Bryan's blast off wedding party

Alexithymiaa: -Steph was standing in the back of the venue by one of the tables, her eyes set on the stage where Bryan and his band were on stage going nuts, clearly all already completely drunk. She was pretty pleased that he had decided to have all the guys together and jjam, and even more pleased that it was going to be during this massive party. The place was packed and about half of the people in attendence were friends of theirs and the other half was regular people since the club was open to the public still. // Noah had been itching for a beer since they had arrived, but he didnt have a fake ID and he didnt really have any connections here so he was instead drinking a soda and bobbing along with the music from the band. "Isn't he cool?" He asked Tae, leaning into her so she could hear him. // Brad was just walking in with Kelsey, his arm around her shoulders as he stepped through the subway car that led from the entrance of the club to the main area, passing by the bar on their way. CovetCovet : Cadence was watching Bryan on stage, and just kind of looking around the crowd. She was trying to put on a brave face, but she couldn't drink and she wasn't really looking forward to the wedding nonsense. She was looking rather pregnant right now and despite the make up she had on, she definitely looked tired. // Felix was enjoying his cranberry juice, happy that he could turn down the noise a bit on his end, because Bryan was terribly off key. He had his arm around Steph's waist, glancing over at his Dad. // Benj was out of place a bit, because he really didn't know anyone, but he did know that some of the people here, would be at Steph and Felix's wedding so he was trying to remember who was who. He couldn't help but keep stealing glances at Cadence, over the top of his soda when nobody was paying attention. // Kelsey looked at the bar, then nodded her head, "Sure that sounds great. Sounds like Bryan is well into his own party." // Tae was happily buzzed because she had her ID and was enjoying the music, "I mean, from what I can see, he seems pretty cool yeah, but we haven't really talked to him." She said dancing in her heels to the music.
Alexithymiaa: -Steph leaned into Felix a bit, reaching for his juice so she could take a sip before handing it back to him. "It's funny how now that it's time for his party, he can go perform with all the guys, but couldn't do it for my birthday." She said with a roll of her eyes, looking over to Cadence. "You've been pretty quiet." // "So what?" Noah asked, circling his arms around Tae and sort of rocking with her as she danced. "You don't need to talk to him in order to see how badass he is." // "Isn't he always?" Brad shot back not so sarcastically, stopping next to the bar to order himself a beer before turning to look at Kelsey. Covet: "Yeah, sorry... I'm just concerned about Trick with Tyler." She said lying through her teeth. She moved to sit down at the table, her feet starting to feel sore from the standing and being pregnant. // "It's your brother, are you really surprised." Felix said with a laugh. "Her brother is a bit of an ass, if you haven't guessed. // "And this is the guy that punched you in the face?" Benji asked him with a laugh. "What did you say to cause that to happen?" // "I'll take a long island." Kelsey said to him watching Bryan and seeing the other people in the crowd, looking around for anyone else they might know. // Tae laughed, "No but it kind of helps a bit. Because he could look cool on the outside, but be a total jerk. I've ran into them a time or two. Do you want a sip of my drink?"
Alexithymiaa: "Tyler has babysat plenty of times. I really don't think you have anything to worry about." She told Cadence, shifting on her feet because her feet were also a little sore, but from her insane heels. "Of course I'm not surprised, however I AM surprised he would pass up the opportunity to be the center of attention." She as she put her hand out to hold onto the table for leverage on heels. "If I remember correctly, Bryan started it each time, but Felix egged it on to end up actually getting punched." She said with a grin, nudging him. "In Bryan's defense, I'd just gotten out of a pretty toxic relationship and he was just being a big brother." // "Who said you can't be cool and a jerk at the same time though?" Noah asked, holding his hand out for her drink because he definitely did want a sip of it. "Yes. Can't you just get me my own though? It sucks that they actually card here. Like who even does that anymore?" He asked with a snicker, just bitter that he couldn't be all out here drinking underage. // Brad turned back to the bartender to order Kelsey's Long Island iced tea, leaning his arm on the surface. "So realistically how long do you think we need to stay before it's socially acceptable to go home and get into bed?" Brad asked her, grabbing their drinks and passing Kelsey's over to her. "I feel like I've been working overtime since Evans out for a little. I'm usually busy WITH him helping me. How am I supposed to do this without him?"-
Covet: Cadence nodded, "Yeah... I know." She said tipping back the rest of her water, forcing her smile back on. // Felix scoffed. "It's not my fault your cocky brother needed to be knocked down a peg or two." He said then looked at his Dad, "I see how it is, just assume I was the one who said something. // "Felix... Your mom has updated me enough to know that you can't keep your mouth shut." He said going to give him pat on the shoulder but then realized the only free arm he had was in a brace. He looked over at Cadence and gave her a softened look. // "It's just a week, You'll be okay. I'm surprised you're not more excited to be at a party." Kelsey said, then brought a hand to his forehead. "You sure you're feeling alright?" // Tae laughed, "If I get you your own it could look suspicious. Maybe we should get you a fake one like I did. This place is a lot cooler than the other concert venue and the bar."
Alexithymiaa: -Steph smirked, shaking her head. "I dont think I remember the part where you knocked him down a peg. I remember the part where you guys beat the crap out of each other equally, but not any sort of clear winner. Interesting." She started to laugh, looking over at Cadence. "Come on, do you want to dance with me?" // "Why would it look suspicious? It could look like just a soda or something, but have whiskey in it. That's good." Noah said with a nod, trying to further convince her to get him a drink. "I wouldnt even know who to talk to here to get a fake ID. Where did you get yours from?" // "It's Bryan's party..." Brad mumbled, the true reason why he wasnt thrilled to be here finally coming to light. "I really am tired though. I kind of forget how much Evan does because he kind of just... does it." He sighed, taking a sip of his beer. "Did you want to go in and actually show face, or can we hide out in here a little bit.?" // Bryan stumbled over to the microphone stand, slurring into the mic as he spoke. "So this next one. I wrote. And we did it. And if you've ever having a hard time. You just gotta.... ya know... you keep going." He rambled somewhat incoherantly before they broke into the next song. // Unfortunately for literally everyone, the PARENTS were invited to this party and therefore Risa was wandering around a bit out of place at a venue like this. Covet: "Yeah, I would but I'm afraid my feet are going to start swelling, so one song is about all I've got in me." She said getting up to head to the floor with Steph. Hearing Risa's voice Cadence turned around, and gave her the most cold heartless stare. "Was it the demon that resides in you, that convinced you that coming over here was a good idea? Because at seven months pregnant, being a single mother of soon to be two kids...My patience is practicallyl non existent for any drama, let alone your level, Risa." She said crossing her arms over her chest. // "Yeah, well he still didn't win so that's all that matters." Felix said with a smirk, then heard Risa and Cadence's conversation. He cleared his throat and walked over to Steph pulling her close with an arm around her. // Benji just kind of stepped back because any sort of conflict especially at a bar, wouldn't look good for him. But he was keeping an eye on the interaction. // Kelsey rolled her eyes, "But a party is a party...who cares about who's party it actually is. We can hide out here for now if you're not feeling up to being social. It's not like we'd be noticed here or not." She said with the crowd of people. // "Well, I got mine through Drew, but it can't be that hard to find someone, it's not like he was the only one to make them in Portland." Tae said, then stepped out of his grip, "Okay fine I'll be right back with a rum and coke."
Alexithymiaa: -Steph swallowed hard when she saw Risa walking up to their table, the smile slipping off of her face as she stared at her. "Your only child is on stage. Go focus your energy on him since he's the only reason you're here." She lifted her hand, trying to wave her off. // "Whiskey and coke!" Noah called at her as she went off to the bar to get him a drink, refocusing his attention on Bryan on stage to essentially watch in awe like a loser. // "It's still Bryan's party." Brad said quickly, sippin on his drink again. "Which means everyone here kind of sucks. I'm perfectly fine to just enjoy my beer in here where we don't know anyone. And it's not even like we can really pick anyone up here since almost everyone here is somehow associated with Bryan." // Risa raised her brows at Cadence. "Well I was trying to be nice, but I guess I should have assumed you were going to be rude for no reason." She turned to look at Steph, her eyes dropping over her frame since she was considerably heavier than the last time she'd seen her, judging. Always judging. She caught the ring on Steph's hand when she waved her off. "Are you two engaged?"-
Covet: Cadence started laughing then stepped closer to Risa, " That's hilarious, because we all know that was not your reasoning for coming over. So... how about you walk back to the portal from hell you walked out of." // Felix looked down at Steph's hand then smiled, "Maybe, too bad you'll never know if it is or not." He said smugly being a little shit. // Even Benji had to be a little amused with the show going on, and smirked, taking a drink of his soda. // Kelsey rolled her eyes, "Look I get that you're tired, but sometimes it's not all about you. Bryan kind of has a right to be happy and celebratory about this right now, so can you put the attitude aside for an hour or two?" // Tae ignored him and got to the bar, ordering him a rum and coke all the same because she knew he'd drink it regardless, booze is booze and beggars can't be choosers. She made her way back with his drink and a glass of water for herself so it didn't seem too suspicious.
Alexithymiaa: -She caught her mother's judging look, shaking her head and trying to push Felix forward so their group could walk away from Risa. "I'm not doing this. I can't do this." She said as she stepped out from behind him since no one was moving fast enough for her liking to get away from her mother. She started off into the crowd of people dancing and enjoying Bryan's antics, taking a deep breath. // When Tae returned to Noah with the drink, he took the glass from her, taking a quick sip. "What is this? I said whiskey. Whiskey and coke is way better than rum and coke." He paused, taking another sip because he definitely was going to drink it anyway. "Whatever, it's fine. Do you see how into their band everyone is?" // Brad rolled his eyes, rocking back on his heels. "I didnt say it was all about me, me and Bryan have just never gotten along. And not for lack of trying on my part, that's for sure. He's referred to me as Steph's gay friend since I'm like 13. Do you have any idea the kind of shit I took for that sort of nickname? I didn't even know I was bi, then!" He shouted a bit, getting excited and waving a hand through the air. "I know he's your family, I just think he's an asshole." // "Actually it was. I saw you and I saw that you're clearly pregnant and I wanted to congratulate you. I'm sorry that was so awful." Risa spoke in an even tone before looking to Felix and then Steph as she walked away. "You know, this is your fault. My relationship with my family was perfectly fine until you opened your big mouth. Now my son lives on the other side of the country and my daughter wishes I was dead. So thank you, for that." She shot at him with a sneer before turning on her heel and walking off to go get herself a drink, heading toward the bar.-
Covet: "Thanks, but you're the last person I want to hear that from." Cadence said then exhaled after Risa turned to walk away. She went to sit back down at the table they'd had taking a few deep breaths. // Felix followed after Steph into the crowd and pulled his arms around her, turning her around to face him. " Are you okay?" // Benji walked over to Cadence, "Can I get you some water?" He asked, watching the group kind of disperse. // Kelsey nodded her head, "Oh right... Well, if that's how you felt you didn't have to come. I'm not about to force you to be somewhere that makes you feel uncomfortable." // Tae laughed, "Sorry, I didn't hear you before I walked off. I mean, they're all his family and friends, so they might just be being supportive." She said teasing him, because all he'd done is go on and on about Bryan.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I'm fine. I just..." She rolled her shoulders back, giving a shudder. "I don't like the way she looks at me, I don't like her attitude, and I don't want anything to do with her. I forgot she'd probably even be here." She let out a deep sigh, flicking her bangs off her forehead. "I honestly don't know why he has anything to do with either of them." // "Uhuh." Noah said quickly, taking another sip of his drink and looking out across the crowd. "No they're not. I barely recognize anyone." He said like he would know every single person that Bryan knows or some shit. "They just make good music." // "It's fine, we're here... we'll stay a little longer and then we'll relieve Holly before it gets too late." He said as he saw Risa heading in their direction by the bar. "Incoming." // Risa stepped up to the bar with Brad and Kelsey, giving Kelsey a bit more of a genuine smile than she had Cadence. "Kelsey. Bradley. How are you?" She asked, ordering herself a martini because that's a fancy drink I guess.-
Covet: "Actually, if you could do me a huge favor, I know it might be weird, but my feet are killing me, can you help me get my shoes off for a little bit?" She asked Benji. // Felix nodded, "It's okay I understand. Just remember she doesn't matter. As for your brother, I wish I had the answers, but his relationship with them is just different." He told her. // "It's alright, it's a little... dated, but it's alright. I can dance to it." She said not unimpressed but not fully enamored either. // Kelsey saw her aunt and gave her a smile, " Pretty good, staying busy. How about you Aunt Risa?"
Alexithymiaa: "I know. Her inability to be a human being isn't my problem or my responsibility to fix." She said as if almost verbatim from a therapy session. She glanced up at the stage where Bryan was essentially humping his bass across the stage, shaking her head. "Would you mind if we went home? I'm suddenly not feeling the party mood. I'll see if Cadence is ready to head out." She took his hand, gently turning back over to walk to the table, seeing Benji helping Cadence get her shoes off. "I take it you're not going anywhere for a while." // "Dated?" Noah gasped, shocked and slightly offended that she said that about Bryan's music. It's not dated. It's great. This is like the timeless kind of punk rock." He tried to correct her, downing the rest of his drink. "Do you even know anything about good music?" He asked with a fucking attitude. // Brad instantly brought his beer up to his mouth to take a sip, trying to avoid talking to Risa for as long as possible. // "Doing well. Work is good, as usual. I wish everyone was a little nicer to me sometimes, but I guess some people just weren't raised with manners." She said with the fucking irony dripping from every word. She took her glass from the bartender, giving Kelsey a little nod. "I've seen good things going on with you lately. It's so nice you were able to make it in such a cutthroat industry. Most people can't."-
Covet: "What? No we can go, I just thought you would want to stay later. But.. Those shoes aren't going back on, so barefoot it is." Cadence said, going to stand back up. // Benji held onto her shoes, "Where this has been fun and all, I'd be okay leaving as well. I have work in the morning to get to." He offered an arm for Cadence being polite. he smiled a little when she took it, but then looked a little shocked when she pulled him along with them. // Felix followed behind and furrowed his brow looking at his Dad and Cadence, mumbling under his breath, "how gentlemanly..." // "Um, yeah, but I also know everyone has different taste in music, so don't get your panties in a bunch." Tae said with a laugh then went about dancing to the music, bumping up against him. // Kelsey nodded her head, " Well, not everyone got the right upbringing to have learned that kind of respect. Thank you, it's definitely a struggle, but well worth all the hard work put into it." She replied with her own little dig, but playing it off as completely politeness.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh okay. Benji, can you help Cadence out to the car with her shoes, please?" She started to ask, but that shit was already going down so it was a waste of breath. "Shhh, he's just being nice." She said quietly to Felix as she followed along with them out. // "Taste or not, you have to admit when it's good." Noah added, not letting go of this idea that Bryan's band who hadnt even played together in over a year, was the best band ever. He circled his arms around her, moving along with the music and staying close, intending to enjoy every second of Bryan's band like a fucking fanboy. // Brad nearly choked on his beer listening to the exchange, coughing and patting his chest. "You know it's late and we need to get home to Connor. Good to see you." He said hastily, setting his nearly finished beer down on the bar and attempting to drag Kelsey away from Risa since that bitch is poison, family or not. // Risa smiled politely at Kelsey and Brad as they turned away, lifting her glass to take a sip of her drink before directing her attention to her fucking sloppy ass son on stage.-
Covet: "You shh.." Felix said as he helped Steph out, keeping a look out for Risa. // Kelsey set her glass down, "Yes, we do, I'll see you at the wedding Aunt, Risa." She said with a wave then followed Brad out. // Tae did the dancing thing trading off drinks with Noah.
