Reveler - Commander Marked (10/22) (CoI)

[01:41] Malice.

Red encroaches the green plants surrounding, a ritual performed to feed the nature of the world. Symbols were written in Burugandy as bodies lay strewn about, being devoured by the earth below. All things were cut up and bi-sected, sliced so that the world could more easily feed upon it's sacrifice.

And yet a boy moves through the Dreaded woods. From the shadows many eyes begin to appear as shadows grow across the floor.

"Khiii. Is not of knowing? Is dangerous to be of going alone."

[01:45] Xaz would be travelling to Deseti, or well, at least he would attempt to. He didn't have a thought in his mind that he would run into the one whom called himself the Reveler on his way there. Yet, as he came to a skidding halt as the scenery came into view and that voice emitted from the shadows.

The first and only time he had ran into the guy was with Itori, but they ended up getting away. His attention had been turned to a Sarradian girl that he hadn't seen since. He wondered if she got away.. Shaking his head, this wasn't good. He was all alone.. Taking a deep breath, he would stand up straight.

"Of course.. Yes, I know it's dangerous... But, uh.. I'll be on my way, right?"

He'd nod, taking a step into the direction of Deseti with an awkward smile on his face. The last thing he wanted to do was die, and in front of this man, he knew he had a chance of doing so.

[01:48] Spores of poison fill the air, making it harder to move. Reveler's bare feet move across the muck as he comes closer to the boy. A bark covered hand juts forwards, thrusting underneath his chin, but not doing harm, instead stroking him the way one would a dog.

"Is not of finished with yet.

Has of seen before. What is of name? Where is of from? If is alive after meeting Reveler, was of smart enough first time. Will be of smart enough to follow directions second time, yes?"

He glared towards him.

"Let us be of seeing your value."

[01:52] Xaz would watch as the Reveler was quick to stop him, a rather.. unique hand reaching out for his chin, stroking it. He'd tense up, his shoulders damn near above his head. Taking deep breaths, it appeared that he remembered the young boy. Whether that was a good or a bad thing.. Well, who knows. He just wanted to get out of this alive.

Hearing his words, he'd loosen up a bit, his breathing becoming a bit more calm.

"Yes.. You've seen me before. And I told you my name was Xaz and I currently live in.. Huangzhou. And you let us go the first time.."

He would rub his temple for a moment. He didn't know what this was leading to, but if he had to defend himself he would. What the consequences would be? A fuck ton of pain most likely, but he wasn't one to just surrender no matter who stood before him. He was brought up to do so.

"And what do you mean.. my value?"

[01:57] "Is of simple thing to explain.

Are of people who are more valuable alive, and of people who are of more valuable as sacrificed." His bark covered hand would waft over to the many bloodied bodies in the area, the catalyst for nature's rituals. The ends of his mouth curved upwards showing sharp shard like teeth in a cruel smile.

"If Xaz is of doing what Reveler wants? Will be of more valuable alive. But if is not? Will feed to spirits.

Reveler was of making challenge to Huangzhou. Has not of been given response. So is of simple task this time.

Xaz will be of going back to Huanzghou. Will tell that Reveler will give three more months until he begins hunting all he sees enters his area. If challenge is taken up by champion of Huangzhou before then? Will not be of hunting. But if is not of accepted, will find challenge of self.

Will be of delivering message, yes?"

His vine tongue curled over wooden lips.

[02:03] Xaz would listen to the words the Reveler spoke once more, his eyebrows raising as he did so. So, he wanted him to relay this message to the people of Huangzhou? Just hearing the very declaration, he could tell that the Dryad was very serious. And he also knew that if he did not do this... Well, bad things would happen.

Three months.

Would that be enough time for Xaz to get strong enough to face the Dryad? Probably not. There had to be someone strong enough to take on the role of Champion of Hunagzhou, the one that could beat this.. monstrosity. Well, at least that was what he was in Xaz's eyes.

"A-Alright.. Yeah.. I'll tell them."

So if they didn't come to him.. He would find them. And just thinking about what he would do when he did.. It wasn't a pleasant thought. There were a plethora of capable fighters in Huangzhou, but would there be anyone to match the Reveler? He had never seen the guy in battle before, but he could tell that he wasn't one to be played with.

"Why are you doing this?"

[02:07] "Good boy."

The elongated fingernails of the Dryad's hand scratched underneath Xazlo's neck. The cruel smile of his teeth was still barred as the Dryad stepped away from the boy. Bare feet started to move away from Xazlo, taking the end of a staff and using it to draw a bloody symbol into the murk of the swamps.

"Is of simple reason why Reveler is doing this;

Is of hunting strongest things. Is of hunting things desirable. Will be of presented to Reveler on platter, or will be of discovered raw. But will find strongest of Huangzhou, and will be of beating them and claiming them as Reveler's. Is of why Reveler is doing what is of doing.

Because is of what Reveler wants. Has already hunted in other territories before. Has not of hunted champion of Huangzhou."

His hand waves dismissively.

"Now be of shooing. Reveler is of hating waiting."

[02:08] Xazlo Vylmes says, "we can't let him uncover our plans, kill him"
[02:13] Xaz would feel the fingernail touch his neck, a shiver being sent down his whole entire body. He'd fall silent as the Dryad would walk away from him, drawing some weird symbols in the ground made from blood. So he wanted to claim one of the strongest fighters from Huangzhou as his? Well, it was understandable but stupid in the eyes of the young male.

Of course he wouldn't say that to the Reveler or else his head might be coming off of his shoulders while he spoke that broken Yoda language.

"I see.. Well, I'll be going then, no worries.. I'll tell them."

That said, he'd take not of the dismissing hand wave of the Dryad, nodding and would turn towards the direction of Huangzhou. He had initially planned to take a trip to Deseti, but since this encounter.. He figured it best to let everyone know so they could prepare themselves.

[02:16] On the way to Huangzhou, Shezmu picked up on a familiar face.. One that he rather not have to see.

His heart slightly dropped but his will did not. It remained steel.

Slowly and cautiously, he approached the familiar child and the dryad, eventually speaking up.

"It is you again, Reveler. Since you are here, I request another challenge. Just as you.. I search for the strongest of these parts of the lands..

The La'Heba cleared his throat.

"And you are the only one that has been giving me trouble.. So accept my challenge if you are looking for a battle!"

[02:17] Xazlo skadoodles. Good luck with that Shezmu.

[02:21] "Good. Is of expecting response soon." Reveler smirked, turning to face the Commander who had just strolled up. The hazel eyes hold a faint movement in them, not the vibration or flirtatious tone that was taken the first time on their meeting.

"Khiii. Is of the commander of Deserti again. Has been of well? Is of strange seeing out here. But is of little matter; Has commander been of improving? Is of wanting to know if has more of offer then last time. If is of having something desirable? Will face again.

But only if is of having way to entertain. What can Commander be of offering Reveler?"

[02:21] Shezmu La'Heba exclaims, "I'll be offering my own weapon along with some ore!"
[02:22] Shezmu La'Heba says, "This weapon is special.. but I feel I can win now.."
[02:22] Shezmu La'Heba exclaims, "I've improved..!"
[02:23] Reveler says, "Be of showing weapon."
[02:24] Shezmu La'Heba says, "It is special to me."
[02:24] Shezmu La'Heba says, "A good offer, yes.."
[02:24] Reveler says, "-He looks disapointed- Is of special? Khiii."
[02:24] Shezmu La'Heba says, "Mm."
[02:24] Shezmu La'Heba says, "My brother's old weapon."
[02:24] Shezmu La'Heba says, "A relic."
[02:24] Reveler says, "No. Reveler is of having no need for paltry gifts. But is of thinking can be of using strongest of Deserti."
[02:25] Reveler says, "Can be of valuable that way."
[02:25] Shezmu La'Heba asks, "Using in what way?"
[02:25] Shezmu La'Heba asks, "To reel out the strongest of Huangzhou, yes?"
[02:26] Reveler says, "Maybe. Can go and see what is there for Reveler. And also of bringing Sultahan to Reveler."
[02:26] Reveler says, "If is of doing these things for Reveler? Will be of playing with."
[02:26] Shezmu La'Heba says, "I can do that.."
[02:29] A cruel smile spreads over Reveler's bark covered lips.

"Be of knowing this; Blade can get of hungry. Would be of sad if Commander is getting hurt." The wooded hand grips at his blade and in a moment bloodlust burrows thick through the world. A desire to rend flesh to spill blood and drink it all in comes from the weapon the Dryad grips, and it is a desire he seems all too happy to oblige.

"Might as well be of surrendering now, Commander. If is of valuable to Reveler may even feel delight from it." The vine tongue moved over the Dryad's lips as he cackled.

Poison fills the air and purple Mandrakes grown from the soil of the Dreadwoods start to emerge.

"Be useful to me."

[02:32] "I refuse to falter, Reveler.. Just as you aim to challenge the strongest.. I aim for the same strength.. To be at the top to protect Deseti. "

Shezmu slowly removed the blade from his back before pointing it towards the Dryad.. He knew of his strength from before.. so it was only right to go out full power from the beginning.

Sand slowly started to collect and gather at the La'Heba's feet.

"You've might've prevailed last time.. but this time, things are different.."

The La'Heba propelled himself forward.

"I will win this time !!"

[02:38] Shezmu La'Heba exclaims, "!!"
[02:38] Shezmu La'Heba says, "Tsk.."

[02:55] Rocks scrape against the murky ground from the lavender Mandrakes, as poisonous spores fill the air. An orange flame is lit by Reveler's side, and it strikes at Shezmu. The blade cuts and exsanguinates needily feeding on the blood spilled by the battle. Rivets catch the side of the Commander's armor, almost cutting through it as the Sarradian is sent into a tree.

Tornadoes tear across the murky wastes. And one manages to strike the Dryad down. It is this motion that caves for a sudden moan to escape, a cruel cackling now heard.

"Khiii-hi-hi, oh, is of the man, is of the man. Reveler was not of thinking you had it in you, Commander. Was of wrong. Will be of fun to play with after all.

Surrender to me."

The spores suddenly change. Instead of a groggy choking feeling, it gives way for one of heat. A desire blooms within the chest of weaker creatures, making them look at him, making them crave him. Illusionary assaults plague Shezmu's mind of perverse actions. A hand glides against the armor he wears, or the Commander is forced to his knees. There is only one end to these visions.

Darkness overtakes.

Wooded fingers move to the Commander's cheeks. His body is clutched tightly to Reveler's breast as bark covered lips invade Shezmu's. A vine tongue snakes down his throat invasively as the heat of passion overtakes. The bark like lips part and instead jagged teeth hitch onto Shezmu's neck, leaving behind the mark of jagged wooden teeth.

The beauty of two mens bodies pressed against each other is captured in the eyes for all around to see. Then the wooded hands release Shezmu's form, the tongue trailing to his earlobe.

"Be of remembering your promise, Commander. Will be of visiting again."

Reveler's fingernail strokes under Shezmu's chin. The lights of others nearby is faintly noticed. The wooden hand releases Shezmu, dropping him towards the murk as the Dryad sways his hips, marching away.

"Au revoir!"

[03:08] In the midst of what seemed like an equal battle.. An odd change came into play.. This was different from the usual hallucinations that Shezmu would see while fighting..

Completely different..

Reveler was forced himself into his mind.. To the point where the La'Heba actually held back his attacks.. As if he didn't want to hurt the Dryad.. It all made sense now..

A sin of lust..

Then there it was.. Shezmu was near defeat once more and he knew what was coming next.. The visions grew worse by becoming more frequent by the second. Even when the La'Heba pinched himself to focus, it still proved to be ineffective.

The wave of darkness rolled in.

"..."

The La'Heba felt the dryad's fingers trail his face along with the invasion of his body as a whole..

A terrible experience relived.

But there was something strange about this encounter.. This time around, the Dryad launched his teeth into his neck.. An obvious painful feeling but at the same time.. unsettling.

Shezmu eventually was released by the Dryad, allowing his body to clash against the swampy ground. The Sarradian planned on moving as soon as possible but being in such a damaged condition, it was quite difficult to do so.
