included with ViewNX 2 or Capture NX 2, cannot be launched from this software. Please use Picture Control Utility 2, which is included with this software.
  9.
  10. 3 Under 32-bit editions of Windows, the application may become unstable or preview images may not be updated to reflect the results of edits when memory is insufficient.
  11.
  12. 4 To get an accurate view of the results of the adjustments applied to an image, you must view the image at 50% zoom or larger.
  13.
  14. 5 When the Latest Picture Control option is selected, if you open a RAW image that was taken using a D2X series Picture Control, [Standard] automatically replaces that Picture Control.
  15.
  16. 6 In some iMac 5k models, rendering images may take time.
  17.
  18. 7 Declining access in the event that macOS displays a permission dialog may cause unexpected results. To restore normal operation, go to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy” > “Privacy” and enable the Capture NX-D check boxes in “Photos” and “Automation”.

  21. Nikon Transfer 2 Version 2.13.5
  22.
  23. 1 If Primary Destination/Backup Destination folder already contains files with the same name
  24. If the Primary Destination/Backup Destination folder already contains files with the same name as files you are transferring, instead of being overwritten, the files are given trailing numbers to their names (for example: DSC_0001_1.JPG, DSC_0001_2.JPG) during transfer. If the "Backup files" checkbox is selected, both the Primary Destination folder and the Backup Destination folder are checked for files that may have the same name as files to be transferred. If identically named files are found, trailing numbers are added to the names of the files to be transferred. The trailing numbers added to the file names are the same for both the Primary Destination folder and the Backup Destination folder.
  25.
  26. 2 Date Shot
  27. Images modified after their shooting dates are transferred to folders that are different from the ones dated with their shooting dates, even though you chose "Date Shot" in the Folder Naming dialog when you specified the folder names. This is because the application actually transfer images to folders created based on their creation dates, instead of their actual shooting dates. Please make sure that the date and time is set correctly on your camera before shooting.
  28.
  29. 3 Images taken in continuous high-speed mode (Windows only)
  30. If you transfer images that were taken in continuous high-speed mode and rename them with their dates/times shot during the transfer, the new file names may not be in the order of the actual dates/times shot because subtle discrepancies may occur between the actual times of shot and the times used in the file names.
  31.
  32. 4 SD memory card (Mac only)
  33. All images are treated as “protected” during the transfer operation if the memory card is locked.
  34.
  35. 5 Camera date and time (Mac only)
  36. Camera date and time synchronization does not work when the OS uses a non-Gregorian calendar.
  37.
  38. 6 Using “Disconnect automatically after transfer” when a mass storage device is connected
  39. If you transfer data from multiple memory cards inserted in a mass storage device, a removable disk device button will be displayed for each mounted memory card when you connect the device to your PC. If the “Disconnect automatically after transfer” option is selected, all the memory cards will be automatically unmounted after the transfer operation from the first memory cards is completed. If you want to continue to transfer data from the rest of the memory cards, de-select the option before performing operation to prevent all the memory cards from getting unmounted after each transfer.
  40.
  41. 7 Some of the thumbnail images of the files that are being transferred may not be displayed during the transfer operation.
  42.
  43. 8 If you use an XMP/IPTC preset created with Nikon Transfer 2 version 1.2.9 or earlier, the field "Event" in the preset will be unchecked. Please check the field as necessary.
  44.
  45. 9 When some cameras are connected to a computer via PTP, if you turn off the device button of the connected camera in Nikon Transfer 2 temporarily and then turn it on, the images saved in the camera are not displayed and the transfer operation cannot be performed. In that case, please turn the camera off once, then turn it on, and then try again. (Mac only)
  46.
  47. 10 With the following cameras, some thumbnail images saved in the camera may not be displayed when the camera is connected to the computer via PTP. In that case, if you deselect the device button of the connected camera once and select it again, all the thumbnail images may be displayed. (Mac only)
  48.
  49. D3300/D5300/D7100/J3/J4/J5/S1/S2/V3/AW1
  50.
  51. 11 With some cameras, transferring a file with 4GB or larger may fail when the camera is connected to the computer via PTP. In that case, please insert the memory card that contains the file into the camera used for shooting, then connect to the computer and transfer the file.
  52.
  53. 12 On a macOS High Sierra or later computer, thumbnails of the images taken in portrait orientation are displayed in landscape orientation.
  54.
  55. 13 Declining access in the event that macOS displays a permission dialog may cause unexpected results. To restore normal operation, go to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy” > “Privacy” and enable the Nikon Transfer 2 check boxes in “Photos” and “Automation”.
