Background: Chaeyoung was born in France. Her Father was a french man and her mother is Korean. Her mother was from a middle class family in Korea and had to move temporarily to France for business. During her first year in France she met Chaeyoung’s dad and they started dating. During her 4th year they got married and on her 5th year she gave birth to Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung was 4 when her mother had to move back to Korea. Her father decided to come as well and they all lived in the Korea happily until Chaeyoung was 8.

When Chaeyoung was 8 her father was murdered by a couple of waste youths. This broke her mother and Chaeyoung was devastated. Growing up she was close with her father and losing him mean’t she lost a part of herself. Her mother became very depressed and was less involved with Chae, although she didn’t become abusive or an alcoholic. She became distant and talked less with people. While Chae was in high school she wasn’t very social with the others and didn’t really open up to many people. She had only 2 best friends who knew about her mother and her past.

When Chae was 16 her mother fell ill and this actually made them closer. Chaeyoung has to start working to pay for her mothers bills. She couldn’t go to university because of this and instead left school after college ( ik in america they’re the same but in england they’re not, college is 2 years before university). When she was 19 she started working in Universal Seoul and has been ever since.
