After the power surge/failure, no more sound from line in from the cable box. All other sound related issues seems to work. If i go to volume/sound settings, i can choose internal audio, line in, and the meter shows it receiving the output from the cable box. it does not go to the pc speakers. all other video or audio that i play on the pc works fine. the same cable box, on another output and going into the tv tuner card also works, i can  record and play back. i just cant pump line in, making my pc into a home theater speaker system, anymore.....
