Sharing a special bond with George, the extraordinary albino silver-back gorilla, the retired U.S. Army soldier and now a San Diego Wildlife Preserve primatologist, Davis Okoye, will see everything in his life turn upside down when his intelligent companion is accidentally exposed to Dr Kate Caldwell's gene-mutating pathogen. As George along with two other unsuspecting animals grow into ravenous monsters of gargantuan proportions, a frenzied race against the clock commences, as Davis and Dr Kate struggle to find a possible antidote. When you watch a Dwayne Johnson movie you know you are watching it to be entertained, thus this movie does what is expected from it, which is to entertain us with adventure, action scenes and pleasant cgi.<br/><br/>The one you will route for is certainly the amusing but pityfull George the white gorilla.<br/><br/>Dwyane is his usual self and does what he do best. Theres not much to the story but the face pace and good visuals make up for that. <br/><br/>Overall a solid entertainer which I am sure is a crowd pleaser.
I was enjoying this for a while, but then boredom strikes. and the last 30 minutes are unbearable. the plot is simple. animals are infected by a virus from outer space and bad things happen. the rock has his usual charm, but he&#39;s really not in the last part of the film.
Rampage is a movie that gets buried in its own top-heavy plot, collapsing itself under that weight just like the Chicago-area buildings do on screen.
