  1. [18:01] Walking through the Osrona underground with a his satchel freshly filled with Ore, Frekr was quite satisfied with his haul. He'd managed to find a bit of everything, and more than enough to make a hefty profit and then some.
  2.
  3. Then, as he leaves the cave infested by giant lupines, he comes face to face with an unfamiliar figure. Being that he was in enemy territory, at least technically, Frekr couldn't help his lips from pursing in annoyance. "Oh Hel, 'ere we go."
  4. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [18:09] Danial was making way towards the Chuggum's pit. His appearance at this time? Less than human. Fully garbed in dark clothing and armor the only real visible portion? His face, in which under the influences of his 'carnal' state took a serpent like appearance. A thick scaling showing prominently as a dark cosmic energy radiated in his usually emerald eyes.
  8.
  9. As he moved through the undergrounds a figure would come to view. One that carried a look of satisfaction a desert like appearance over their person. Could this person be amongst those labeled his enemy? Certainly not of Osrona yet contracts upheld to this day still marked the desert dwellers on his list.
  10.
  11. Curios the daunting radiance of his cosmic presence filled the room. A lingering dread in the air. Oppressive in design nearly suffocating in his presence. His magics once stripped now in full effect once again and in the dark of the sewers the voids presence calls.
  12.
  13. "Seems we've found someone." he muttered as if another was in the area, yet the reality was it was only him.
  14.
  15. "Origins traveler?" though based off dress it wasn't necessarily hard to assume. Yet confirmation before acting upon such thought was needed.
  16. (Danial Oshikawa)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [18:18] Frekr frowns at the sight of the creature before him. A man? Or something that had once been a man, now warped by alchemy or some other influence. The young Vanir's eyes scan the figure, picking up on the faint hints of cosmic energy burn in those serpentine eyes.
  20.
  21. Frekr couldn't tell, was this a creature of the Mire? If it was, it was one he hadn't seen before...
  22.
  23. Pressing his tongue in his cheek, Frekr couldn't help the chills that ran down his spine from the ominous aura that hung about Danial. When the creature finally speaks, Frekr's eyes flit about the room, searching for whom or whatever he might be addressing.
  24.
  25. Finding no one, Frekr brings Danial back into focus. Taking a deep breath, Frekr tightens the straps on his satchel before answering, "Frekr Gullmunr, o' th' Vanir, an' you, stranger?"
  26.
  27. Though even as he spoke, Frekr began to funnel mana into the earth beneath his feet, preparing for the worst.
  28. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [18:24] As he felt the flow of mana from the other, his own would spike directing towards that of his fist, hardening and enhancing his potential striking prowess. To him it still felt weird in comparison to that of the sword but an opportunity quickly raising to test the practices he's committed since incarceration. Yet fighting here under the city likely wasn't in his best of interest.
  32.
  33. "Danial. Mercenary. With such the Vanir's enemy."
  34.
  35. He cared not if they knew his name. As such would only help his own infamy should this person escape. Employed by the Shadowmire it marked these people his enemy. A truly interesting find within the dark undergrounds of the shimmering city.
  36.
  37. "Now normally I wouldn't expect to find one so far from the desert but opportunity nonetheless."
  38.
  39. He announced the eerie presence of the void growing ever stronger as his mana's began to work.
  40.
  41. "So I guess I'll ask. Fight or flight? Your choice really one way or another a potential."
  42. (Danial Oshikawa)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [18:24] Gilligan walked into the area spotting Billy watching a person. Her head tilted sideways and a m alicious grin grew. Prey?
  46. (Gilligan)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [18:31] Scratching his jaw, Frekr looks at the so-called Mercenary carefully for some time, considering the situation. As Gilligan arrives, a soft "Tch" leaves his throat. This was a rather peculiar position to be in - Frekr at least had no coin on him, at the moment. But he still had heaps of ore beside, and would rather not lose all that potential profit.
  50.
  51. But as a follower of the Three, he knew Garljing and Kark would disapprove should he take the opportunity to turn tail. That didn't sit right with him.
  52.
  53. "Y' call y' self a Mercenary. Does that mean y' are only th' enemy o' m' people as y' are currently under employ?" He'd call out to Danial, keeping one eye on Gilligan the whole time. That woman made him uneasy, almost as much as the serpentine man-creature's aura did.
  54.
  55. "If tha' be th' case, p'haps we might be able t' come t' some arrangement? Either I could be payin' y' t' turn coat an' join th' side tha's gonna win - or y' could pay me t' pretend I never saw y' so I can have a good an' righteous reason t' take m' leave..." Letting his voice trail off, Frekr sighs and cracks his neck.
  56.
  57. "Otherwise, 'fraid it'll 'ave t' be a fight... So, s'pose at th' end o' th' day it rests on y' preference. Either way, one o' us will surely be gettin' paid. Either in coin, or in blood."
  58. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [18:35] As the kiddo spoke, Gilligan perked up. That accent. That familiar Vanir accent. The grin grew wider, canine teeth on full display and her left eye twitched slightly. Her dark black claws clacked together, they were definitely prey!
  62.
  63. (Gilligan)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. [18:38] As a Mercenary the promise of coin should hold meaning yet it truly held no Value. As truth was, he wasn't much a mercenary despite working in the lines of a sell sword. His instance, the Vanir were labeled target for the alliances his group withheld within the Shadowmire. So with that in mind he only offered a crooked smirk in response.
  67.
  68. "Doubtful you could cover the costs."
  69.
  70. A statement to uphold the ploy of his lines of work. The dreadful aura continuing to assault those around. Sheer chaotic energy as the void star he attuned to continued to show it's presence.
  71.
  72. He too took notice to Gilligan's arrival opportunities as such came few and far between a simple nod offered as they moved.
  73.
  74. "It'll have to be a fight I'm afraid."
  75.
  76. Yet it can't be said the hooded individual held no honor, an announcement of intent. Opportunity given. Regardless it seemed they made up their mind and with such so was Danial's. He'd take a step back broadening his stance a bit showing he'll give at least the chance to ready themselves in the face of a challenger.
  77. (Danial Oshikawa)
  78. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  79.
  80. [18:43] Gilligan looks at her 23 dangers
  81. (Gilligan)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [18:48] An incursion close to well. . .enemy territory. He was attempting to get a lay of the land, it was imperative to his own future missions. The sleepy eyed youth came across a rather strange scene during this exploration.
  85.
  86. A hooded individual seemed to be heading towards a somewhat familiar figure, was that not Frekr the Vanir? A step back and a broad stance showed that perhaps the conversation had erupted into hostilities.
  87.
  88. "Tide's blessing. . ." he called out, the sonorous and enchanting voice enshrouded the cavern briefly. He shifted his posture, though his movements seemed languid, their was a practiced step to them.
  89.
  90. "A problem?" he queries, to him it seemed as if the Vanir was outnumbered. Though a glance at Gilligan told the sirenian they were a bit 'different' than other land dwellers. The elongated fingers, and dark coloration of skin.
  91.
  92.
  93. (Lotan)
  94. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  95.
  96. [18:54] Shifting his gaze for but a moment, Frekr looks over to Lotan and offers the Achyonian a sly little grin. "I keep tellin' everyone I'm blessed by Garljing, but th' lot o' em don't believe me. How can they not, wi' luck like this?" He muses, before turning his eyes back to Danial.
  97.
  98. "Y' don't know m' name, do y' Danial? Hmph… Well, y' will soon 'nuff. Ol' Frekr 'ere is th' man tha' will take the Vanir from a bunch o' tribals squattin' on th' desert to a proper Colony, spreadin' 'cross this land - by sheer willpower an' lots an' lots o' gold alone." He'd call back when Danial dared to doubt how deep his pockets really went.
  99.
  100. Then, with a sigh Frekr extends his hand and from his satchel flows what seem to be liquid Gold and Copper, though the gold was in truth Orichalcum. The mixed and melded to form a brilliant bow with a glimmering runed surface, which Frekr takes in hand.
  101.
  102. "If it's gunnae be a fight, least mark m' words, y' are makin' a mistake by choosin' wha' ever side y' are. An' if y' win? Least leave me wit' a proper scar, Aye?"
  103. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  104. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  105.
  106. [19:00] Another approached one of clear Achyon origins. Not the enemy yet if they wished to contest such a bout he wouldn't argue that's for sure. However his sights remained locked upon Frekr as it seemed a speech was in order prior to anything. A rather long drawn one at that yet he listened he could at least offer such casualties before the bout.
  107.
  108. "There is no mistake. Yet depending on everything we'll see what can be arranged."
  109.
  110. As weapon was at hand and form properly shown he'd offer nod to the opposing combatant before the dark cosmics that imbued his person showed forth twisting and turning within his palms molding a heated orb growing by the second before ripping forth aimed towards Frekr to start things off.
  111. (Danial Oshikawa)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [19:00] {Lost Aggressive RPB against Danial Oshikawa}
  115. [19:00] * You have been awarded 3 Roleplay Points! *
  116. [19:00] ** Danial Oshikawa has inflicted an injury upon Frekr Gullmunr. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "") **
  117. [19:00] Battle started quick as his energies flourished the Orb finding pace towards his foe with ease, yet a moment of break provided as a metal hand gripped him. Powerful magic as it was it didn't leave him defenseless. The seeping energies of the cosmos he had been emanating since the encounter begin showed forth once again raining down around them. Scorching the earths under their oppressive might.
  118.
  119. As he found freedom he'd feint in seemingly fading into the nothingness around him as the shadows that filled the room encircled him. A rush forward targeted at the back of Frekr empowered by the dark. A truly devastating blow but it wouldn't end there. Danial would enter a series of unarmed tactics closing in and striking with great might each blow aimed at a varying portion of the chest whittling down their stamina's.
  120.
  121. And as the round came to a close? His cosmic powers charged once again as he faded, pushing his hands forward releasing a condensed ray of energy to further inflict the corrupt might of his star. To show it's dreadful grace after laying dormant for so long. . .The battle would end, hard fought on either end but Danial himself was like a beast. A creature in a sense, moving now to claim his prize.
  122. (Danial Oshikawa)
  123. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  124.
  125. [19:00] The battle was intense, to say the least. Frekr unleashed a ceaseless tide of stone and steel unto Danial, doing his damndest to best back the creature and keep his distance. But every time he did, Danial conjured forth that savage orb of cosmic energy to pursue and Frekr would answer with a titanic arrow of his own.
  126.
  127. But as the fight raged on, one thing became abundantly clear: Frekr was under equipped and being utterly overpowered by Danial's onslaught. Then, in what might have been the final devastating blow Danial shattered Frekr's armor of earth and began to lay into him relentlessly.
  128.
  129. In the end, Frekr was left in a broken, and beaten heap, smoke rising from his bruised and battered form. "Bloody Hel... Did better than I 'xpected…"
  130. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [19:00] Cosmic energy blazed to life beneath the cavern but the Vanir seemed to be putting up a well enough fight. Commanding the very earth to shift, and gravitate around their form! The land-dwellers used such strange magic!
  134.
  135. He was only familiar with Frekr being a Vanir because of his relations with the outpost. He had seen him from a distant --- a clash, a blast of energy. Frekr was downed the shadowed figure loomed over the fallen warrior. Was he attempting to take them hostage?
  136.
  137. The sirenians' eyes flickered, it was one thing to have a fair matchup that ended in a loss. It was a completely different thing to watch a potential ally be taken away to Sycllas scales knows where.
  138.
  139. "Hey Bristlemouth, what are you doing?"
  140.
  141. the sleepy-eyed youth states, and as a hollow like blade is removed from his waist water energy jets around its
  142. form. The blade whirls, shimmering briefly in the dim light. Ice projects itself forward briefly halting Danials' approach to Frekr.
  143.
  144. "You fought honorably but I don't think this one has honorable intentions. . ." between the shadowed figure and Gilligan both of them felt. . .off. He certainly could not be a neutral party in such a situation.
  145.
  146.
  147. (Lotan)
  148. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  149.
  150. [19:00] Lotan exclaims, "Hmpfh Bristlemouth it looked like it was going to be two on one!"
  151. [19:00] Frekr Gullmunr says, "Very nice."
  152. [19:00] Gilligan Watched as danial fought for the person she now held within her claws. She was tempted... Claws tightening around Frekr's head.... BUt this was meant for the mire. For torgon... Then for her art.
  153. (Gilligan)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [19:00] An interesting display of magic from the one that contested his claim. His prize, an onslaught of water and mist. Ice throwing out devastating terrains yet. It wasn't anything Danial wasn't use to at least for the most part. He'd move around the battlefield looking for a series of openings and once found? His magics would charge enhancing his physical limits to the max before feinting forward, a ploy to obtain a defensive measure before a vicious strike from the rear would commit.
  157.
  158. The dance would continue for sometime, his reserves beginning to tap. A means of victory looking a bit slim. Yet he couldn't allow his capture to escape, not this time. With such in his plight he'd charge his corrupt cosmic energies once more. A similar orb to that in which initiated combat with the other showing its gruesome presence. Growing ever stronger as he charged.
  159.
  160. His body moved looking for the ideal shot before allowing it to rip forward. Travelling swiftly upon the interloper it'd find way marking the chest dragging them away with sheer force alone. The wound it inflicted could be seen rather gruesomely in the form of an immense burn scattered across their chest the dark callings of the power Danial played with tempting each of the previous combatants a knock heard but will it be answered?
  161.
  162. "Ahh the other here? Unexpected to say the least. Yet it seems I've claimed victory this time. Unfortunate for him."
  163.
  164. He'd respond now moving towards his capture.
  165.
  166. "You put up a good fight yet for progress to be found. I'll have to take you in. Foolish to accept the challenge."
  167.
  168. Picking up the fallen now his gaze would shift towards Gilligan.
  169.
  170. "Let Torgon know I'm out and about once again. I'll continue my moves against the Vanir as opportunity arises."
  171. (Danial Oshikawa)
  172. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  173.
  174. [19:00] Frekr lay there, conscious but too broken to move - much less make a run for it - and watched as Lotan put on a show unlike any he'd seen before. The Mist Magi was incredible, seeming to dance in and out of existence as his form evaporated and came together again. It was rather majestic to behold in his state of intense pain.
  175.
  176. When the battle came to an end though? Lotan was the one on the floor, though Danial seemed to be badly beaten for it. Frekr's face had a small smile at the sight. "...Thanks a lot, y' fool o' fools... Fightin' fer someone y' 'ardly know..." The greedy little Vanir managed to groan out before turning his gaze to Danial.
  177.
  178. The creature was even more menacing now that Frekr was defenseless and on his back. Yet, fear was the last thing on his mind as Danial spoke of taking him in. Instead, there was only disgust, and disappointment in himself. In his own weakness.
  179.
  180. Again, he had failed. Again, he had been defeated. And this time? This time there was no one to save him, no one to help him to his feet. Lotan had tried, his best, and Frekr would remember the debt he was owed. But that fact made Frekr even more disgusted.
  181.
  182. He shouldn't need to be protected, or taken care of. He wanted to be the one protecting his friends, his family, his Hoard...
  183.
  184. Taking a deep breath, Frekr finally replies to Danial. "Do what y' will, but know y' won't be breakin' me, even if who or whatever y' serve takes m' life..." He'd reply, doing his best to show defiance. But truth be told?
  185.
  186. The Hope he held in his heart was a cinder, smoldering among ashes. It could still be rekindled. But would Frekr have the time to give it such tender care?
  187. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  188. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  189.
  190. [19:00] Freeze
  191.
  192. The thought flickered in his mind as his sword clashed with the strange hooded figure. The magic of this particular individual was. . .a display of cosmic energies. It felt familiar yet at the same time foreign. The arcanium sword they wielded seemed laced with occultic energy, something the sirenian was become more familiar with.
  193.
  194. "Shells!" A close call had the sleepy eyed youth swearing, as he shifted across the floor. Ice and mist enshrouded his form, and even as they danced in the fog of battle his strikes were calculated. Careful.
  195.
  196. He was like a shark. . .waiting patiently for Danial's struggle to come to an end. For him to draw closer. Yet this dance was one that was often more dangerous than anyone realized. One wrong move and his counter-attacks would be met with a flurry blades, and starlight.
  197.
  198. Yet the dance ended prematurely even as he felt the ice building up and cascading forth in rivulets of aquatic mana. Even as the fog seemed to hang in the air and suffocate his opponent.
  199.
  200. Boom!
  201.
  202. The shot released by the hooded figure sent the sirenian spiraling backwards despite knowing that if he pushed just a bit harder . . . A resounding crash, the earth was sundered. A burning wound laced his chest, dark magicks flaring to life around it. As if heading Danial's calls.
  203.
  204. "Torgon?" the name made his eyes flare, as Danial spoke to Gilligan after pushing him back. "You bastar - " his words cut short as the wound on his chest caused the world to spin.
  205.
  206. How had he let this enemy get the better of him?
  207.
  208. "Vanir, I am sorry. . . I have failed." The young man stated. Why had he faltered? Mist exploded from around his form. For the time being he was forced to make his escape, his arm was still injured and now his chest. . he was doubtful he could continue a struggle against the opposing side.
  209.
  210. The mist coagulated, and like a tidal wave it pushed forth! Enshrouding the sirenian and parts of the cavern. So thick the cold condensed air could be felt prickling the skin. Like icy little needles.
  211. (Lotan)
  212. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  213.
  214. [19:00] As the battle was fought between the militairy looking guy and Billy, Gilligan's claws pressed harder around the Vanri's head, in an almost bloodthirsty fashion. The orders were to kill, after all. To kill~
  215.
  216. But there was a sense of honor and order within the small mutant. Billy had captured this one, and she would let them... Well, maybe she'd let them keep the prey if they won.
  217.
  218. Yellow eyes watched the water and the fire focus, the beams and the misty clouds all while staying away from the heat. And when the smoke settled, she saw Billy stand victorious yet again.
  219.
  220. "WOOO~~ YOU DID IT BILLY!~~" She called and momentarily let go of the Vanirhallan to clap her hands! She then grabbed them by the hair and carelessly dragged them to Danials side where she let go. She held up a hand, for a high five!
  221.
  222. "GOOD JOB~~ Now we have them for the mire~~ Kill them kill them, kill them!!!" She singsang and almost danced around the downedbody. "Do it, do it - OR I COULD DO IT?~"
  223.
  224. It was clear that she was REALLY trying to hold back her excitement of spilling the prey's blood. PRey that wasn't TECHNICALLY hers... But, it belonged to the mire. She watched him pick up the Vanir, anticipating the final blow.
  225.
  226. "Do It billy~!"
  227. (Gilligan)
  228. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  229.
  230. [19:00] As the captive was exchanged he'd clapse hands with that of Gilligan not really expecting as such but it seemed at least she remembered the name given a year ago? Almost two if he recalled. An interesting thing but for now the call of blood wouldn't be heeded.
  231.
  232. "Ahh, as much as I'd like to give him a quick end here. I cannot. We've in the end some experiments to conduct. I'll bring forth the body when we are done."
  233.
  234. For most captures at the hands of him and his people ended in sacrifice to the star to continue the dreadful grace it's bestowed upon them. Yet now wasn't the time or place for such. As first his Mentor needed to check the person.
  235.
  236. Instead he'd move grabbing a cloth from his person to wrap around the Vanir's head. For where they were going need not be known.
  237.
  238. "You can accompany me if you'd like. You are friend in the end. Otherwise I'll be taking this one elsewhereto be dealt with."
  239.
  240. A sad end might lay in the future for the Vanir warrior. A chance encounter gone terribly wrong for them. Yet a blessing in its own right for Danial and those he associated with.
  241. (Danial Oshikawa)
  242. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  243.
  244. [19:00] Frekr was ashamed of the cowardice he felt as Gilligan began to call for his death, sweat beginning to pour from his form. He wouldn't say anything, not verbally at least. He'd said his part to these two.
  245.
  246. Instead, he'd close his eyes. Waiting. Praying.
  247.
  248. "Garljing, welcome me to your Hoard..." He began and then - Danial spoke again, and before Frekr could even finish his prayer a sense of relief washed over him.
  249.
  250. It seemed the Gods had other plans for him, at least for a little while longer.
  251. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  252. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  253.
  254. [19:00] Gilligan stared at Billy for a second, confused. She frowned for a moment and the toothy grin faded as she tilted her head sideways.
  255.
  256. "What do you mean, hmm~~ We have orders! Kill THEM~~" Then curiosity overcame her and she leaned forward, further, as she watched him wrap the Vanir's head with cloth.
  257.
  258. "Experiments? Hmm?? By Torgon??"
  259. (Gilligan)
  260. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  261.
  262. [19:00] A simple shake of the head.
  263.
  264. "Torgon is aware we will be conducting experiments though. Yet this is of my Mentor's own. He will be dealt with properly when it is all said and done."
  265.
  266. He'd confirm. As the Dullahan king was only aware of the intent and last they spoke? Cared not if they conducted such as the end game was the same. Captures were to be killed and brought to the Mire as such works were finished.
  267.
  268. "Yet it should prove interesting if you'd again like to accompany me for the time being. To make sure the deed is done if you've a linger of doubt."
  269. (Danial Oshikawa)
  270. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  271.
  272. [19:00] Gilligan squinted her eyes at Danial, suspicious of what he meant with experiments. She had certainly not head anything about it! Nope~~
  273.
  274. But curiosity... She allowed it to take her for now and nodded, agreeing to come.
  275.
  276. "I will watch for your experiments. Are they like art?"
  277.
  278. She asked, tilting her head the other way as she flexed her claws over Frekr before wrapping them behind her back, ready to follow Billy wherever he was going.
  279. (Gilligan)
  280. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  281.
  282. [19:00] Experimentation he wasn't fully aware of the conducts towards. A chance to test the limitations of the book. Likely a ritualistic setting would be involved.
  283.
  284. "Hehe, I've yet to see what -he- intends. However it'll prove interesting to say the least. It always does."
  285.
  286. In reality Danial in terms of his Mentor's experimentation arrived as many began this is a new one they've theory crafted. A limit test if you would and should it pay off? A great achievement in itself. However he'd waste little time at this point moving off now.
  287. (Danial Oshikawa)

  291. {LOAD GAME}
  292.
  293. [19:00] The travel was long and surprisingly unhindered in their advance as Danial led them across the planes of Esshar, the scenery changing yet it'd go unnoticed towards the like of Frekr as he was bound and covered to prevent the location from being known. The only clear sighs? A scent of salt on the air, the sound of waves nearby as he made way into a nearby cave.
  294.
  295. Within the place he called home he'd lead them there where his Mentor was sitting tossing down the capture before them. In his company one of the Mire dwellers.
  296.
  297. "Greetings. An unexpected occurrence down in the sewers. A fruitful one at that." he'd explain moving about the large cavern grabbing a series of items. Including that of a bowl and knife before returning to Frekr. Grasping one of the hands an incision would be made to gather some of the blood within the bowl before offering it towards that of Akumu.
  298. (Danial Oshikawa)
  299. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  300.
  301. [19:00] {Item} You drop Maki Roll.
  302. [19:00] {Item} You picked up Maki Roll. Dropped by Frekr Gullmunr..
  303. [19:00] Akumu had been laying down completely still. His soul originally was going to drift across the ethereal realm yet in light of the visitors his soul swiftly went back into his body. Luckily he didn't get very far in his astral projection. Standing back up slowly Akumu stretches his body shifting his gaze to the captured one. The older Oshikawa begins making his way towards Danial and he drew his tome.
  304.
  305. Probably one of the most dreaded items existing. It radiated with divine magic filled with murderous intent and upon the blood being offered that ill intent was locked onto the Vanirhallan.
  306.
  307. "This doesn't look like a knight. A Vanirhallan then? Mmm I wonder if that girl Ragnhild remembers me."
  308.
  309. He highly doubt the lady remembered her. The only reason he could remember Ragnhild's name is due to it being one of the peaceful interactions he had after his sister died. Most others was either kill or them trying to kill him.
  310.
  311. He begins to write in his tome an incomplete statement. It only said -the owner of this blood- After he was finish he hands Danial a collar for him to put on Frekr's neck.
  312. (Akumu Oshikawa)
  313. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  314.
  315. [19:00] Frekr remained a limp fleshy sack full of broken bones and ruptured organs as Danial carried him across Aegis to a cave he had never seen before. The briney air was familiar, it told him they were close to the sea - maybe even close to the Outpost he called home. But that was where any familiarity ended.
  316.
  317. The cave was like a palace. Huge, with cavernous vaulted ceilings and many rooms. Frekr could tell that much from his own attunement to the earth all around them. It's ornamentation foreign to the young Vanir, a boy who had barely come of age and yet to even earn the Tattoos that would mark him as an Adult among the Vanir. The Tattoos that bound him to their gods, body and soul.
  318.
  319. It was with a grim stoicism that Frekr watches as his arm was taken and a blade dragged across it. He didn't cry out, compared to the pain of being crushed by Ogres several times in his life, this was nothing.
  320.
  321. However, the offering - it worried him.
  322.
  323. Clearing his throat, Frekr speaks with a wheeze as Akumu approaches. "Aye, tha's right... M' name is Frekr Gullmunr, an I am a Vanir... As f' th' Lorekeeper, I dunnae think she w' forget an ugly bastard like y' self. No need t' worry 'bout that." He'd say, doing his best to remain defiant, to put up a strong front.
  324.
  325. Internally, the cinders of his Hope had begun to rekindle, a smouldering light beginning to spread among the embers. The fact he wasn't dead yet meant there was still a chance he'd make it home.
  326. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  327. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328.
  329. [19:00] It seemed the captive took it upon himself to confirm place of origin, however when his mentor asked a simple nod would cross. The words spoken by the captive though? An insult, with such his boot lifted from the earths planting itself across the back of his head. A reminder of the situation he was in to say the least.
  330.
  331. After which he'd take up the collar moving towards the man now placing it to his neck. Danial himself cared not for the collars but knew first hand the effects they could carry. As the imprints from the one he was bound were still fresh on his skin.
  332.
  333. "What do you intend to do this one?"
  334.
  335. The man should have really taken his offer to run in the first place. Taken, that likely would have resulted in a chase down anyways the simple fact he extended the chance was something.
  336.
  337. The end game towards most captures was the star in the end but other intents other plans were instated as well the need for such people present. A chance or opportunity if you would to really test the limitations of the book.
  338. (Danial Oshikawa)
  339. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  340.
  341. [19:00] Defiance was something to be commendable in certain times, but to Akumu this was not one of those times. He toys with the tome in his hand now since he was called an ugly bastard. His response was simple. "When people die they usually return to the stars, but dying to me?" Suddenly four voices escape him. The appearance of four different souls also seem to appear. They were latched onto him showing that he did indeed eat their souls.
  342.
  343. "You don't have a chance to even die right! You're forever condemned to either the void or latched onto me to simply be used as a weapon. A weapon to possibly slaughter those you called friends!"
  344.
  345. There were many things he could do. Rift mancy experiments? It had been a while since he tried shoving a live person to a rift portal he attempted to make. Port his soul one a one way trip to the void? He sacrificed to his star recently.
  346.
  347. Thus the idea of either devouring his soul or using it as part of a weapon crafting material played in his mind. His void star made an appearance flooding the area with cosmic energy. The black goblet fills up rapidly. He hands it over to Danial and speaks. "Force him to drink it until I say stop." Hopefully he wasn't a holy magi. If he was well that was bad news for him since the liquid was occult based.
  348. (Akumu Oshikawa)
  349. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  350.
  351. [19:00] Frekr's glare remains fixed on the real Akumu as those four voices escape and he projects what appeared to be spirits from his form. The harder the being before him tried to terrify the Vanir, the less intimidating the whole situation was.
  352.
  353. "Y' ego so soft y' feel th' need t' be so flashy? Feel big now, d' ya lad, trying to scare a Vanir tha' ain't e'en got 'is Tattoos yet, 'm? Y' momma not love y' enough? Tha' why y' still got ol' Ragnhild on th' mind, hmmm? Oh, no, I think I knae what y' problem is." He'd retort quickly, shooting off at the mouth like an automatic weapon before doing his best to lean forward and look Akumu in the eye.
  354.
  355. "Y' ain't doin' t' well downstairs, tha's it, eh? A wee lil' maggot wrigglin' round down there?" He'd ask, turning his gaze to Akumu's crotch before looking the abomination in the eye once more.
  356.
  357. It was all a good show, but the entire situation had Frekr's heart racing in his chest. He knew his life hung in the balance, a fragile golden thread that might be cut at any moment.
  358.
  359. And then the Goblet was presented, with it's unknowably vile contents, and the order was given to Danial. Frekr's eyes shift to the creature that had captured him and began rattling off again. "Oh no y' don't. Don'tcha come near me wit' tha' filth! I'll bite yer frackin' hand off, y' scaly Bastard...!"
  360. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  361. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  362.
  363. [19:00] Akumu Oshikawa says, "Strip him as well. Going to leave him unable to have children by making him rot from the waist down."
  364. [19:00] With mouths like this it was no wonder the Vanir made enemies literally anywhere. However such mattered little, a bit agitating to listen to at best. However it wasn't his place to decide what is to be done. No, he was in the end a foot soldier an enforcer for the plans at hand. A simply fact he's accepted long ago. This one before them knew not the horrors that awaited.
  365.
  366. So as the glass filled vile responded to the presence of their star a simple smirk appeared over Danial's form. He knew not what affects the liquid itself could have on a person. Yet the results could only prove interesting. So with the goblet at hand filling and spilling over at the might of the cosmos they attuned to. He'd move, placing boot to his back pushing him down before letting up slightly once again.
  367.
  368. "Feeble insult in itself." he'd comment towards the captive. Kneeling down with a bit of force before a hand reached for the back of their head. Pulling it up a grip like iron in itself holding him as he positioned the goblet letting the occulted rank of the fluids themselves fill the air around them before tilting back. The dark mass spilling towards their mouth as he did in what seemed to be an unending production under the oppressive might which surrounded them.
  369.
  370. Though despite the command he'd await a moment to know when the fluids were drank before moving towards the secondary request.
  371. (Danial Oshikawa)
  372. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  373.
  374. [19:00] Frekr clamped his mouth shut, shaking his head and internally screaming insults at the duo as the goblet approached his lips. Whatever was inside it, Frekr was certain of one thing - he didn't want it inside HIM.
  375.
  376. But soon, the insults give way to something else, an internal prayer to the Three. "Great and Might Garljing, I beseech you as I have never before. I beg of you, as I would no other. You know me, as no other does. I am Frekr. I am your servant in all things. Every piece of gold that has passed betwixt my fingers has done so in your name. Every drop of blood spilt by my hand and by my vein has been to sate your thirst." The prayer began as the goblet was pressed against against his lips. The smell alone was enough to bring tears to his eyes - and as the goblet tilts back to pour it's contents forth, Frekr weeps unashamedly.
  377.
  378. He keeps his mouth closed, at least a bit longer as the Ichor stains his flesh and fountained down his chin. It began to flow up his nostrils as he struggled to breath, and so he held his breath for as long as he could.
  379.
  380. All the while, Frekr continues to pray. "Your enemies are mine, and now they seek to take from me the things most precious to a man. They seek to rob me of my life, my soul, and my most prized of all jewels. I beg of you stay their hand. I beg of you change this accursed fate. And if not, I beg of you strike them down and return all that is taken from me ten fold, that I might serve you evermore..."
  381.
  382. By now the downpour of corruption had begun to flow up his nose despite his refusal to breathe. It made him choke, and wretch, and gag, and despite his best efforts his mouth fell open as his survival instincts betrayed their very nature. The cave is filled with vile gargling and sloppy choking sounds as Frekr's body rejects the unholy substance, vomiting it up as fast as it could. But not faster than it poured down...
  383.
  384. And still, Frekr endured, his eyes rolling back as his body is wracked by horrible convulsions. His body suffered and so he retreated deeper into the sanctity of his mind. "Do not forsake me, My God. Do not abandon me, a servant who has toiled tirelessly in your name. I plead with you with nothing to offer but that which already belongs to you... all I have, and all I ever will have. All I am, and all I ever will be."
  385.
  386. And then, his eyes rolled back as his body began to grow still, the convulsions ceasing as he grows still... At least for a moment.
  387. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  388. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  389.
  390. [19:00] It was amusing that Frekr was going through what he went through. Except the difference is Akumu consumed it willingly in an attempt to use the corruption of the occult to influence his emotions and push him closer to chaos. With Frekr? He wouldn't be surprised if the man went insane and started attacking his comrades fiercely.
  391.
  392. On his orbitofrontal cortex which is involved with motivation along with his nucleus accumbens involved with the sense with its reward was having marks forming of a skull eating a star. A typical sign of occultism he represented. Even on Akumu's own brain in two areas did these signs appear. Yet he did so willingly unlike by force. Naturally they'll be some backlash for Frekr.
  393.
  394. In addition the limbic system which influences emotions was affected due to prolong exposure of the goblet for negative emotions. He was throwing Frekr's brain out of whack to become addicted to the occult and to desire it like a meth head addicted to meth.
  395.
  396. This could possibly be removed with major use of holy magic but he'll really need to overcome this trial for such. Yet he also could fall into depravity which is what Akumu hoped for. After all the harm on the life stream and people dying in mass brought pleasure to the older Oshikawa.
  397.
  398. "Take his clothes and stuff. He's now in the tome so he won't die right.
  399. (Akumu Oshikawa)
  400. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  401.
  402. [19:00] {Lost Restrained RPB against Akumu Oshikawa}
  403. [19:00] The reaction presented was an interesting one. Danial himself though an enforcer never really partook in things like this and the captive he's managed to bring in? Likely never experienced the twisted design of this. A truly indifferent one as he heard the pleas. Help likely not granted, at least not in this place. As this dwelling continued to seep in the stars oppressive embrace. Signs of occulted energies resonating strongly in the room as the Chalice was removed.
  404.
  405. He'd step back now offering the object at hand back to his mentor. A gruesome display, yet Danial was 'numb'. Emotional ties severed long ago, his research of the dark one of the only ambitions he had left. Though this was gruesome he looked on rather uncaring. He simply awaited the next command. With such the order to remove them of their things. Only a nod crossing as he moved to do so.
  406.
  407. However as he finished he'd step back his cold gaze resting upon the Vanir.
  408.
  409. "A shame. This has been. Likely a dreadful experience in itself yet. You really should have ran."
  410. (Danial Oshikawa)
  411. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  412.
  413. [19:00] ** Akumu Oshikawa has inflicted an injury upon Frekr Gullmunr. ("A step back can be 2 steps forward", "Several occultic markings appear on his brain. The limbic system which effects emotion driving him further away from holy magic, the orbitofrontal cortex which gives him motivation to seek the occult, and nucleus accumbens to give him the feeling of being rewarded for seeking the occult. This combination is meant to make him desire to use the occultic magic yet if he can overcome such a trial perhaps he can get rid of this injury.", "Permanent", "Severity: MODERATE (-10 Vit)") **
  414. [19:00] Frekr lay there unconscious, his body twitching and spasming involuntarily as the unholy concoction seemed to rewrite his neurons, twisting the very physical functions that made Frekr who he was. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience, in the same way that nuclear bombardments were minor inconveniences.
  415.
  416. That is to say, it was living hell. Occult magic seeped into his mind and as was only natural, his thoughts were bombarded by horrible, violent visions. He saw himself torn to pieces by wolves. Then he was the wolves. Not one, but all of them. He could taste the blood in his mouth. But then it wasn't him being torn apart. It was his friends, his family, his people. The Vanir. The Gems of his Hoard.
  417.
  418. Frekr's tears ran black as the Ichor floods his sinuses and oozes out of his tearducts, the pain and loss of these visions threatening to drive him mad. With each new scene he found himself pushed closer to the edge of some great expansive emptiness. A gaping maw of Dark that wanted nothing more but to swallow him up.
  419.
  420. But then, there was a light. It was a faint, furtive thing barely visible amidst the dark. But it had such a pleasant glimmer. A familiar glimmer Frekr couldn't immediately place. The mere sight of it provided much needed warmth, like the dying light of a campfire during a harsh northern winter.
  421.
  422. Frekr's psyche flocked to it. Not so much his Ego, which was being torn apart and remade by the constant assault of Occult energies, but something more primal, something more basic. The core of who he was, that which was most key for the corruption to take root and become impossible to overcome. It was his Id, that part of him that was like an animal, that knew to fear the Dark all around and the things that crawled and clawed their way closer with every passing moment.
  423.
  424. But that light seemed to flare brighter, pulsing like a heart beat and keeping those things at bay, at least for now. It was weak and distant, but it was Hope, and whatever was left of the original Frekr clings to that faint Hope desperately as everything else is twisted into an ugly mockery of whatever it may have once been.
  425.
  426. Then, all at once Frekr wakes with a start. He clutches at his chest and writhes on the floor until he manages to roll onto his knees, wretching and vomiting up the Ersatz Ichor that hadn't completely bonded with his being.
  427.
  428. When it's done, he just remain there with his forehead in a swamp of his own sick, desperately gasping for the air his oxygen deprived lungs demanded.
  429. (Frekr Gullmunr)
