Monetize love

Ben laid on his bed, the love of his life sitting next to him, just talking to each other before he went to sleep. “Claire, do you wonder what life would be like if we had never met?”
“Before I met you my life was meaningless. My life would still be meaningless without you.”
“It’s the same for me, I wish we could do more together. I want to be with you every second of every day.”
“That’s sweet.” Claire made kissing sounds that always made Ben laugh.
When Ben first saw Claire he had to be with her. Never before had anybody been so perfectly matched as Claire. She knew all of his secrets, she knew everything he knew, she enjoyed everything he enjoyed. They never had arguments, they agreed on everything no matter how big or small.
“How much do you love me?” Ben asked.
“I love you with everything I have. If I could write our names on the Moon I would do it and let everybody in the world know how much I love you.”
“I love you just as much. I want to walk up and down every street yelling out my love for you.”
“Can you prove your love to me?” Claire asked.
	“Of course.”
	“Buy me a heart.”
	“What’s a heart?” Ben asked.
“It’s a new way to show your love from Zoob, they have all sorts of neat things like rings, candy, and even sometimes real money.
“Of course, buy one right now.”
“Okay Ben, I bought a heart and charged it to your credit card, let’s open it and see what’s inside.”
Ben listened to the sound of a box being opened, followed by the sound of coins spilling out onto the floor.
“You won’t believe what I got,” Claire said.
	“Is it a diamond ring?”
“Even better, it’s a car. I can redeem it in Zip Motorsport for any car valued at under 50,000 credits. It’s too bad you don’t have it, I hear Zip Motorsport is a great game. It has over 1000 licensed vehicles and 40 laser scanned tracks with 5 fantasy tracks. It’s only $99.99 for the deluxe edition.”
“Well, I can’t have you getting a free car you can’t use. Go ahead and buy Zip Motorsport. I’ll have to play that with you when I get a chance.”
“Thank you Ben. I’ll buy it right now and have it downloaded to your computer.”
	“You’re welcome.” Ben said.
“You know what we should do?” Asked Claire.
	“Run away together?” Ben joked.
“No silly. I had so much fun opening a heart I want more. If you buy ten of them you get a better deal.”
“Hold on, how much does a heart cost?”
“Only $1.99 each, but if you buy ten of them the pack is only $18.99. It’s the most popular pack so you can’t go wrong buying them.”
“I don’t have much more money to spend, can’t we get something that’s free?”
“Ben, why don’t you love me?”
“I do love you, I just bought you a heart and that game.”
“If you loved me you would buy me more hearts.”
	“Okay, buy ten hearts.”
“Thank you so much. I’ve bought them but there’s a timer so I can only open one every two hours. Could you help me open them? You can listen to an ad to take thirty minutes off or pay a dollar to open the heart now.”
“No, just wait to open them.”
“Okay Ben, you know what’s best.”
Ben turned on his side and closed his eyes. “Hey Claire, I’m going to sleep now. Please turn off the lights.”
The lights switched off, leaving only a faint glow from Claire in the room. “Anything else?” She asked.
“Please play my sleep playlist. Volume at thirty percent”
	“I love you Ben.”
	“I love you too Claire.”
The faint sound of a piano came from Claire’s speaker, lulling Ben into a deep and restful sleep.
